We loved staying here. The apartment was nicely prepared and we felt like we were enjoying a home in a typical neighbourhood. The apartment wasn’t overdone but comfortable. We enjoyed the patio and regularly started our day sitting with coffee outside.

Great apartment very close to the Colosseum. The photos are accurate as is the description of the neighborhood. Marmi is delightful to work with—she was super responsive. And had good recommendations for things in the neighborhood. If you’re looking to be near this part of Rome, I’d highly recommend it!

Family of 5, stayed here comfortably. Excellent location, safe and close to Colosseum and other major sites. Marmi, was incredibly easy to work with, even handled transfers to/from FCO. Easy walk to Roma Terminali if you want to head out to other sites.

The listing was 100% accurate: we experienced the local feel of Rome—removed from the tourist hub-bub. Things to note: delicious gelato at the end of the block, and a delightful bakery made for fun evenings and great early mornings. Marmi was responsive and helpful with recommendations. We enjoyed our stay!

Had a wonderful stay at Casa Lilli. The host was very welcoming and the location is great for using public transportation or grabbing a taxi. The area is very safe and quiet compared to other parts of the city center and it is just a stones throw away from the Colosseum. I would definitely stay at this residence again.

Loved the area…was away from the tourist crowds but still had so much to offer in walking distance. Clean with many amenities. Great stay!

What a lovely place and amazing host! Location very close to the colosseum, making it easy to sites in that area. Many excellent restaurants within walking distance. Host was so helpful in organizing tours, sharing recommendations for restaurants, and also with transportation. She was communicative from time of booking until departure date. The multiple bathrooms was very convenient for our family. Would absolutely stay again if we had the chance both for the excellent hosting as well as accomodations.

The apartment was lovely and very clean, which i appreciated. Great space for us to visit as a family while on vacation. It is in a great location to restaurants and transportation options. We walked to the Colosseum, Trevi Fountain, and Mary Major Basillica. Would definitely stay here again. Marmi, the host, was very helpful throughout our stay.

This property has been in the family for generations, originally belonging to my husband’s grand-aunt before being passed down to us. What I love most about this neighborhood is its rich history and vibrant atmosphere. You can step right out of the front door and walk directly to the iconic Colosseum, where emperors once ruled the arena—it’s a breathtaking experience every time.

One of the best things about this area is its proximity to many of Rome’s most famous sites. You’re within walking distance of landmarks like the Roman Forum, Palatine Hill, and the Basilica of San Giovanni, all while being just far enough from the city’s chaos to enjoy a more relaxed, local atmosphere. It truly feels like the heart of Rome, but with a peaceful charm that allows you to experience the authentic side of the city.

This neighborhood offers a delightful blend of ancient history and modern life. It’s very safe, perfect for leisurely strolls through streets lined with beautiful architecture. You can also escape to Villa Celimontana, a hidden gem of a park where locals unwind in nature. From the apartment one easily reaches the main Ancient Roman sites such as the Colosseum, the Roman Forum, the Palatine Hill, Basilica San Clemente, and the Golden House of Nero just to name a few. There are banks, groceries, restaurants, pizzerias, pubs, coffee shops, laundromat, market, pharmacy and parks all within walking distance from Casa Lilli. The metro, bus stop and taxi stands are just 3 to 5 minutes walk. I chose the location to give our visitors the possibility to step out of the front door and walk straight to the Colosseum where the emperors once dominated the arena.
The neighborhood is great and safe surrounded by parks and yet CasaLilli is on a very quiet street!
