HÀrlig avslappnad sjöstuga, hem för mÄnga solfregna somrar till kvinnan som nÀr en ung flicka inspirerade J. D. Salingers karaktÀr, Esme. Varje rum med utsikt och med 125 fot bad och bÄt pÄ samma nivÄ Àr utsikten spektakulÀr. Underbar sten och trÀ i hela. Högt i tak, mycket ljus. Stor veranda för middagar vid sjön och avkoppling lÀngs den privata grÀsstranden. Sover nio saliga sjÀlar. SÄ tyst och fridfullt hÀr inne mÄste detta vara vad paradiset Àr.

Skaneateles sjön Àr en behÄllare för staden Syracuse. Det anses vara det renaste av Finger Lakes. Det finns ett Finger Lakes Land Trust som ligger direkt bakom vÄr fastighet (leden Àr tillgÀnglig frÄn vÀg 41). Det finns flera parker och bevarar (Bear Swamp State Forest, High Vista-konserver etc.) som omger sjöns Ànde av sjön; Land Trust arbetar för att bevara denna naturliga miljö genom att ansluta dessa egenskaper till ett "smaragdhalsband" runt södra Ànden.

Byn Skaneateles, 25 minuter norrut, Àr ett vÀlkÀnt shopping-, restauranger- och turistmÄl. De hÄller en musikfestival och bÄtutstÀllning, har polokamper, kör turbÄtkryssningar och middagskryssningar och har gratis stadsbandskonserter. Staden har mÄnga mycket fina restauranger frÄn klassiska viktorianska nio- och tolvrÀtters mÄltider pÄ Krebs till Doug's Fish Fry, en lokal favorit. Det finns bÄtuthyrning pÄ Skaneateles Marina nÄgra miles söder om byn.

Location quiet and beautiful. There was a small insect problem that maybe no one was aware of. Everything you need is there indoors and outdoors. We have back problems and there might need to be some update to the bedding but that maybe just us,Will probably try again but this place looks booked up far into the future,’

Beautiful quiet stay

What a magical home! The pictures don’t do it justice! We’ve never had great service at a stay like we did at this one! They were so helpful and accommodating and it’s such a beautiful home! It is so cozy and welcoming. Would recommend to anyone looking in the area!

Beautiful location, charming house

We were up in the Homer area for my daughter's college graduation weekend and stayed at this property which sat directly on Skaneatlas Lake. The interior has a very curious decoration style that seemed to tell a story in each room, which I found very interesting. Communication with the host was great, as described, and you can't beat the location right on the lake!

The wonderful wedding weekend

Right on the Lake

I, my husband and our little corgi dog had a wonderful stay on Lake Skaneateles at this property. It's an elegant, older well designed and well equipped ranch with fantastic lake views, lots of books and cool folk art. The lot is flat with it's own private dock, lawn and little beach. It was very easy for my husband to launch our kayak from. It has plenty of parking too. The water was crystal clear/clean and the fishing was fantantic. The bed was comfy and we really enjoyed the spacious screened in porch. We hope to be able to stay again next year.

Amazing views!

Beautiful lakefront property that gives you fabulous views from morning until night. We only stayed the weekend and wish we had more time to explore but we were only half an hour away from many attractions and restaurants. Robert was a great host and responded timely. I would definitely recommend staying here to anyone.

Lovely and elegant lake house

What a gem. Beautiful views, very nice house, great location for upstate NY foliage gazing. We had a bonfire one night by the dock and saw shooting stars!

Amazingly Tranquil And Out Of The Way

The property and its location are quite amazing! The house will take you back in time and make you feel right at home. The views of the lake and the proximity to the water would be hard to duplicate. At the end of a somewhat private road we saw or heard very few cars and just a few people. Quiet, restful and welcoming, we hope to come back to this peaceful spot on Skaneateles Lake!

Family Time

We fished, we swam, we kayaked, we ate a ton of food. It was an awesome reunion after not seeing each other for so long. The sunsets were amazing! It’s not a fancy place but that’s not what we wanted.

Calming lake house retreat

This property is set right on the lake with a level yard leading up to the water. The house, furniture etc was VERY comfortable and clean. Really cool art all around the house but the lake and view from literally every room is the attraction here.

Fall foliage fans will love it!

Super quiet location with all the amenities. Loved the sprawling ranch vibe (those who cannot climb stairs will find it extremely easy to move about in). Our pups enjoyed the shale beach as did we. Husband enjoyed fishing off the dock and caught quite a few bass. If you value relaxation and solitude, this is the place.
