Perfect beach house

We had a wonderful stay at this beach house! The property was exactly as described, and just steps from a quiet, peaceful beach. Everything was so convenient, from check-in to beach access. If you're looking for a relaxing and hassle-free beach escape, this is the place. We would definitely stay here again!

Fantastic location!

So lovely to have such easy access to such a great beach and with chairs and an umbrella to use, too! Easy check in and check out, and good host communication. Well-stocked kitchen!

This is an excellent property and exactly what we wanted. The location is the best feature. Right on the sand. It is a well-maintained unit where everything works and just blocks from good restaurants. We spent everyday reading and swimming on the beach with the option of stepping inside for lunch and breaks.

What a view!

Check in was quick and easy and the bungalow was spotless. This is old Florida at it's best and I would definitely recommend it for a fun, relaxing, and quiet vacation.

Beautiful View

This was a beautiful place to stay. Nightly sunsets were gorgeous from the porch. The traffic noise wasn't an issue because the house is set back from the street. Easy to walk to stores and restaurants and there were rental places for bikes and kayaks close by. I would definitely stay here again.

Indian Shores is Beautiful

We had an amazing stay in Indian Shores. Everything was perfect and we loved every second. The location is truly breathtaking and we made so many wonderful family memories. :) We will definitely be back! We worked with Bruce and his staff to book our trip. Everyone we worked with went out of their way to make this trip special. The communication was phenomenal and Bruce truly made things perfect for us! :)

Lack of Luxury

Needs updating. The entire unit needs updated. The floors are the only thing new and they slanted in many spots. Bathroom is tiny and has a tiny toilet to go with it. The shower was good and the water pressure was awesome. There were rails on the top of the tub from when it used to have glass. Kitchen has way too many pans that are just thrown in the cabinets and needs everything changed. The stove and dishwasher were okay but the refrigerator had duct tape holding the shelves up. One of the light switches has duct tape to keep it turned off. The master bedroom is tiny and the bed takes up the entire room. The matress was horrible and something is wrong with the light. It turns on for a few seconds and shuts off. The best thing about the place was the beach facing deck. We spent most of our time here. It also needs some work. The boards were splintering so don't walk around with no shoes on or you'll end up with splinters.

We rented this house as a wedding gift for my son & his new bride. Upon arrival all seemed fine. The house looks as advertised and the beachfront location is great. However the master bedroom had a very strong smell of vomit. We immediately contacted the manager and he did call back promptly. It was concluded that the awful smell was coming from the mattress. You would think that they would immediately replace the mattress but this was not the case. They only replaced the bedding. This solved nothing! The newlyweds had to spend the entire week sleeping in the secondary bedroom...much smaller room and bed. Not very comfortable, especially for your honeymoon. For the cost to rent this place for a week, I could have bought two nice pillowtop mattresses. They did offer to refund 1 nights stay (which is the least they could do). I have reached out to them about this but so far have not gotten a response. We'll see if they honor their promise. So unless you enjoy the putrid smell of vomit, then buyer beware!

The views from the deck are absolutely amazing and one of a kind! The other great thing about the property is the fact that there is not a lot of people on the beach, it is like your own private spot. Very clean and just what we needed to recharge and recalibrate the vibes.

Overall we were somewhat disappointed. First, not having a washer and dryer is hard with children, and definitely shouldn't have to pay extra when you are paying the price to stay already. Read the fine print in the details specifying coin operated laundry off site. The house has obviously been updated but has some uneven spots in the floor, the glass on the living room table was broken when we arrived and a window in the kitchen was cracked. Our biggest issue, however, was the bathroom. Located in the living room/kitchen area it is not very private. The door is a farm house style, sliding door with no lock and large cracks on each side. There are no blinds on the doors facing the beach, allowing anyone to see inside, especially at night. No closets in the bedrooms. Rooms small. First 2 days we had no internet or television, until the cable company came out to fix Monday morning. The views were amazing. Being right on the beach was great, super convenient. Disliked that there is a boardwalk directly beside the property as this made it more public than private as we imagined. Kitchen was well equipped. Amenities provided.Don't get me wrong. We had a wonderful time. Although, driving 12-13 hours and spending thousands of dollars you set certain expectations that aren't always met.

Being right on the beach was a highlight. Bathroom and kitchen were clean, some of the furniture (inside and out) could have been cleaner. Mattresses were comfortable and overall we had a relaxing visit and enjoyed our stay!

Great Beach House

This place was one to remember! The beach is literally a couple steps away from front door. If you’re looking for a beach getaway this is the place. Thanks for everything, we had a blast! Only criticism is we only wish we could have stayed longer.

Right on the beach!! Already planning to come back

Great place. Truly right on the beach. The sound of surf and the smell of the ocean are all around. Big kitchen and good-sized living area, bedrooms are small but have room for suitcases. Note that what you gain in location you sacrifice in privacy as there are people outside your front porch all day (blinds on the front windows would go a long way to mitigate this situation). Would have appreciated more towels. Lots of good dining options nearby, and we walked most places.

Here is just a quick overview of my career along with a few of CVR’s strengths in the Vacation rental industry. .

I have been involved in the hospitality field most of my life. After graduating from Boston University back in 1986 I got my start working as a night auditor in a small hotel just outside of Boston. I soon became fascinated with this industry and wanted to know everything about it. I enjoyed finding ways to improve the overall experience for the guests and in doing so was promoted often. I learned all aspects of each department and through the years I was the General Manager of some well-known hotels. .

During my corporate career as a General Manager of a Hyatt Hotel in Tampa I had an opportunity to manage a small beach vacation rental along the shores of the Gulf. Simply put
I was hooked. This became my new passion and career.

My wife and I had stayed in vacation rentals in the past with mixed feelings about our stays, I knew there was room for improvement in the Vacation Rental business and I was excited to get started.

I feel our success at Carter Coastal Vacation Rentals is from having a variety of vacation property options that suites each guests needs and budget. We also have chosen to keep CVR business relatively small in order to maintain a personable connection with each of our new arrivals. I, along with my team understand the importance of anticipating the guest’s needs as well as treating each guest with complete respect during their vacation getaway.
