Familj barnvänligt! Njut av din vistelse på vårt fantastiska Waco Mid-Century Modern Home, som visas på Fixer Upper i säsong 2! Detta hus ombyggdes av Magnolia Homes. Denna fastighet ligger i centrum av staden, inbäddat i det trädbevuxna området i berget Mountain View, och har en fantastisk utsikt över skogen, en pergolatäckt uteplats med grill, en öppen planlösning och ett vackert modernt kök. Med sin nya cederträskydd kommer detta "berg" -modern säkert att erbjuda den perfekta dosen "zen" som du kanske behöver. Vårt hem är 4 bäddar / 3 bad, plus en plantskola utanför sovrummet, perfekt för din lilla, eller en luftmadrass på golvet för barn. Hemmet kommer att sova 10-12 personer (drottning luftmadrass för 11-12). Bekvämt beläget 12-15 minuter till centrala Waco, The Magnolia Silos & Baylor, med HEB & Target upp på gatan, du kan inte slå den här platsen. När du väljer ett hem att bo, är området mycket viktigt för säkerheten. Detta hem ligger i ett fantastiskt grannskap och vi har aldrig varit rädda för att gå utanför eller ta promenader, även på natten.

Clean & Comfortable With the Right Amount of Funk

A very nice place to stay that lives up to its reputation. The house has been well maintained since its TV makeover making it a great place to stay for a visit to Waco. The hosts are right on top of it and very responsive. Highly recommended.

One Night Stay for Graduation

The property is unique (fun to watch the episode on Fixer Upper) and met our needs for an overnight stay and place to chill after graduation ceremony. Note that parking is limited and house is on a busy street. It’s an older home (despite the remodel) so there are expected signs of age. Note there are two steps into the main living area (which was a hardship for two of our guests).

Baylor Thanksgiving

It was the BEST Thanksgiving! The Baylor WIN helped since our “bear” plays! It really was the perfect house for our family to spend time together! It was so spacious with open living/kitchen areas and great seating! Wish we were still there! And so clean and just a cool vibe throughout. Thank you for a memorable weekend! Also loved the Christmas tree! Felt so homey & festive! Very easy checkout too! Probably the best ever!

Property not being well maintained

It was fun to see the mid mod featured in fixer upper. Unfortunately the property was not being well maintained. It is listed for sale so that may be part of it but the front door has a large crack in a panel that you can see through. The living room carpet is filthy, the fan over the range was covered in grease and the windows were dirty. It was nice to have the mid century living room furniture which was comfortable. It’s little touches like remote controls for the living room tv not labeled and missing batteries. I didn’t contact the property owners about any of the issues because they didn’t impact our stay. Overall it was adequate but I would not choose it again. Bbb. Bbb

Class of 65 Girls Weekend

We had a long weekend trip for 7 ladies from the class of 1965 that have remained great friends throughout all these years. We try to have frequent trips so places in Texas. The Mid-Mod house was great. I would definitely stay there again.

A beautiful home

Overall we enjoyed the Mid-century modern, lots of room for us all and beautiful kitchen area. It did appear a little run-down and could easily be brought up to perfect (floors polished, shabby shredded rugs replaced, windows cleaned).

Waco Get Away

We took some good friends to see Waco and this home was the perfect place to gather. The home is close to everything and provides the perfect spot to relax after a day of sightseeing. The living and dining area of the house bring the outdoors inside and provide a very relaxing environment. The patio setting is beautiful and provided a great spot for coffee in the mornings listening to the birds. The home fit the six of us just right and the kitchen provided everything we needed. It was interesting to see the video restoration and history of the home. Josh was a great host and was easily accessible for questions. If you are headed to Waco, this is where you want to stay!

Girls trip of a lifetime

Location and house was as pictured with comfortable living room for visiting and had a good house lay out for the 4 of us. However, we messaged host with areas needing to be addressed for maintenance. If those are addressed I would change the rating to 5 star.

Great stay!

We had a great experience in the Mid-Century Modern house! It was fun to watch the episode and see all of the things that are original still in the home! It had plenty of space for our group to hang out and was centrally located to everything!!

Excellent rental in

This was a lovely house to stay for a few days while in Waco. Very clean and huge and welcoming kitchen and living area. Check in process was easy and host was extremely responsive to all questions.

We love hosting new friends in our home and watching them make wonderful memories with their families.
We got into this quite by accident. I basically lost my job the day before the episode aired. Our daughter, Lyla, was born on March 3, 2015 when our Fixer Upper episode came on the tv in the hospital room where we were resting with her. After things settled down, we assessed our situation and we were inspired to list our home on VRBO to help with the mortgage payments, or risk losing our new home.
We listed the home and the rest is history!
My wife, Jill Mashburn Barrett, is a wonderful designer and started an internationally known coffee shop on Baylor University Campus called Common Grounds in 1994. We have a warehouse by the Magnolia silos where we store unique goods and furniture from all over the world and Joanna has shopped there many times to help furnish this, and other homes on the show. Jill and the warehouse, "Falcon and Owl" were featured on some episodes in Season 3 of Fixer Upper.
I (Josh Barrett) own numerous rental properties with Jill including a home for women coming out of rehab and looking for a safe place to stay. Our dear friends, Summer and Ronnie, live in one of our other rent homes and manage this wonderful mission for us. Our homes are higher design than a typical rental property in town and our hope is to provide a next chapter in the lives of people looking to find an affordable and well designed short and long term stay. I am also starting an energy brokerage firm in 2017 to help people wade through the complex process of purchasing electricity for their commercial needs.
