The Dolphin Cottage är en trevlig 1 Br / 1 Bath Cottage w / bekväm drottning säng och en dubbel storlek futon i vardagsrummet. Det kan sova upp till 3 personer. Om det behövs kan vi lägga till en aerobed.
Stugan ligger tvärs över gatan från Kehena Black Sand Beach bara 16 miles från Pahoa stad.

Detta är en avlägsen kustplats för människor som söker en säker, lugn plats att koppla av och de som uppskattar naturskönhet som Hawaii har att erbjuda.

Denna Oceanfront Cottage ligger nära 4 svarta sandstränder (Kehena, Pohoiki Family Beach, Mackenzie Beaches & Sea Caves, Kaimu och den nya Kapoho Beach.)

Detta är också en bra plats att besöka Volcanoes National Park - Home of Kilauea och den periodiska lavflödet bara en kort avstånd. Vi har hawaiiska djungler, tropiska regnskogar, vackra kustutsikt, termiska dammar vid Pohoiki, snorkling, valskådning med delfiner som flyttar till de varma hawaiiska vattnen från Alaska. Under vintermånaderna kan du ofta se valar ute i vattnet från vår Lanai Bara flera varv utanför vår vackra kust - i Kehena Beach Area.

Stugan har 1 sovrum, badrum, vardagsrum / matsal med en "matberedning" - som inkluderar kylskåp, handfat, disk / redskap. OBSERVERA att en mikrovågsugn och brödrost ugn finns i tvättstugan - utanför enheten.
Om ett fullt kök behövs, var vänlig överväga Whale House som ligger på fastigheten och är listat på Vrbo as well.

The Dolphin Cottage ligger bara 6 miles från Mackenzie Beach och havet grottor.
Pohoiki Black Sand Beach - en bra "Family Beach" med termiska dammar, ligger strax över Mackenzie Park och stranden. Dessa är några av de nyaste stränderna på jorden som skapas av den senaste utbrottet.

Kilauea vulkanen och Kamauna grottorna är bara en 45-60 minuters bilresa.

Om du är intresserad av yoga, ligger våra stugor 3 dörrar från Ramashalla.

Perfect Cottage

The cottage is perfect for a couple. We loved the size, the lanai overlooking the ocean was so relaxing. Close to nature and not touristy. A bit of a drive to town, but worth it.

So close to the beach. Loved hearing the sound of the ocean and staying around the pretty foliage. Periodic rain made for some peaceful and energizing relaxation time. Will be recommending to family and friends that need a relaxing place to rest and rejuvenate.

Stunning views

Location felt secluded with out being far away from everything. Views from the porch were lovely. Cottages were the perfect size, and had everything we needed. Hike down to the beach across the street is definitely worth it. The locals were so helpful and friendly. I’d definitely stay again.

Cute cottage right across from the ocean

Nice place, laid back feel,AC in the bedroom and good bed for a comfortable night sleep. Kehena black sand beach right across the road- you do have to climb down to it and trail is not well marked so ask anyone at the top how to get there.

Beautiful house in a wonderful location

This is a quaint and well maintained little house in a beautiful location directly across the street from a pristine black sand beach. We watched a magnificent sunset and the kids played in the water although it was a little rough. It was a l tough to cook because they did not have a full kitchen but we made it work. I would recommend this place to a friend.

Great stay

I was only there for the night as I was traveling through the area but really enjoyed the home and the location right on the ocean. It's a quiet little neighborhood. Very quaint. Andre and Susan were responsive via text and even sent over a new coffee maker early in the morning when the existing one broke on me. They were great and the house was VERY clean. OVerall great experience.

Kehena Delights

We were thrilled to have found this gem of a home at this dramatically scenic location. The photos really do not do it justice. Wish we could have stayed longer. It would have been helpful to know that there was a single burner hot plate, but we managed to plan food that would not require cooking! Mahalo!

Kehena Beach!

This was our second stay at Dolphin Cottage. Kehena Beach is the obvious first attraction, as its across the street. If you've never been to Kehena, it's worth a visit. Beautiful sunrise, constant waves (watch out for the intermittent big wave) and interesting people. If you want some quiet time, you can sit on the balcony of Dolphin and listen to the palms rustle in the breeze. Dolphin is a good central point to visit Hilo, Pahoa, and VNP. Recommend!

Cute cottage across the street from beach. Quiet neighborhood. Full kitchen space but attention to no microwave or stove Drive to nearest store so I had bought groceries before arriving not knowing I would be unable to cook. Addition of at least a microwave would have made it perfect

Quiet get away

If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle this is the place! I loved walking across the street to take a swim in the morning. We drove around to see the 2018 volcano eruption. Everything is so lush. My husband and I really enjoyed our visit.

Location, Beauty, solitude

Loved walking across the street in the morning with a cup of coffee and looking down on the ocean. Morning sun onto the deck was relaxing and invigorating. All amenities available were exactly what we needed for a 5 day get away!

Mixed stay

This is on the rainy side of the island. It rained every day. There was discarded trash in the car park - old clothes and a spray bottle, a junk food wrapper under the stairs. Windows were filthy. Screens so covered with dust I could smell it when the breeze blew through them. I cleaned a few screens to fix that. That water tasted terrible. Used botted water after the first taste. A Britta pitcher would be a good cheap fix. The place has good potential. A black sand beach is across the road. A steep climb but doable. But better attention to cleaning is needed.
