It is an older property and does not have an expansive view of the beach or ocean. However, the beach access is very easy and the area of the beach, unlike many beach areas in Florida, is not super crowded which made time on the beach very pleasant. Easy access to many of the local restaurants. Good recommendations on local places to visit.

We had a great relaxing vacation on the beach. We loved being able to just walk out to the beach. We stayed here for our 40th wedding anniversary. Beach was in the back yard.

Beautiful ocean view just a few steps from the beach!! Perfect place to stay for the week that was close to the water but also a quick drive to shops and food around the island! Hosts provided beach supplies which I thought was awesome. Having the washer/dryer on site was also a big plus!!

We enjoyed everything about our stay. The beach is just a few steps away and gorgeous. Everything was very clean and comfortable. We look forward to booking again!

Property overall was clean, host was responsive to any communication, beach view was lovely with minimal vegetation obstruction. Parking was challenging when trying to back out as no place to turn around. Although this is listed as a non-smoking property, that applies to interior of property only. We personally were not able to enjoy use of the balcony due to excessive smoking by lower guests. Beach access was very good and once you figure out the outdoor hose and shower system, that amenity was helpful! We enjoyed the magnificent lightening display and were treated to a full rainbow display after dinner on our last night!! Overall this was a great location to stay.

We absolutely loved this property!! We have stayed downstairs twice, which was nice, however having the balcony to view beach from was huge for us. The only thing I didn't like (and it's certainly not a deal breaker) it would have been nice to have a curtain or shade over the entry door as the sun does beat down into the cottage. Overall this was a great experience for us and we will be back!!!

Once we got over some of the cleanliness issues along things just thrown into the twin bedroom closet and the mess in the utility closet we were able to settle into the Pelican Perch. The view of the beach and the access was good. However it was a little confusing when it came to just who had the right to use beach chairs and toys as it was placed right in midst of the downstairs renters outdoor area. The close access to the Anna Maria Island Centre made it easy to walk to Walgreens and a variety of restaurants misc. shops. Overall we were happy with our stay.

We had the best time! We were close to the beach, our place was as described, beds were comfortable and everything we needed was provided. We were close to everything and our host was responsive.

Beautiful beach, peaceful location, and we enjoyed our family time together. The unit could use some updates, including more comfortable beds, a repair to the loose outlet in the twin bedroom, and clarification of the checkout instructions (which referenced a dishwasher that wasn’t present). The patio door was secured with a wooden dowel rather than a traditional lock, and parking was tight for larger vehicles. Overall, we had a nice stay and appreciated the location.

Beautiful view, relaxing location and everything you need for a quiet relaxing stay at the beach. Holmes beach is one of the most beautiful beaches ive been to and we will be back.

Location of the property and beach quality were both exceptional. The property itself was adequate. Expect a beach house. Accommodations are basic, clean, with everything you need to enjoy the beach and surrounding area.
