Modern Newly completed self cathering one Bedroom Apartment of European standard 53 squared meters at the entry to the town in Ponta do Sol "Point of the Sun"

It is the perfect place to escape from the stress of city life combined with a nature orientated holiday.

This modern Apartment offers a very unique setting with impressive Sea-Mountain and Sunset views.

Bring an Android Smart Phone device sim lock free ( or dual 2nd slot sim lock free) with possibility hotspot tethering on it (check your settings), as on airport free sim cards can be provided or to purchase for 200-300 ESC, advisable to get 3-4G CV Movel/ Alou simcard (best option, better reach, better packages prices) to be able to use Wi-Fi tethering hotspot through your own device. We provide you a top up card of CVMOVEL /Alou which can be used for 1-7GB of data, some local call out minutes and sms ( depending on the length of your stay and which package can and will be provided ), ( when data limit is reached easily you can top up and to purchase extra data yourself at the provider and or grocery shops)

FHD TV with smartbox and Ggle Chromecast dongle and remote provided ( possibility to see YouTube, IPTV, Netflix, Ggle TV etc ) available to watch, keyboard and mouse also presented, just in case ( if it's to complicated to use ) bring your own laptop, tablet, Ipad along or your own Chromecast dongle. Netflix if you do have an account or apply 1 month for USD8.99 at Netflix Standard definition to enjoy fully Netflix movies, soaps, and much more. 3-4G on your mobile device will be good enough for streaming with a package of minimum 6-8 GB, movies can be watched at 600-800MB per movie under Standard definition at Netflix streaming. Notice High Definition will consume double in MB-GB!

Netflix is the ONE which consume LESS data in Standard definition and most recommendable to use to enjoy several hours of entertainment. YouTube uses double in usage!. Tip, all apps can be set in savers/ lower in data usage at settings in each apps beside your mobile saver.

Fixed lines are not reliable, many errors etc. at the point do Sol Santo Antao therefore we suggest mobile providers using prepaid through your own device hotspot thetering option at your settings!

Same for TV channels, or it's local Creole or Portuguese and poor signal, we opt the best option to stay connected (also on the go) and to be able to watch some entertainment and in your own language!

Rates are including normal usage water, electricity, towels and bed linen.

Towel service is not included, washing machine ( small fee directly given to the host ) and enough towels available.

Ponta do Sol (portuguese for the "point of the sun") is a small fishing settlement situated in the northern part of the island municipality of Santo AntĂŁo, Cape Verde. The city is the 12th largest in Cape Verde and is the seat of Ribeira Grande municipality.

The city is located about north of Porto Novo and northwest of Paul and Ribeira Grande and are linked with two main roads including one to Porto Novo. It sits near a cape of the same name and the mountains and the hills middle-class in Cape Verde.

Santo AntĂŁo

The surface area of Santo AntĂŁo, portuguese for "Saint Anthony", is 779 Km2 and it is the second largest island of the whole Archipelago. Its maximum length is of 43 Km, and the widest point is of 24 Km. The impressive high mountains constitute an attraction to those who visit the island, in the heart of which lays a mountain range from the northeast to the southeast culminating in a volcanic pick known as "Topo de Coroa", 1.979 metre high, one of the highest points of the island.

Santo Antão was discovered in 1462, but the Portuguese Crown would start its settlement around the year of 1548. A major development of the island as well as a network of new roads to improve the connection between the different communities in the island have not been possible due to the height of the mountains; they’re however considered to be important steps that should be taken towards the development of the island.

The landscape is desert to the South, but with the vegetation becoming very exuberant as one approaches the North of the Island, which is at the same time one of the most agricultural of the whole Archipelago. In fact, sugar cane, manioc, banana, breadfruit, mango, papaya, as well as many other plantations can be found in the island. Grog, a national strong alcoholic drink made from the sugar cane, is produced in a traditional way, in the "trapiches" (rudimentary machine moved by cows that grinds the sugar cane), which can still be found in some of the islands. The people’s hospitality is usually shown in the warm way that foreigners are welcomed everywhere in the island.

The economy characteristics of Santo Antao are typically of the island Small market, few diversity of economy structures, lack of private entrepreneurial capacity and insufficient distribution and commercialization chains of local produced goods and services are the most visible constrains.

The agricultural sector, directed primarily at regional and national consumption, is Santo AntĂŁo's main economic sector and income source.
There is now a growing increase in tourism given the island's exceptional conditions for adventure travel especially for walking holidays.
