Träden i området gör detta till en vacker destination, och det är helt fantastisk i höst. Välj mellan roddbåt, paddlebåt eller kajaker att flyta genom sjön och sätta ihop en s'mores fest på bålgropen.

Ta in den fantastiska sjön med ditt kaffe på morgonen på baksidan däck. Högt i tak och stora fönster lägga mer karaktär till det stora rummet, med gott om dagsljus under dagen. Den stora rum har:

Den rymliga tre sovrum, innehåller 1. 5 BA stuga ett fullt utrustat kök och nya apparater. Det stora sovrummet är på övervåningen, inredda med en drottning säng. ½ bad och badrum är både övervåningen.

Nedervåningen, kan barnen leka i fortet-liknande bunkroom, och utmana varandra till en snabb omgång fotboll. Ett sovrum har en dubbelsäng och den andra har en våningssäng. Innehåller också:

Vandra rätt ut den lägre nivån och ner till den kristallklara sjön. Vattennivån börjar grunt, så det är perfekt djup för små att plaska runt i. Bosätta sig i på uteplatsen och sätta upp medan du väntar på din hamburgare för att avsluta matlagning på grillen fötterna.

We had a great time but were upset with the water pressure.We could hardly take showers or wash dishes(we never used the dishwasher). It would also be nice to have a safety bar for getting in and out of the shower.I have arthritis,fibromyalgia and balance issues and was afraid of falling so I never took a shower.

Enjoyed every moment

We had such a great time with our family during our vacation week. The location, the property, the amenities were all so much better than we even thought they would be. The lake was perfect for every age. We didn't realize how many things were available for use at this rental, we way overpacked. I don't have anything but great things to say about this rental. Our visit

It was fine.We left a bunch of sand toys that I hope future little guests can use. Also,I lost my watch somewhere on the property,I have no idea where,so if someone finds it can you please let us know? It’s an inexpensive Timex or Acutron but I’ve had it for a long time so I’m disappointed about losing it.Thanks.

Good time with family/friends

We enjoyed our stay overall. The property was just as listed, close to neighbors but they were friendly. As others have stated, the owner does have more house rules than prior houses we have stayed at. The house was clean for the most part, but we were surprised to find sand/dirt underneath rugs given the rules about cleanliness. There were a couple of broken items upon our entry, but the owner was responsive and said they would be taken care of. We enjoyed the row/paddle boats, fishing off the dock, and parks and sand dunes nearby to visit.

Beautiful lake

Very comfortable place for our girls weekend with 4 of us, open kitchen/bar seating and looking over the living room & out to the lake. Everything was as expected, hot tub was a great bonus as our weekend was a little cooler than expected and we didn't indulge in the lake too much! One bedroom and 1.5 baths upstairs, other bed options are on lower level with walkout basement.

Rules and watched

Cottage was nice, beachfront was nice. Had children and grand children over for approximately 5 hours on Sunday. We were outside until the rain started. Received a nasty email stating I had too many people over and VRBO would be canceling the contract. Only 3 people spent the night. Never heard from VRBO but that put a bad taste in my mouth. Nonetheless, there are rules for fires, quiet time, hot tub, grill. There’s only 1 propane tank so if it runs out you have to have it refilled ( she will reimburse you after you get her the receipt) seems like a second tank is not too much to ask! Nice place though

Nice week

Overall, we had a good experience. Kayaks are showing some age. When packing up to leave was looking for a lost item, and found someone else's left behind clothes behind the fireplace. Maybe could be cleaned a little better. Also could use some extra kitchen towels.

House is nice

The house was nice to stay at. Location was in a nice area. We enjoyed our stay but did notice it was dirty under the couches which only mattered to us because of our baby and kids toys getting very dirty. Disappointed that we were charged for damage we did not cause. The owner messaged and asked us what happened to a kitchen chair. We noticed but did not report this damage because we did not think anything of it. After sending us text messages proving to us that the people who stayed before us damaged the house we were very frustrated to be blamed. I would recommend noting and reporting any damage when you first to arrive to protect yourself.

Awesome getaway!!

This property was even better than imagined. So clean and basically everything you need on property plus extras! Beachfront area was perfect for kids and plenty of activities available at the house and locally. Highly recommend!!!

