Ursprungligen har två landsbygdshus Cortijo Los Pelaes byggts om med sympatik till de högsta specifikationerna med en blandning av gamla och nya Andalusia-stilar. Med 378 kvm / m internt utrymme och 4 privata terrasser erbjuder det lyxigt semesterbostad för 2 familjer i full komfort.
Huset är möblerat och utrustat enligt högsta standard och ger en riktig "home away from home" -upplevelse, en 9m privat pool med fantastiska berg som bakgrund och en expansiv asfalterad poolomgivning och terrass i trädgården. Cortijo närmar sig en kort bana som ser minimal trafik än enstaka bonde på sin traktor. Olivlundar och berg utgör landskapet med byn Rosario på avstånd. Rosario har alla nödvändiga bekvämligheter inklusive bensin, bank, stormarknader, slaktare, bagare, tapasbarer och restauranger.
Vi är en av de få fastigheterna i området som officiellt certifierats av Ministeriet för turism 2016 som ett "hus på landsbygden" av högsta standard.

Kuststrand: Vi är 30 minuter norr om Malaga och de livliga turistmålen på Costa de Del Sol. Vattenparker, stränder, dykning, internationella butiker och nattliv finns i överflöd.

Skidåkning: Endast 1 timmes bilresa och du når skidvärldens bäst bevarade hemlighet - Sierra Nevada. Som Europas sydligaste skidort med omfattande snötillverkningsmaskiner kan du njuta av soltäckt skidåkning med utsikt över Atlasbergen i Afrika. Säsongen går igenom till början av april och skidskolor i Sierra Nevada talar engelska och är mycket vänliga. Ägarna kan rekommendera lämpliga anläggningar.

Utomhusaktiviteter: Den lokala landsbygden ger resenären stora möjligheter att upptäcka Spaniens djurliv, fågelliv och fauna. Landskapet är perfekt för promenader, cykling, fiske och ridning.
På sommaren kan du klättra på det näst högsta berget i Spanien; El Veleta @ 3335m i Sierra Nevada-sortimentet.
Flamingos och storkar föder upp i de omgivande sjöarna. Örfiske och kaviar finns i närliggande Riofrio eller så kan du helt enkelt klättra i bergen framför fastigheten eller bara vandra i de oändliga olivlundarna.

Amazing holiday in a beautiful villa!

We stayed in this villa in August and had the most amazing time. The host could not have been more accommodating. The house is equipped with everything you could hope for. The views across the mountains are gorgeous and the garden and pool area are just perfect. Thank you for letting us enjoy this beautiful villa!

Superschöne Villa

Die Villa ist wirklich superschön und wir haben uns vom ersten Augenblick wohl gefühlt und konnten den Urlaub mit 11 Personen genießen. Das Haus ist sehr geräumig, sehr gepflegt und es fehlt absolut an nichts. Die Außenanlagen sind sehr schön und der Pool groß genug, um eine paar Runden zu schwimmen. Mit der direkten Anbindung (3 Minuten) an die Autobahn ist man auch schnell am Meer. Also: Eine absolute Empfehlung von uns.

Great villa!

Great villa, convenient location, very close to motorway, easy access. The villa, its garden and multiple terraces and outdoor spaces are well suited to large families (we were 2 families with teenagers and with the grandparents), everyone found their space. The kitchen is well organised and equipped, lots of fridge and cooking space, including the outdoor kitchen. Rob and Patsy were responsive in case of need (we run out of gaz) and the groceries shopping before arrival was well appreciated. 4/5 stars for the accuracy of online listing as the bedrooms arrangement wasn't quite as listed (although we figured out it would be fine for us from the pictures and pre-booking contact with Alyson). It was very hot during our stay, the air con worked well in the rooms ( less so in the mezzanine, as highlighted pre-booking), the pool was appreciated, and there was enough shade outside for all. We had a truly enjoyable week. Thank you

Large family villa in a great location

Lovely well kept pool and garden. Large gas barbeque with fridge, sink and work area as well as a big dining table with built in benches to enjoy al fresco dining. A nice quiet location with great view of the mountain and the local village below. The villa iteslf is big enough that there is always a quiet area to retreat to if you need some 'me time'. The kitchen is fully equiped with oven, range, microwave, fridge etc. and all the utensils, pots and pans, crockery and cutlery you could possibly need. The lounge area is full of games both electronic and physical, as well as a large tv. The table tennis table was a hit with everyone giving hours of fun for all. Both Rob and Patzianne were always available to give advice whenever needed. Overall we had a great holiday at Los Pelaes and would certainly consider returning again.

