När du anger denna unika, historiska hem kommer du att upptäcka en nivå av nådig, hantverkare lever som uppmuntrar kreativitet och avkoppling. Original- konst, rymliga rum och stora fönster inbjuder dig att njuta av din egen unika metod för semester liv. Njut av dramatiska vyer med utsikt över Gastineau Channel, Sandy Beach och de pittoreska städerna Douglas och Juneau. Denna 2200 kvadratfot hem byggdes 1914 och har varsamt renoverats till en rymlig, modern hem, vi kallar Fleek House.

Fleek House erbjuder 3 sovrum med en säng som rymmer en eller två vuxna för totalt upp till 6 personer. Hemmet har också en övervåning leksak / bok nook område som är öppen för korridoren och har inte en dörr. Denna krog har en loveseat som öppnar sig i en tvillingmadrass. En golvsmatta kan också placeras i denna leksaks- / bokhylla men det ger en snäv passform. Vi kräver en extra gästavgift på $ 10 per natt för mer än 7 gäster och vi begränsar husets totala beläggning till 10.

En handbyggd nöjescenter rymmer en stor TV och Wi-Fi-router i vardagsrummet. Snygga möbler och varma kast ger dig möjlighet att snuggla in och njuta av utsikten, eller ta en Netflix-show på TV. (Apple TV finns med ett gratis Fleek House Netflix-konto.)

Köket erbjuder granit räknare, anpassade lönn skåp och en äter i baren med plats för fyra. Apparaterna är rostfritt stål och inkluderar en dubbel elektrisk ugn och en gasspis topp, diskmaskin, mikrovågsugn, och kyl / frys. Samla måltidsinspiration från kokbokssamlingen och förbered en Alaskan måltid som passar för kungar och drottningar.

Fleek House har ett komplett tvätt- / lera rum med hög effektivitets tvättmaskin och torktumlare på bottenvåningen.

Koppla av och varva ner i den överdimensionerade befälhavaren svit på bottenvåningen. Ett rymligt badrum har en inbyggd kakeldusch, dubbla fåfängligheter, ett separat kommoderum och en klädkammare.

Klättra trappan för att upptäcka 2 sovrum, ett med en dubbelsäng och en med en fullstor säng. Det finns också en bonus / leksakskrog med en loveseat som öppnar in i en enkelsäng. Övervåningen finns ett komplett badrum med badkar.

Den Fleek House ligger i ett lugnt bostadsområde i den lilla staden Douglas. Du kan gå från huset till ett riktigt bra restauranger och cocktailupplevelse på ön Pub som är bara 3 kvarter bort. Eller njuta av en av de många prisbelönta Alaskan Brewery öl på Louies Douglas Inn Bar, också bara 3 kvarter bort. Om du är en rullator, erbjuder detta hem flera enkla promenader loopar från 0,25 mil till över 3 miles i längd. I själva verket är historiska centrum Juneau bara tre miles away om du verkligen vill sträcka på benen!

Det finns två parkeringsplatser utanför gatan i uppfarten av E Street för Fleek House.

The House Was as Wonderful as the View

We LOVED this house. It was a perfect location (easy to get everywhere we wanted to go). We spent a lot of time looking out the windows at the glorious view. Perfect place to stay!

Juneau vacation stay

The location is away from the bustle of the cruise ships, but still convenient to downtown Juneau. The house was perfect for a family of four with nearly grown children since everyone had their own space.

Amazing Property

We had an amazing time at the Fleek house!! It’s a wonderful property and was a home away from home. It’s in a great central location, and was very easy to navigate to and from. The property is so comfortable and we loved the furnishings. Highly recommend staying here!!

Nice house with good location for what we were going to do. Close to down town Juneau but not too close. Good and quiet and the Island Pub is just down the hill. Sandy beach is close by too.

Great place to stay!

We loved our stay here at the Fleek house! Great location, short walk to a pub and short drive to town. House was very clean and beautiful. The hosts are very accommodating and very quick to reply should you have a question. We would stay again! Thankyou Sydney!

Again & Again - The Absolute BEST!

We’ve stayed here before and always try to book Fleek House whenever we come for family get togethers. Quiet and convenient and sooo beautiful! Every amenity is included and Sydnie and Alan are such gracious hosts! Highly recommended if you’re looking for a cozy comfortable home with a spectacular view!

Lovely home for families

Fleek House is a beautiful property which is perfect for families. My husband and I stayed there with our daughter, her husband and their three age 5 and under children. The home was well equipped and safe for the little ones. We would definitely stay here again when we visit Juneau.

