Caâ Del Monastero 8
Introducing the very special Caâ Del Monastero - a fine antique residence comprising 9 superbly restored apartments of varying size (including Caâ Del Monastero 8 - see its dedicated section below) situated in what was once the monastery connected to the ancient Church of San Zan DegolĂ (one of the oldest in Venice), moments from the Grand Canal in the district of Santa Croce.
Enjoying an atmosphere of calm serenity in what must surely be one of Veniceâs most evocative and unspoilt neighbourhoods - indeed a step back in time - the Caâ Del Monastero apartments offer spacious and beautifully presented accommodation for small and medium size parties or up to 38 guests if taken together.*
No expense has been spared in its recent remodellingâŠ
Carefully co-ordinated contemporary furnishings and soft neutral colours meld seamlessly against a traditional backdrop of polished red marble and/or traditional Venetian terrazzo flooring, while stylish high-spec fittings and attractive finishes, such as textured resin walls and luxurious feature wall coverings, give a fresh and fashionable twist to the buildingâs ancient framework.
Enhanced by a range of up-to-date facilities as demanded by todayâs savvy traveller (including air-conditioning***, Wi-Fi internet connection and communal utility facilities), the Caâ Del Monastero apartments are perfectly placed for communing with the true and heart and soul of the city and for visiting all that Venice has to offer while providing all the comforts of modern city living.

Neat, petite, convenient and sweet! â A brand new addition to the Caâ Del Monastero residence, offering 1 bedroom/1 bathroom plus a shared furnished courtyard**
Situated to the rear of the building with views over the âSalizadaâ to the pretty walled rear garden of Veniceâs Natural History Museum at the Fondaco Dei Turchi, the apartment sleeps 2 in comfort on the 2nd floor reached by stairs.
Accessed via an entrance on the Salizada below (note the plaque on the wall dedicated to Don Luigi Caburlotto who, in this house in 1850, founded the religious âInstitute of the Daughters of San Giuseppeâ), the apartment comprises a cosy main sitting room decorated in restful coffee colours leading to a well-equipped and fully-fitted kitchen/dining room, while at the opposite end of the apartment lies the well-proportioned bedroom with double bed and plenty of storage, and to its side, the apartmentâs modern bathroom with shower.