ESPECTACULAR

Hemos estado una semana con toda la familia. (12 personas) La casa es muy espaciosa, cómoda y limpia. La atención de los dueños ha sido buenísima. Muy atentos para que estemos comodísimos. (Muchas gracias por el vino y el queso). La zona y vistas preciosas. El pueblo muy acogedor y la gente de la zona muy amable. La gastronomía de la zona buenísima y económica. Para las próximas vacaciones en familia sin duda será una de las propuestas para poner en la mesa.

Maison magnifique, piscine, commodités de la maison : parfait. Seul bémol : petit village avec très peu de commodités. Pas de livraisons à domicile de pizzas par exemple.... Le 1e supermarché est à 25 mn.

I would go back tomorrow

This is a great location to explore Andalucia. A perfect setting for explorations during the day then returning to a comfortable relaxing location. We ranged from 10 to 73 and found plenty of quiet space if needed or locations where we could all gather around for fun and conversation. Our stay the third week in June was perfect. The weather was spectacular as were the views. We kept the windows open and no air conditioning was needed. The pool was a refresher after touring in the hot sun. We sampled the multiple outside eating areas and seemed to eat later and later each eveing. The town of Rosario was fun to browse through and the kids liked shopping at the Tuesday market. We found this a perfect base for travels to Secilla, Cordoba, Granada and Rhonda. Would not hesitate to return.

Fantastic Christmas and New Year whole family holiday.

We stayed as a whole family over Christmas and New Year, 10 people in total, 3 couples and 4 teenage grandchildren. The wall heater units coped well with the log burner adding heat most evenings. Everybody was comfortable with the house warming up more as the days passed. We had great weather, frosty nights with clear blue sky sunny days. The pool table was brilliant and the weather was warm enough for the table tennis table to be used outside. The sun loungers were even used one day! The many seating options outside meant we could always sit in the sun somewhere. The kitchen worked well as did the cooker, we managed a large roast dinner for everybody on Christmas day. Drying clothes was obviously more difficult in winter, however we sorted that problem with two extra temporary washing lines in the sun. All in all a very lovely house in a beautiful location even at Christmas very comfortable.

Very comfortable home with stunning views of rural Andalucia

We enjoyed a very happy 3 week stay at this lovely property. It was so relaxing and had all amenities. We also enjoyed visits to Cordoba and Granada, Malaga and Antequera and the surrounding coastal spots. Our vacation was in August and so HOT, but I can honestly say that the house never felt hot and we enjoyed the pool whilst benefitting from the terrace which was always cool. This was so important for us with a tiny baby grand daughter as part of our holiday group. A car is a necessity in this part of Andalucia if you want to get out and about. The owners provided us with a lot of information about local places to visit and local supermarkets and restaurants. All in all, I don't know where the time went? We had a lot of fun as a family group in a lovely home which accommodated us all. A holiday we will always remember!

A very quiet relaxing holiday in a beautiful spacious house

We have recently returned from a lovely holiday staying in this beautiful house. We comfortably slept 3 families including 6 adults and 6 children aged between 11 and 14. The house was incredibly clean and has everything you need, including towels for both showering and use around the pool. There was plenty of fridge and freezer space and the kitchen had everything we needed. The outdoor eating area and bbq were well used throughout the holiday. The air con worked well and was very much appreciated in the very warm temperatures. The owners of the house were incredibly helpful throughout the whole booking process and responded very quickly to emails, answering many questions that we asked! Whilst on holiday, Patsy was also very helpful with key information. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Large and nice villa in the countryside north of Malaga, Spain

We spent 10 days of a wonderful vacation in this large villa in September-October 2017. We were four adults and two children. The villa can take another couple. We used only the top floor three bedrooms and bathrooms. The pool, barbecue, pool table, computer games, kitchen, washing machine were used and made our vacation very enjoyable. We only suffered from an ants problem in the kitchen. The location of the villa made it easy for visiting Seville, Ronda, Antequera, Malaga, Cordoba, Granada and Marbella, each in about an hour drive.