Amazing Property

It's hard to know where to start. The location of this property on Douglas Island is wonderful. You're within walking distance of 3 restaurants and Sandy Beach. The view of the channel from the living room is world class! I could sit there all day and watch the ships, and planes come and go. And the layout of the house is amazing and wide open. I highly recommend this property.

Fleek House

We came from Alabama and had Christmas with our son and his family who live in Juneau. It was a great home for all of us to stay together. Their house is not big enough for us all. The home is comfortable and roomy with 3 nice bedrooms. Our stay was wonderful and we enjoyed our family very much. Sydney and Alan we super host!

Cozy and so comfortable

First trip to Juneau and we were not sure what to expect! The house is so much cuter than pics and description…so comfortable, clean and literally had everything we could possibly need. Beds are super cozy and the hosts are very accommodating. The location was perfect! We enjoyed having a glass of wine and watching the cruise ships come and go. Top notch and highly recommend!

Great place, beautiful interior, perfect for a groups.

Host is super friendly and communicates promptly through app. Easy check in, beautiful interior and perfect for a small group. Be fore warned the little road leading up to the house is steep, but the drive levels out (hey, welcome to Juneau!). Kitchen and everything is modern, appliances available, bedrooms are nice and plenty of seating for whatever your preference. This is the place to choose for your Juneau vacation- I definitely recommend.

Wonderful Stay in Juneau

Fleek House was a wonderful place to stay! It was clean and fully stocked to make our stay awesome. The view in the morning with my tea was great. Loved that we were blessed with sunny warmer weather. Sydney and Alan were great hosts and came over personally to fix the TV when it wasn't working. We enjoyed meeting and talking with them. Would love to stay here again on my next trip to Juneau. I would recommend Fleek House to anyone heading to the Juneau area.

Juneau Gem

Perfect place for a group or family to stay while in Juneau. The house is beautiful yet cozy with a spacious, well appointed kitchen , dining area, living room. We had 7 adults in out group and never felt crowded. It’s location is a short drive away from downtown Juneau and within walking distance to restaurants, park/beach on Douglas Island. The view is fantastic ! Besides the natural beauty you have a front row view of the cruise ships coming and going. Owners are very easy to work with and accessible. Sydney even graciously helped me retrieve some jewelry I accidentally left behind. Just an over all great place to stay.

Amazing place for family gathering

We couldn’t have been happier with this well equipped home. It was so well stocked for evening dinners with a view. It was great to stay just outside of Juneau. We had great access to all Juneau has to offer. We joked that the only thing lacking from the home is copper mugs for Mules. Haha! It had everything we needed and more! We had two evening fires down at Sandy Beach to cap off our days of adventures.

Sydney and Alan är värd

Hello! We are Sydney and Alan and we LOVE houses, especially houses with character and charm. Alan is a contractor and Sydney is a graphic designer turned shoe store owner (she owns Shoefly Alaska in historic downtown Juneau). Together we re-design homes and either sell or rent them to people who also love houses. Sydney grew up in Southeast Alaska, spending time in Cordova, Yakutat, Ketchikan and Juneau. Alan grew up in California, specifically the very Northern part of the state with massive redwood forests and the brilliant green Smith River. They met in in California, got married and decided to move to Juneau, Alaska. Alan agreed to a five-year adventure and over 30 years later is still here enjoying all Southeast Alaska has to offer!

Varför värden valde detta boende

Again, we LOVE houses with character and charm and this rustic mining home was on the verge of condemnation when it came to our attention. We tramped through the home in the dark, cold of winter and instantly could see the lovely potential it had. As we like to say, the home has "good bones." The home became our "side" project and we worked on it in our spare time from 2009 to 2015. We discovered that the home was built in 1914 and was known as the Fleek House up until we purchased it. This home has survived two major fires that destroyed blocks of downtown Douglas and with our structural improvements and modern insulation and heating systems , it is one of the coziest homes in Douglas when the Taku Winds howl up to 100 miles per hour every winter. We are pleased to know that this home will continue to grace the hillside of downtown Douglas for years to come.

The Fleek House offers a hand-crafted, artisan home space that we think encourages relaxation while inspiring creativity. Read a book curled up in the living room or sip a great wine at the kitchen bar while you admire the view down the Gastineau Channel to Taku Harbor. Gather fresh Alaska seafood and all the fixings for a gourmet meal which your whole group can cook up in the spacious kitchen. Or skip cooking in and stroll to a great cocktail and dinner at the Island Pub only three blocks away. This home offers a slice of small town life with some urban-level restaurant, bar and theatre options. A great combo!
