Three Pines Historic Log Cabin (cirka 20 minuter från Ark Encounter)

Stugan på Three Pines Farm är rik på historia. Loggarna som komponerade den höjdes på 1790-talet av Captain Phillip Buckner, en revolutionär krigs veteran. Under 1800-talet inrymde det Morfords tavern och värdshus, med många gäster som anlände av stagecoach.

Trots sin långa historia är stugan väl lämpad för den moderna gästerna. Den består av tre våningar. På övervåningen har den Buckner och Morford sovrum, som innehåller en drottning och dubbelsäng respektive. Ett badrum med dusch / bad gränsar till Morford Room.

Mitten / bottenvåningen är där gästerna går in i stugan. Kapten Buckner uppskattade hans gäster i detta utrymme med överdådiga festligheter. I sin moderna layout innehåller detta våning matsal, kök och vardagsrum. Det finns också en toalett som gränsar till köket.

Även om källaren inte var en del av den ursprungliga stugan, flyter den sömlöst i modern layout. Det inkluderar Pine Bedroom (queen size-säng), denen (futon cabriolet till en dubbelsäng), och ett badrum med dusch. Det är en utegångs källare, med uteplats bakom stugan.

Weekend trip

Cabin was absolutely gorgeous. My dad really enjoyed the history attached to it. We rented so we could visit the ark encounter and it was a perfect rental. Would definitely stay here again

Very nicely assembled (decor) cabin with interior and exterior comforts. We really enjoyed the layout and lounge options on porch, fountain, and TV rooms. Very clean and had all the amenities we needed. Very relaxing trip.

It was very clean and charming, we stayed downstairs, my brother and his wife upstairs. And it was about 30 min to the Ark Encounter, 1 hour to creation museum , and also 1 hour to Frankford to the Buffalo Trace distillery, and Daniel Boones grave, which had a great view of downtown and Capital,

The Best Cabin Experience

Truly amazing workmanship and decor. Every time we walked around we would find something else special about this cabin. The relocation/history binder is a quick and necessary read! It is one of the best Log Cabins we have stayed in so far and I recommend it to anyone looking for a stay in the KY countryside!

Check in was super easy/instructions were great. The drive to/from town is scenic but also requires a little time and care. The notebook with information on the story of the place was excellent. It was quiet and relaxing for 4 adults. There is a little maintenance that should be done. Overall, quite satisfactory and enjoyable.

Excellent Retreat for an Ark Encounter Visit

Three Pines Farm was the perfect place to stay during our four-day visit to the Creation Museum and Ark Encounter. Located between the two attractions, it was a convenient retreat after a day in the museum. The kitchen was well stocked, and the two tables gave us a place to eat and another for games. The living room and downstairs family room were perfect for reading a book or watching a video. The history of the 200-year-old log cabin is well documented and very interesting. We enjoyed walking around the beautiful property or sitting by the pond. We will definitely come back to Three Pines when we return to the area!

Our yearly spring back

Every year over the kids spring break we load up and try a new state we've done the Dakotas, Maryland, Texas, Oklahoma, Iowa, Illinois, Wisconsin, California, Arizona and this year was Kentucky. We absolutely loved the 3 pines cabin it was warm and inviting with everything we needed for our stay. We would have loved to stay even longer if we could but this was a last minute booking because we own a large small business and barely could get away this year but tha k God for y'all in this peaceful place it is exactly what we needed to relax and spend family time

Nice Cabin, little bugy

Nice cabin, clean had all the extra ammendities which was nice. Shortly after we got there we saw a bee inside the living room which landed on my Dads leg, then later the next morning was sitting in the dinette area and saw a centipede crawling up the wall, grossed me out. Not sure if they exterminate this cabin or not but I would highly recommend it. Other then that, it was a nice cabin.

Beautiful view

We enjoyed our stay and loved the history of the cabin! My elderly dad traveled with us as a Christmas present to see the Ark. He loves old cabins, which is why we chose this one. We loved the view! We got to see the most beautiful rainbow right over the cabin! It was like looking at a painting with the rainbow set over the gorgeous property. Sweet memories were made and I’ll cherish every one. The only thing I’d suggest is a good deep clean on the upstairs jacuzzi tub. The jet spouts were dirty, and the towels in that bathroom had a mildewed odor. Other than those small issues, we’d plan another stay at this cabin, as well as recommend it to others. Thank you for helping us to have a wonderful visit!

This is an awesome log cabin that resides in an incredibly scenic setting!

The history of this amazing log cabin is awesome! To think the main portion of this cabin is over 200 years old is incredible! We can't say enough nice things about the place. The cabin itself is beautiful, inside and out. It was immaculately clean. It's very nicely appointed with furnishings and artwork that matches the charm of the cabin. It also has all the modern conveniences you need to be comfortable and feel right at home. We loved having our morning coffee on the small porch off the kitchen, and we spent much of our time in the evening relaxing out on the front porch. The scenic views from almost every window were also incredible. The cabin is located off the beaten trail; however, we felt the twisting and winding roads to get there added to the overall experience and the charm of the place. If you are planning to visit the Ark Encounter, the Creation Museum, or if you just plan to spend some time in the area, we would highly recommend that you consider staying in this delightful log cabin.

Kentucky trip

Your cabin made our trip extra special. Your location and property is so peaceful and relaxing. We loved the country roads and quiet nights. You were close to all of the places we wanted to see yet far enough out to enjoy the countryside. The cabin layout was perfect for us two couples. We played cards at night, enjoyed the sunset over the pond and relaxed during our down time while not out sightseeing. Thank you so much for everything. We had a great trip and enjoyed your cabin immensely. Highly recommend for anyone going to the Ark Encounter or creation museum to stay at your place.
