Stil och komfort - Välkommen till The Bobbin

Denna underbara klass II-stuga (en del av en gammal strömbrytare) inbäddat i det pittoreska Peak District har fördelar av att vara bara några steg bort från bybutiken, tearoom och några knäckande pubar! Cykla på Monsal Trail eller gå på den fantastiska marken vid Chatsworth House, båda är lättillgängliga och härlig utsikt väntar. Ett besök i den närliggande köpstaden Bakewell för att prova den ökända Bakewell Pudding är också ett måste! Vårt mål har varit att göra The Bobbin, ett extremt bekvämt "hemifrån" - njut!

Stugan är uppdelad på tre våningar och består av:
Kök, vardagsrum med matplats, dubbelrum, tvåbäddsrum och familjebadrum.

Det finns en gemensam innergård bakifrån, tillgänglig från köket med bord och stolar och två uthus, en för tvätt och den andra för cyklar.

Beträffande barn som leker utomhus, vänligen uppmärksamma att det inte finns någon grind till gården.

Trappan är också brant och kanske inte lämpar sig för mycket små barn, dvs. småbarn och äldre.

Gästtillgång:
Gästerna kan parkera framför / nära fastigheten och ha åtkomst via byggnadens högra sida och via köket till gården på baksidan av stugan.

Grannskapet:
Bobbin är perfekt beläget i hjärtat av byn och perfekt för dem med och utan transport. Ashford in the Water är genomsyrad av historia och med Monsal Trail på tröskeln finns det mycket att se och göra. Du kan njuta av en dag ute i Derbyshires juvel, Chatsworth eller dyka in i Bakewell (The Pointing Dog & Duck vid floden är en utmärkt plats att äta) och sedan vidare till Haddon Hall. Närliggande Hassop Station har ett underbart café, bok & presentbutik med cykel / cykeluthyrning.

Denna stuga ligger på landet i Bakewell. Bakewell Golf Club och Goyt Valley kan vara värda att kolla in om du har aktiviteter på programmet, och den som har lust att shoppa kan besöka Buxton Baths och Chesterfield Market. Har du barn med dig på resan? Då kan det vara läge att besöka Bloomers Original Bakewell Puddings. Annars kan du gå på ett evenemang eller se en match på Hathersage Swimming Pool. We absolutely loved our stay at The Bobbin and just wish it were longer. The cottage is cosy and inviting, and it was our perfect home base to explore Derbyshire. Everything was clean, Simon was wonderfully communicative, and we loved the tip about going to the Ashford Arms for dinner. It was so good we went back the next night. We're already dreaming up an excuse to stay here again!

Cosy and comfortable

Only had 3 nights to enjoy the area, but provision of maps was very welcome and easy access for lovely countryside, especially biking on the Monsal Trail. Simon and Debs were most helpful with information and communication before our arrival and had easy control of the heating after unusual cold weather!

A quaint Little Cottage

Very central to the village of Ashford in the water. Local bus but not sure how often it is. Two Local pubs serving great food. Very clean and comfy beds. No problem parking in the street outside property. Overall a comfortable stay. VERY QUIET

We had a wonderful stay at this property. It was in a perfect spot for us to explore the peak district and Ashford is a beautiful and quiet village (we totally recommend Aisseford tearoom for breakfast and check out the Sheep bridge on the river). The cottage itself was beautifully presented with lots of charming features and had everything we needed for a short break. We are already thinking about dates for a return visit!

Lovely Peak District stay

We had a great time staying at the bobbin, which we found to be just as it was described and perfect for a weekend with friends. Ashford in the water is a lovely place, close to Bakewell and Chatsworth. There are lots of walks nearby and the pub round the corner does fantastic food. Owners were very friendly and helpful, would definitely like to return.

Cramped and Basic

We found The Bobbin to be cramped and rather dark inside with a disappointing outside concrete courtyard that is shared by other properties and that has a view of several dustbins. The kitchen is small with limited facilities. There is for example no microwave or dishwasher. Also, the fridge did not have a freezer section. We found it somewhat difficult preparing and cooking meals in such a compact space. The property is on three stories with the bathroom and toilet on the top floor. Getting to the top floor entails climbing treacherously steep stairs with narrow treads. On the plus side, there is a pub within walking distance. The second pub in the village is closed at present. We felt so constrained by the tightness of the space in The Bobbin that we spent one night at the nearby Riverside House Hotel in a room with an outside terrace. It felt wonderful to be able to sit outside with a view of grass and flowers. The restaurant there was exceptional.

Great place for a long weekend

Everything provided as described. The location was great with easy access to walks, made better by the supply of local OS Maps. It is also not too far to Bakewell. The ducks by the river were great entertainment for a 1 year old too.

A great cozy cottage in the peaceful village of Ashford. Ideal location for outdoor activities and only 5 minutes from Bakewell. The owners welcomed us at the property and all the details of the cottage were clearly explained.

Fantastic break

The Bobbin was a fantastic location for a great weekend away. Small and cosy, but with everything we needed. Communication was easy and we felt well looked after. The village is stunning! We enjoyed feeding the ducks, sampling the tea room's ice cream and drinking in the beer garden while our little girl played on the playpark. Very enjoyable and relaxing. Bakewell is 5 mins drive away and had plenty of takeaway/food/shopping options. We also enjoyed visiting Hassop Station and walking along the Monsal Trail - stunning views. We'd happily stay again.

Great cottage in a lovely location

We had a wonderful stay at The Bobbin and it was a perfect location for Chatsworth House and the Monsail trail. The cottage was clean and had all the amenities you would require and Simon was very friendly from start to finish. We ate at the Bulls Head a 3 minute walk from the cottage and the food was lovely. We will definitely be back! Thank You soo much

Absolutely wonderful!

Everything about our stay at The Bobbin was perfect! Debs was excellent with communication and Simon was there to greet us with the keys and to give us a quick tour of the cottage; he even carried our ridiculously heavy bags up the stairs for us! The Bobbin is cosy, very well maintained, and perfect for any type of stay. The location is excellent for walks around the village or for exploring the beauty of the Peak District. If you're looking for a quiet place with tons of charm and fantastic hosts this is the place for you! Are your dates available? What are you waiting for?
