Perfect for us!

This was a perfect stay for our family! Close to the beach and fishing dock for my boys to fish each morning and evening. The house was simple but clean and comfortable.

Very relaxing. It was quite except for the day they worked on raising the house across the alley. Enjoyed the fishing piers that were so close. Had all the comforts available for a stress free stay.

We really liked the house and the neighborhood. The beach was so close, making it convenient for daily visits. The BoardWalk is nice, and the restaurants in the area are great. We highly recommend this beautiful place for anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable stay.

Comfortable stay, very close to the beach

Very comfortable stay, lots of amenities available, kitchen is fully stocked with cooking utensils, cleaning and pet supplies, lots of supplies for the beach including chairs, sand toys and towels. This property is a seven minute walk to the beach and a three minute walk to trolley stops. One thing that was slightly tricky was contacting the local property manager, in-app communication was not available, but they were easily reachable by phone.

Home was nice, adequately furnished fir our needs. Thankful it included allowance for my dog… but could use more space in the yard for dogs to relieve themselves.

This is at such a great location. Beach just right across the street. Shopping and restaurants right over the bridge. We walked everywhere. Johns Pass is beautiful. I just suggest to add more forks.

1948 2 bedroom beach cottage

We enjoyed staying in a comfortable, quiet and safe place! It was the first place I’ve ever stayed at that did not have a dishwasher or coffee. I just happened to bring my own coffee, so I was thankful for a coffee machine. I also brought my own frying pan knowing how old pans have been at other places. Thanks for a wonderful beach cottage stay!

Beach Getaway

Our stay was absolutely perfect! The homey atmosphere, cleanliness, and quick walk to the beach were all perks to our stay. There are shops, restaurants, & groceries just a minute down the road. The hosts are thoughtful enough to include common household items (Tide Pods, pots/pans, even dog shampoo!) to really make their home feel like yours. But what truly set this stay apart was the hospitality after we had left. When we got home we realized we had forgotten a personal item & the hosts went above & beyond by shipping it back to us! Their attentiveness & care made our stay even more memorable. Thank you again!

Cute cottage.

The property is in a great location. Easy walk to the beach and restaurants. Groceries are a mile down the road. We love sitting at the outside table for coffee or just to relax. The place was very clean and when we had a plumbing issue, it was taken care of very quickly. I would definitely go back!!!

Great house with close walk to beach

This house was the perfect tucked away bungalow with a short walk to the beach. Close access John's pass and Publix. Only about 25 minutes to Clearwater. The only thing that I would recommend is more silverware. There were only a few forks and spoons, making it hard for a family of 4 to all have silverware.

TI Captains Cottage Review

The cottage is in a great location. It is 1 block from the beach, walking distance to restaurants, Johns Pass, lagoon, and park with playground and dog park. Publix is a mile away. The cottage is very comfortable with a large kitchen. They also supplied beach chairs and beach toys. We had a few minor issues when we checked in and they were very responsive and addressed the issues right away. We stayed 28 days and our only concern was the kitchen was ill-equipped for cooking meals on a daily basis. There were plenty of pans (not many pots) but were in very poor condition. Also, lots of knives but none were sharp. Items such as a can opener and veggie peeler were provided but did not work well. One other concern was the living room rug. It really needed a good shampooing. Overall, the cottage was clean and we enjoyed our stay. We would definitely stay there again.

Clean, comfortable, great location

The location is great - the beach is just across the road, and the lagoon is on the other side. A convenience store and ice cream shop are very close too. We were traveling with our dog, and there's a terrific dog park a short walk across the lagoon. The house itself is nice - very clean and well furnished, with thoughtful touches such as beach chairs, dog beds, extra blankets, and umbrella. The furniture is comfortable. It is the perfect size for 3 or 4 people. I was disappointed by one thing, however: the property description gives the impression that the back yard is fenced in, but it isn't - the fences depicted in the photos belong to the neighbors. The "yard" is a scraggly patch of grass that isn't enclosed at all, so it's not really suitable for pets or kids to play in. The description was a bit misleading about that. Also, the fees are quite high, in addition to the cost itself. That said, this place was worth it for the location alone. We would come back again.

Cute Bungalow

Our flight was very delayed so we didn’t get to the house until very late at night. The pictures in the listing showcase the property well. It’s quaint & well decorated. The perfect location to beach access, dining & shopping. It was nice having beach chairs & coolers available. The kitchen is spacious & the living room had adequate seating for 4 people to relax & watch a bit of TV. Sine we hit FL during a cold streak some of us were cold at night so the extra blankets available came in handy. The bathroom wall across from the toilet needed a good washing. The bathroom floor wasn’t 100% clean upon arrival. There were a limited amount of bath towels. If you want more than 4, you will have to bring them with you or wash them in the provided washing machine (3 wash pods were provided) & dryer. If you stay here you will need to provide your own bathroom & kitchen hand soap, paper towels, hand towels for the kitchen & garbage bags (only 1 came with the rental). The remote control in the master bedroom did not have batteries so we could not use the TV. Overall, we were very pleased with our stay & would stay there again.

Simple and tidy

Our stay was ok. The house is quant and had everything anyone could need as far as standard supplies. The beds and linens did have some hair on them so we opted to not use the pillows. The master bed did not feel sturdy and felt like it could fall at any moment it was also very uncomfortable. The grounds were not as well kept as in the photo. We found a bag of cigarette butts tied to a pipe on the house which was gross but probably left by a guest. There was some staining on the walls in the bathroom I assumed were pee however after reaching out the cleaning company called immediately to provide explanation and were very kind on the phone. Upon checkout we noticed that the van with who we assumed the cleaners kept circling the house and looked very grumpily at us each time they drove by which left me feeling frustrated as I felt it was unnecessary. We locked the doors right at 10 am but we’re apparently inconveniencing them by staying in the driveway another 4 minutes to set our gps and get situated.

Property not maintained inside and out

- Clothes dryer exhaust ventilation not vented outside (FL blding code violation). Laundry room was not clean with dryer lint collected on walls and floor. - Bathroom has no exhaust ventilation (FL blding code violation as well). Bathroom cabinet door broken and missing. Bathroom very small with no tub; just shower. - HVAC indoor vents very dirty along with main room ceiling, Ceiling fans blades dirty. - Most of the windows were dirty the cheap plastic blinds some of which did not work or broken. Window screens were broken on front door and front window. - Kitchen cabinets were a mess and not organized. We spent time organizing some of the drawers. Fire Extinguisher was not secured in a safe location (again FL blding code violation). Paint peeling from behind frig. - outside patio chairs and table very dirty. Backyard overgrown with weeds. Very hard to just walk back there. There are areas on ground that are dug up resulting with uneven ground that I almost fell from. - Evolve is quick to rent but our concerns with this property have still not been addressed or any reimbursement given. Advertised Pictures misleading. - Floor, bathroom and bathrooms were clean. Location is nice with easy access to everything.
