Välkommen till Buxton Cottage - The Skipper.

Antithesis av modern Hatteras Island. Kom och njut av denna mysiga 1950s strandstuga nybyggd med alla moderna bekvämligheter. Detta två sovrum, ett badställe kommer att tillgodose alla dina behov - och bara några steg från stranden.

Skipparen har två sovrum, ett badrum, fullt utrustat kök, TV, internet, Wi-Fi, alla sängkläder tillhandahålls (4 badhanddukar och varje säng har 1 uppsättning lakan), gratis saker som en toalettpapper, kaffe filter och papperskorgen. Pussel, kort. Parkering och uteservering på balkongen. NYHET: Dusch utomhus med handfat!

OBS: Det här är triplex och enheten ligger på övervåningen med ett trappsteg till ytterdörren. Därför är den inte väl lämpad för handikappade eller äldre.

VIKTIGT: Maximal beläggning på 4 personer är strikt tillämpad. Buxton Cottage ska inte användas för gruppevenemang eller sammankomster. Rökning är inte tillåten. Underlåtenhet att följa kommer att resultera i utslagning utan återbetalning.

Koppla av i hjärtat av ön. Buxton ligger centralt mellan alla de bästa platserna att kite board, vindsurfing, fisk, tillgång till stranden, surf, paddleboard, promenad, vandring och cykel. Bara några minuters bilresa till Cape Hatteras fyr och stränder. Du kan gå till fyrstränderna och restaurangerna. Allt är inom gång eller cykelavstånd.

Bara 1. 8 miles från en av de främsta kiteboarding platserna, Kite Point. Buxton Cottage är 10 mycket in från Atlanten. Gå till havet och njut av din morgon kopp kaffe medan du tittar på soluppgången ... Sedan njut av 6. 8 miles ner vindrutor från Kite Point till North Avon dra ut. Eller ännu mer om du vill! Vi är säkra på att denna strandstuga kommer att uppfylla alla dina semesterbehov!

Couple Trip

Great place for the two of us to spend the week. Easy access to beach. The kitchen was handy for light breakfasts and lunch. The bed was comfortable.

Mini vacation

My daughter and I enjoyed our short stay. The apartment is 5 minute walk from the beach. Communication with the host was excellent! I would recommend with place for a small family.

Calm and Peaceful!

The Skipper was cozy and comfortable. Plenty of space for us. Comfy beds! The kitchen had everything we needed. We enjoyed the short walk to the beach. Groceries and beach shopping was less than a mile away. This is our 2nd year at this property.

Better than I expected! Fine for four people.Outside shower didn’t work but there was a hose hooked up to use in the shower area . I would rent again .

Nice Getaway

It was a nice older apartment. It was very clean and cozy. The TV was a bit hard to use but we didnt really use it much. It was about 10 houses from the ocean so not quite oceanside, but it really wasnt a bad walk. We thoroughly enjoyed staying there and would love to go back!

OBX Getaway

My husband and I loved the cozy beach cottage apartment for our OBX getaway. It had everything to make our stay comfortable. Linda was a fabulous hostess as well. The location is also perfect as it’s close to stores and restaurants. Highly recommend this property!

Nice for the price

We really enjoyed our stay at the Skipper. The location was amazing and although dated, everything was clean, comfortable, and in working order (except for the outdoor shower and sink, but no big deal. We just rinsed off in the hose).

Fantastic Place

So many great things to say about this property. 1) The hosts were fast response and very helpful and terrific communicators. 2) The location is great. You can walk down to the beach. 3) The beds were super comfortable. I got great night's sleep, and you can even hear the waves of the ocean. Will stay here again.

Relaxing stay

Neal & Linda were the most hospitable hosts. My trip was a 4 day family outing with 2 uncles. We were fortunate in that our hosts stayed in the same building during our visit & they were extremely helpful with any basic needs or questions that we had. Place is quaint, super clean with nice bedrooms. Location is quiet with access to nice restaurants & shops. Highly recommend a breakfast & an order of steamed shrimp @ Diamond Shoals!! Conner’s grocery is also nearby for any basic needs. Looking forward to a return trip.

Enjoyable experience

This apt. was just right for my husband and me. The beds were very comfortable. The couch in the living room is a futon. It leans back a bit but pillows did help. We did not use the kitchen except for frig and sink, but it seemed to have all that was needed to cook. It is close to the beach! We would stay there again.

Budget stay

There are pros and cons regarding this place. Pros: very close to the beach ( about three minutes of slow walking distance), very close to surfboard rentals, Natural Art Surf Shop has very affordable price $10 a day for 8 foot long board, not too far from Cockeyed Clam Restaurant, food is simple but tasty. Cons: The location and surroundings creates mixed feelings. It’s not too bad but I would think twice to take my family if my kids were not grown ups by now. The biggest disappointment I have was a huge rusty stain in the bathroom sink and dirty drain hole in the bathtub. The design and furniture are very minimalistic but I don’t complain. It would be nice to have at least small bar of soap and toilet paper in the bathroom but I guess price dictates the quality.

Awesome place!

This place is SO close to being 5 stars. If they added a few more home amenities, and updated a few items they do have it would be the perfect little spot!Im going to give an honest break down review for everyone because I was very on the fence about staying here, but it was overall great!Pros:- 2 minute walk to the beach- Large backyard area for playing around, corn hole, small inflatable kiddie pool, whatever you want!- Inside is MUCH more spacious than you'd think- Beds were incredibly comfortable- Built in storage in the bedrooms for plenty of unpacking space‐ Full big bathtub in bathroom- Host was quickly responsiveCons:- Host does not provide any "basics" for the stay (no dish soap, sponge, trash bags, etc. that some VRBO places include for you)- House is missing quite a few "basic necessities" (no toaster, cheese grater, oven mits, a decent amount of kitchen items you'd like to have like that)- Outdoor shower does not work- A/C does not work well in the rooms (they do provide 1 plug in fan but both rooms are noticeably warmer than living area)- Couch is a futon...Everytime you get up it moves and lifts. Such an easy thing to upgrade and make a much nicer living space Overall this space was great and we do plan on coming back next year! If you're on the fence, just booked it!