Nice week long vacation

The house was very well equipped. Internet was good. Beds were very comfortable. The lake was great for swimming and fishing. The kids and I caught several bluegill, sunfish, perch and bass. The lake toys were used often. The only suggestion I have is having a 1/2 bath in the basement. Long walk upstairs if you have to go at night. Overall, it was a very nice stay that I would recommend to anyone.

What a great location on a quiet, beautiful lake. My family and I really enjoyed our stay. We were unable to do any of the water activities due to weather, but next time! Beds we comfortable and clean.

Compact cottage on Twin Lake has all the necessities

My husband & I enjoyed a long weekend at the cottage in early September. While not large, the bed and couches we all very comfortable , the kitchen had everything needed and the view was beautiful. Being close to both Lake Michigan and Lake Muskegon expands opportunities to explore. My only negative observation is that there was a very long list of “house rules,” - much longer than the many other places we have stayed.

Enjoyed our stay. Quality of everything inside (beds, sheets, appliances) all very nice and clean. Had a lovely stay with no issues! We even forgot something and was able to coordinate with the owner and the cleaning crew to get our lost belongings back - very nice people!

Great Family Vacation!

Our family travels to Muskegon every summer and this by far the best inland lake we have stayed on. The water was clear, warm, and there was a shallow entrance and sand for my small children to play on. It is a perfect spot for small children-there is a park near by and ice cream shop. Overall, the cottage was perfect and had everything we could have asked for. It was clean and we'll organized when we arrived. My only hesitation, was the rule book we received prior to attending and the personal notes with warnings of potential financial reprimands if my children broke things. It was by far the most detailed/extensive contract we have ever received when renting a cottage.

100% delightful

Fantastic size for 6-8 people, especially if some are kids. We had an amazing family vacation here...the lake view from the deck every morning and the lake access were so lovely. Our kids rarely left the water. The house was nice and well-stocked. Lots to do in the general area. Would love to come back.

RELAX at the LAKE! Second time here, and will come back again

This was our second stay at this property. We loved it just as much as before. The house is sparkling clean and well-equipped. Beds are comfortable. The kitchen bar is great for eating or working puzzles. We used the grill almost daily. The deck is great for sitting any time of day with trees that shade it most times. More seating on patio and at beach...take your pick! Bonfire pit is fun, we of course had s'mores. The beach area is sandy and clean (no weeds quite far out) and the lake is clear. It is very kid/family friendly. Bring inflatable floats! The area is quiet and relaxing. Kayaking at this lake is great for beginners or those up for a longer paddle. We went around the island most days. Saw the eagle and ducks daily. We barely left the lake as the weather was perfect. We just went out for ice cream several times, and breakfast at Overboard Inn.

House was nice and clean, well-stocked kitchen, comfortable beds and linens. Bring extra toilet paper with you though. The weather was great and we really enjoyed the lake. I would include in your property description ALL of the rules you have, because they're pretty lengthy. I would also question if you really want a sandy beach area if you're going to insist they're be absolutely no sand in the house. Overall, we had a good time and our kids loved being right on the lake.

We’re hard workers, and we love Michigan, so we immediately started looking for a new opportunity. Usually, some unexpected event is what makes you realize what’s most important to you. For us, it was spending time with our family, relaxing on our pontoon boat, taking in a crisp view of the night sky.

We knew that in Michigan, we could always find a new start. So, we used the money from our retirement and created Sandy Shores of Twin Lake, LLC. We purchased the cottage in 2005, and the house in 2007.

We understand the importance of family, a calm, relaxing vacation, and how a cozy atmosphere helps bring people together. Our properties aren’t just rentals. This place is home! My family takes an annual 10-day vacation together here ourselves. We adopted four special needs children and we experience our house and cottage with them, our parents, and our close friends.

Each year, we see these children grow as they make little sandcastles and chase fireflies in the yard. Our story started with some hardship and continues with great joy. A house and a cottage later, we’re still planning our vacations and deciding who brings the marshmallows and the graham crackers for s’mores around the bonfire.

In 2025 we celebrated our 20th anniversary as Sandy Shores of Twin Lake. It’s such a gift to see our guests making memories with their family and friends here, just like we have. We’d be happy for you to see why our family cherishes Western Michigan so much!
