Christmas vacation with family

This home was spacious for our family of 9. Walking distance to a variety of restaurants, cafes and food trucks. We drove to parks, Austin library, Austin City Limits studio, Thinkery in Mueller and San Antonio Zoo. Looking forward of going back to Austin. I wish the house had a vacuum cleaner or a broom versus a mop.

Overall a great house with lots of space to fit guests. Some good restaurants in the immediate area but otherwise you’ll need to Uber to just about everything

Perfect for Families/Large Groups

We stayed here for a cousin's trip and the space was perfect for 10 of us, including 2 children. House was spacious enough to fit all of us comfortably. Location also prime- airport, city, stores, attractions all within 10-15 mins away. Well stocked kitchen and good amenities throughout. Host was responsive to all our concerns and sent someone to troubleshoot immediately. Only suggestion: better housekeeping. Some linens were dirty, bed sheets had stains, some fruit flies in kitchen (probably from previous renters), floor had dust mites. For this reason, giving 4 stars.

A simple place to sleep, but overpriced and not well maintained

Our group stayed at this underwhelming property and it was just good enough to rest in-between our exploration of the city. Beds were fairly comfortable, but the property was poorly maintained with cheap furniture that was in need of repair or replacement. The location was good, but given the cost of the rental, it was extremely overpriced. The nightly rate was already on the high end for a property like this and when we were forced to pay a rebooking fee, due to one of our party landing in the hospital unexpectedly, it ended up being far more than if we were each to have booked our own hotel rooms in the area. Guest Spaces is seems to operate solely for profit and has no concern for hospitality.

Great for a group

A group of friends gathered to visit Austin during the eclipse. The home gave ample space for everyone with 5 bedrooms. Well stocked kitchen. We had a hiccup with a broken bed but the property company dealt with it within hours. There was a noise issue with the delicious restaurant next door but was solved with free cocktails the next day! The location was great for quick access to downtown.

Good for a group of friends

The property, location, and check in/out process was great, however, the quality of the beds and other furniture was poor. Most of the beds were broken and there was one bed that was unusable because of that.

Questionable neighborhood

There is a restaurant next door that (for the most part) isn’t a problem, except that one time there was a truck that was there from 4:20-5:00 AM (had a constant grinding/humming sound). Very hard to sleep. On another night, there was a patron parked in front of the gate (so we couldn’t park). Luckily there was a parking spot the restaurant let us use, but it isn’t the best part of town. Not much street lighting and vagrant population is somewhat prominent.

Overall our stay did not meet our expectations based upon the cost and description. Key items were missing, grill tools, plunger, pans, etc. Bathrooms were not clean, several cockroaches, bedroom light bulb out, pans dirty, several bedroom doors either didn’t close or tough to open, and half eaten apple sitting on pantry shelf. Very loud restaurant next door and rooster that started at 4:45am every morning and stopped whenever he felt like it - should have been disclosed. Sleeps 10 but kitchen table for 6, despite perception in picture. Towels in dryer and cans on street despite arriving day after garbage day. Nobody is going to walk 2 miles to Rainey street from here, it needs to be removed from the title.

Just Perfect

We wanted to be close to where our conference was, but have a safe, comfortable place for significant others and kids to stay. We loved this location. Close to the conference hotel, close to great food, close to river, just beautiful!!!

Good place

It was a good place to stay. It is right next to a BBQ place, but it wasn’t too noisy. It’s pretty close to everything (restaurants/bars are a short walk, scooter ride, or Uber). Be prepared for a little loitering around the outside gate from the place next door. It wasn’t a big problem, but we had to ask a few people to move so we could get into the townhome Friday/Saturday night. It’s sort of a natural spot to stop if your leaving the BBQ place. The town home was a little run down (marks along the walls, a crooked bed in one of the bedrooms, etc) and the outside areas weren’t clean (spider webs, dust, etc), but again, not a deal breaker. The place was a good place to stay with a group and we didn’t have any issues. Really enjoyed the location!

Great stay in the heart of Austin!

The perfect stay for a girls weekend! The location was great. Close by to downtown and lots of fun restaurants. The place was clean upon arrival and check in was easy. Would recommend to anyone looking for an Austin getaway.
