This property is accurately described in the listing, and we found it to be very clean, and most everything was in good working order. Steven, the owner, was very responsive to any questions I had, and was great to work with.
Our family of four, plus and a cat and a dog had a great stay at this house in Mashpee. The neighborhood, Pirate's Cove, is very quiet, and mostly residents with very few "rentals", a very nice setting. A couple of the kids' friends joined us, and there was plenty of room for everyone. The window air conditioners came in handy as the humidity was brutal for a few days, even for the Cape. The beds are very comfortable, and the kitchen/dining area was roomy, and nicely situated. We enjoyed using the 4 kayaks out on Shoestring bay, going out to the Spit sandbar beach at the end of Popponesset bay one day. It's a fairly long walk to walk the kayaks to the town landing because they are awkward to work with, and there's a small but steep hill you have to go up and down. We used our mini-van to transport them the distance. The upstairs bedrooms and both 1st and 2nd floor bathrooms are spacious and comfortable. I rode my mountain bike on the trails in the nearby Mashpee River Woodlands, with beautiful views of the Mashpee River (watch out for ticks, though). You will see and hear Osprey every day on the bay and river, and even over the house at times. One morning a large Redtail hawk was having breakfast in the neighbors yard - don't get to see that every day! The location was convenient for getting out to Falmouth and Hyannis. It was extremely peaceful having coffee in the morning out by the Koi pond, and filling the bird feeder brought around a slew of tuft titmice, sparrows, chipmunks.
Bottom line: this property is well-maintained, very clean and comfortable, the owner Steve is very easy to work with and responsive, and we highly recommend staying here.
