Mountain Masterpiece!

This is a truly exceptional mountain retreat. It is set in a sparsely settled valley with superb mountain views in all directions from inside the chalet. The owners have clearly devoted a great deal of care and attention to the interior which is extraordinary. If you are looking for an amazing place to stay in the mountains, this is it!

Mountain paradise

The chalet was perfect! It is a beautiful home, very well appointed, in a gorgeous mountain setting. We enjoyed relaxing on the deck, playing horse shoes, and fishing in the Crystal River just a short walk from the home. We built a fire in the fire pit each night and breathed in the mountain air under the stars. Hope to be going back again and again. Also, if you get a chance do not miss renting a UTV in Marble and driving to the Crystal River Mill!

Our third trip back here!

This was the third time in the last few years that we’ve stayed at this amazing mountain chalet near the little town of Marble. It’s a wonderful place to rest and relax and enjoy all that this valley has to offer. We’ve seen elk in the west meadow in the past and this year a red fox trotted by the south side of the house every morning around 7am! My husband caught and released a dozen rainbows and brookies and brown trout out of the Crystal River, a short walk down the road from this house. If you love to fly fish this is the place for you. The home is well appointed with everything you might need if you want to bring in food to cook on the grill like we did. This is definitely our go to place when we want to relax and refresh ourselves. Don’t pass up this beautiful mountain chalet! It’s truly a blessing to stay here!

Comfortable home with fantastic views!

This is a comfortable, well appointed home that is well cared for by its owners. The views from this property are amazing. We could’ve stayed at the home all day just to admire the scenery. But we enjoyed visiting the surrounding areas of Aspen and Crested Butte as well. Would love to return some day.

Highly Recommended

This property was very comfortable and conveniently located. The house has many interesting knickknacks. Drinking coffee on the back deck and watching the sunrise was special. We will stay here again.

Wonderful!

As others have mentioned, the views are breathtaking in every direction! Although there are a couple of houses adjacent to this property, it still felt quite secluded. The house and property were very clean and obviously well maintained. It is close enough to the river to enjoy the sounds, even if you technically cannot access It directly from the house without going through other’s property. The kitchen is very well equipped, exceeding my expectations. The furnishings were all very nice. But, if you want to sleep past sunrise, bring some eye shades - window coverings are sparse (no doubt to enjoy all the views). The deck was very comfortable and it was great being able to enjoy a fire in the fire pit a couple of nights. Oh, and the stars were amazing. I would definitely stay again!

CO at its best + dog friendly!

The property was immaculate upon arrival. Extra ++ during this COVID craziness. Check in was a breeze and directions were easy to follow. Lezlie was very communicative and easy to reach. We enjoyed all her hiking and sight seeing suggestions. I’m already scheming for how/when we can return.

Summer trip to Marble, CO

This was an amazing house in the most beautiful location. The peace and the views made us wish we had stayed longer - it was a perfect compliment to a stay in-town elsewhere in CO. The owners were very helpful and responsive. One little issue we had was that the bedrooms don’t have any blinds which was tricky with young children who are used to being put to bed in a dark room but for older kids wouldn’t be an issue. The views are amazing!

Spectacular house and location

A tasteful, spacious, very private home in a spectacular setting. The house is thoughtfully appointed, with everything you need, from clean, fluffy towels to condiments and aluminum foil (these little things matter in a vacation rental). It feels like staying in a friend's house versus a generic rental. The views here are BEYOND and there are plenty of outdoor seating options from which to enjoy it all. Owner incredibly responsive. Highly recommended.

Gorgeous views, nicely appointed, adorable home.

Check in was so easy. And the view. Fall in Colorado is not to be missed in this valley, and we ate, drank, and slept among spectacular fall colors, in this adorable, perfectly stocked 2 story “cabin” in the valley. We hiked, drove the pass, visited what truly is the best BBQ we’ve had, in the tiny town of Marble. The setting was perfect, and the neighbor dogs visited every day. We saw deer. We drove to the quarry, we visited Redstone and Kebler Pass. Great DVD selection for evenings. Prepare for spotty internet service at times, we could usually text using iMessage to loved ones but you shouldn’t try to stream anything. Very nice kitchen, gas BBQ Grill is nice, and great little fire pit area for evenings. We’ll be back!

Peaceful, beautiful property

Absolutely loved the house and location. This was our first time up to this part of Colorado and every view from the property and the hiking trails are breathtaking. My wife and I are all ready planning a return trip. Lezlie was more than accommodating and we felt right at home. Thank you!!

Perfect for a quiet and beautiful mountain getaway!

We were thrilled to have found this property. If solitude and quiet mountain beauty are what you are looking for, this is the perfect home. The setting is even more beautiful then the pictures show. The home is lovely, with a great and well stocked kitchen. The Windows throughout the home offer fantastic views at every turn. I took several hikes in the area every day. We enjoyed exploring the towns of Marble and Redstone- very quaint, fun places. We picked the perfect week to visit as we watched the Aspens change almost before our eyes.

Family vacation

Absolutely fabulous property! We have stayed at countless homeaway properties and this by far was the best. The owners had more than enough supplies and amenities for us. Beautiful scenery and the sounds of the river was mesmerizing.

Magnificent setting and the home was designed to take full advantage of the views!!

Could not find a more lovely high mountain property!! We did not want to leave. It was quiet and peaceful. Incredible views. Well-stocked with the staple pantry supplies and firewood, great deck and grill outside plus a fire-pit. Mountains, river, meadows, flowers, the Milky Way at night, fireside time with family, great table games provided, intense hiking. Recommend bringing your own groceries or get them in Carbondale on way in as owner suggested. Waking up in the master bedroom with two walls of windows and incredible mountain views was absolutely magical! It was so peaceful and beautiful. Just what we were looking for and more than what we could have imagined. We were greeted by humming birds at the feeder on the front porch!! Loved the experience here. Highly recommend this home!!!

Amazing

We came here for our honeymoon. We were excited when we found this place on here but when we got here the pics did no justice. This place is amazing! The views are awesome the cabin it’s beautiful, the location is perfect. The waterfall hike, town, ponds, rivers are just awesome. The drive to nearby towns was just right. We loved this place.

Absolutely gorgeous setting in a well appointed home

We had the best time in Marble. lezlie is a fantastic host who ensured we had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The neighborhood is quiet and the people are wonderful. Did I mention how their home is perfectly set up for star gazing?? Absolutely incredible. We will be back!

Fantastic mountain getaway!

We loved this spot. Secluded but not isolated. Amazing scenic views. Loved our morning walks to the Crystal River. Found great rock for sitting and meditating by the river. Well stocked home! We will rent it on future Colorado trips! Comfy beds! Priority for us!