Peace and tranquility with great facilities

This villa is very well maintained. It is clean and comfortable with everything you may need for a relaxing break. There is a large well equipped kitchen and plenty of fridge space. The pool is well maintained and does not contain a lot of chemicals. There is a wide variety of games and a pool table. The internet connection was excellent. The satellite tv was not available during our stay. The beds were comfortable and the air conditioning worked well. There are a few different seating areas outside and plenty of loungers round the pool. The water went off at one point for a few hours but this wasn't that inconvenient. You will definitely need a car, it is a 20-25 minute walk into the village although this is quite strenuous for older people. There are a number of bars and restaurants but most places don't serve food until 8-30/9. We also drove into Trebuco a few times which has a bigger selection of places to eat and is only a five minute drive. We also drove to Antequera a few times and went to the supermarket there and ate at the bull ring and a couple of other very good places. The villa is well placed to visit Granada, Seville and we visited Cordoba which was about 1h 20 minutes away and well worth it. We also visited the flamingoes but there was not much water and they were quite a way away. We were well looked after at the villa and I would definitely recommend it if you want peace and quiet.

Lovely home, well equipped in a peaceful location.

We stayed as a family group with two toddlers. Alyson couldn't be more helpful in making sure we were well accommodated, from cots being up and highchairs out, to helping sort out plans for a special birthday while we were there. The house, pool and garden are lovely, offering spacious and comfortable accomodation throughout. The local area was delightful. Just a short drive to a couple of different towns, brimming with choice for fab restaurants. We wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

Excellent villa, excellent location

We couldn't have asked for a more perfect place for our holiday. We were a group of 6 adults and 4 young children and we all enjoyed our stay. The house is very well equipped and the location was fantastic.

Nice property. Well maintained. Great views.

A well maintained property. Very clean. We were a party of 8 and had plenty of room. Had a little trouble with washing machine since there are no directions in English. You will have to drive if you want to visit the major cities of Andalusia. Granada is an hour away. Sevilla is a little over 2 hours and Córdoba an hour and a half. That said the roads are good and the property is close to main highway but far enough away for peace and quiet. Owner had a lot of good information about the area. Caretaker met us at the house with the keys. Would recommend this property to a friend.

Stunning house in a breathtaking location

This house is simply amazing; Alyson and Ian are wonderful hosts, and the whole house has been decorated and equipped to a very high standard, making it easy to feel at home and relax here. Added to this is the superb location, which is near the picturesque village of Villanueva Del Rosario and in the shadow of some spectacular mountains. The house is also ideally located for day trips to Granada, Seville, Cordoba, Malaga and other sights of interest along the coast and in Andalucia. I can't recommend this house highly enough!

A Fantastic stay in a Beautiful villa!

I really enjoyed my stay in Los Pelaes. The house is beautiful, it looks and feels completely authentic to its surroundings. It was easy to reach by car and was very well equipped. There are plenty of good spots to watch the sun set over a G&T! I went to a couple of the surrounding villages, it was easy to find what I needed in the local shops, and even got to meet some of the locals in the bar. Day excursions to Granada, Cordoba and the beach are also easy journeys to make from here. Thank you for a wonderful stay - I would come back again!

Beautiful mansion home for lush vacation away

Brilliant mansion with pool and huge dinner tables and cosy sofas to snuggle up on. Something for everyone with fantastic mountain views! Travelled to lots of cities from here on day exscursions to Nerja, Granada, Seville and Cordoba. Highly recommended to family and friends alike. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Lives up to billing

We were a party of 7 adults. The generous size of the living areas and stairs makes the villa feel enormous – you wouldn’t know anyone else was in the house when you’re tucked away in your room. All the different outdoor spaces were excellent for peace and quiet. Directions to the villa from Malaga airport were accurate & easy to follow. The best restaurant we found was Los Cabales in Villanueva del Trabuco. In Antequera, we had an excellent meal at Arte de Cozina. The local village is a fair step, and you might not want to walk back after a meal. Take a torch if you plan to. The pool was bracing but a lovely extra and much used by all of us. The kitchen is well equipped, with basics provided. Brilliant location for visiting Granada, Cordoba, Seville, the Torcal at Antequera, the Caminito del Rey, Ronda, Sierra Nevada and Malaga.

A really great villa

This villa is large and beautiful. 5 bedrooms, pool, table tennis, pool table, wifi, garage. Really good. There is a downstairs bedroom in case needed and air con throughout. The local town is OK but worth driving 20 minutes further afield. Some really great sites and sights. Only downside is a couple of windy days with wind tearing up the valley but nothing that detracted from the place at all. Would definitely recommend.

We are a family of four based near London. We love Spain.....and return as much as we can. Ian was brought up on The Balearic Islands and so has a connection with all things Hispanic speaking the language fluently. Our boys are 22 and 18 and have grown up experiencing holidays in Spain and enjoying the villa as their playground with its pool, pool table, and space to run around safely and securely.

When travelling with friends, family and extended family we feel it's important that everyone is catered for and has the space to relax and enjoy without feeling cramped, and always having to compromise on space, rooms, beds and facilities.
