Excellent stay!

We were a group of teachers attending a nearby conference, and are so glad we stayed here, instead of the recommended hotels. What a great, beautiful location!The place was perfect. The coffee was a nice touch and the beds/ bedding were very comfortable. The patio was lovely. Hosts were incredibly kind, always responsive to our questions.

A Little Bit of Liberty

Really enjoyed staying at this home for a three day/two night getaway. The patio was our favorite - beautiful landscaping with comfortable furniture. It was very relaxing. At no time did we find the steet noise or airplane takeoffs to be disruptive. The location is perfect for anyone wanting to be near the walking paths and unique offerings of Liberty Station. We would definitely book here again!

Rugby trip

We came to watch the All Blacks play Fiji at Snap Dragon Stadium. Flew from New Zealand to LAX then drove to the Spanish Villa directly. Location ideal as we just Ubered or walked to the various locations. We enjoyed the accomodation, particularly the outside courtyard, a lovely private oasis in the city. Thanks Bryan, hope to be back with my family sometime in the next year or so.

A well located and charming place to stay

My family and I chose this location for a recent event nearby based on the numerous positive reviews. I don't have much to add other than to say the reviews are all accurate - great location, host was very accommodating and even suggested a few great local restaurants. If a little noise is an issue, it is located by a busy street and close to the airport, otherwise perfect. We would stay here again in the future.

Beautiful home and wonderful hosts

We had a great 3-day stay. It's a beautiful home, and Bryan and Annie are wonderful hosts. They welcomed us and our dog. Bryan gave us a tour of the house and spacious patio along with details on how everything worked. He stayed in touch with us via text when we had questions. We enjoyed several take-out meals in the lovely dining room. The mini kitchen area was stocked with coffee, tea, water, soft drinks. The fridge is a good size and Bryan provided ice cubes in the freezer. Microwave made it convenient to reheat food. There are a few plates and plastic cutlery in the kitchen. If you have a lot of food to serve, you may want to get some extras with your takeout order. The house is close to San Diego airport, so it's an easy drive if you're flying in. Bryan was very considerate to provide ear plugs to help with the noise from planes flying over. There are endless choices of things to do and great restaurants. We went to Fiesta Island dog park, Ocean Beach, Coronado Island, and had a delicious dinner at Puesto. This home is a wonderful place to stay while exploring San Diego!

Everything We Hoped For

Really, everything we hoped for and more! The house was spotlessly clean and thoughtfully equipped. The dining room has everything you need for eating light meals and take out. Also wine glasses and wine opener supplied! The frig was stocked with water bottles and ice in the freezer. Also water and facial tissues bed side was a nice touch. I can't decide if the outdoor patio or the Bryan (the Host) was the crowning jewel. Both were outstanding. The photos are on point of what the property has to offer. Looking forward to a return visit.

Great Local Stay

The wife and I were having work done at the house and stayed here for a few nights.. Bryan was super helpful and the house is really lovely. Accommodating side area for pets to use restroom, etc. Easy stay.

This was the perfect place to stay for our group, the owners did a wonderful job decorating and making the home a welcome place you want to stay at. The patio was beautifully put together and the whole group enjoyed relaxing in the mornings and evenings out there.

You will not find a better host than this one. Extremely accommodating, friendly and really truly wants you to have a stress free time at this property. The pictures do this house no justice. Very warm and inviting, decorated cozy and well. Description is accurate. Had a lovely time here.

Great Thanksgiving Vacation

My family and I rented out The Big Pink for Thanksgiving week. Our hosts were gracious and welcoming and always checked in to see that we were having a good time or needed anything. We were made aware that there was no kitchen, which was fine as we ate out most of the time on vacation. The location is central to so much of what we like to do while in San Diego, and Liberty Station is literally just across the street. Bryan went out of his way to help when we needed a few items, and we would definitely consider staying at the property again. Tastefully decorated and private. We never felt as if we were in someone else’s home. The home gave us a place to chill with our family all together during this time. Our hosts and their kindness are much appreciated.

Wonderfully Relaxing Getaway

The owner was so helpful. We were met upon arrival, received a tour of the space, and provided with an explanation of the various features. The beautiful home has so much charm. It was great to soak it all in. The only reason I didn't give a 5 star rating was because the parking left somethingto be desired. There is space for 2 cars directly in front along the curb (no driveway), however you're at the mercy of others that may also be visiting neighbors. That was the case with us. Another car took up one of the spaces the entire weekend. If your group needs more than one parking space it could be tricky.
