Great house, great location, great stay!

This Duck house was perfect for our family of 10, with grandchildren from 4-16, there was something for everyone. The home is spacious, well-supplied and located a short walk to the beach access at the end of the street. The house was clean, beds all comfy and the pool was enjoyed by all. The beach cart was a great addition! Owner Jeff was great to work with . A five star stay all around!

Family of grandparents, kids & grandkids for family reunion/beach vacay - ALL had a great time. We stayed at this beach house before and everyone wanted to come back this year. It's so clean and beautiful. Something for everyone. Great access to beach & town, plus a pool when the ocean was too much. Thank you!!

Perfect for large families!

What a week! We had three generations stay at the house and had a blast. We had enough room to spread out and the common area was perfect for meals and games. The pool is great for young kids and the house is an easy walk to the beach and waterfront shops. All in all, I highly recommend the property.

June 8 - 15, 2023

Duck Sundowner was the perfect place to stay in Duck for our two families. The house and property are is as pictured. We all loved staying there. The walk to the beach only took a few minutes. Shops in town are a quick drive, but would be no problem if you chose to stroll down to the Duck Boardwalk on foot. I would've re-book this house again without hesitation if we did not have other plans for next year.

Family vacation

This is the first time that I was able to get the entire family together and we could not have rented a better house. It was so convenient to the beach with the kids and they loved the pool. Jeff was great to work with and when we had a concern with the ac he promptly got someone to fix the issue. We’re looking forward to making this a yearly vacation.

Awesome Week in Duck

This house worked great for our large extended family. Five families fit into the house and we had a great time. The pool was great when the ocean was cold, and the walk to the ocean was short enough that there were no hassles whatsoever since the beach wagon at the house was a life saver. Would definitely stay here again!

Vacation 2019

This beach house in Duck, NC was perfect for our family. There were 9 adults and 6 children. There was plenty of room and enough supplies to accommodate our needs. The pool was very nice and great fun! We also appreciated the close proximity to the beach and stores. A wonderful vacation!

Great cottage and place for a family & friends vacation

We really enjoyed our vacation ! We were 3 families ( 6 parents & 7 teenagers). The cottage is great: large kitchen & living room. The fridge is huge which allowed us to skip a few days without going to the grocery store. Enjoyed our days at the beach. Duck is a beautiful little town and had fun spending time on the boardwalk which is not too commercial.

Wonderful week

We stayed at this property the week of July 20-27. My husband and I, our two daughters and their families. The house was spotless. It is a beautiful, well appointed home. The online pictures do not do it justice. Very close to the beach and a short walk into Duck. The perfect location. I especially liked the breakdown of area. Our grandsons hung out on the bottom floor. Our granddaughters used the sitting area on the second floor, and we adults tended to stay on the top floor and expansive upper deck. Wonderful home. We would not hesitate to return here in the future.

We loved Duck Sundowner!

Thank you for making your home available, Jeff! This was one of the nicest properties we've used for our family reunion/vacation at OBX. It is a beautifully decorated house, set up nicely for a large family gathering. The distance to the beach was just a few houses away, but still close enough to enjoy a beautiful sunrise. The pool was essential to our young ones. There was ample space to either play separately or to sit for a meal together. We plan to return one day soon!

Bang for your Buck

The location was perfect! Walking distance to shopping and the beach access. The flow of the house was great too! My only complaint were the palmetto bugs! This is the first time in 13 years I have ever seen these things in the house. We watched Joe's Apartment and we got over our fears lol.

Great Location!

Fantastic stay! Everything about the house was as advertised. Great location near the village and an easy 3 minute walk to the beach. The house was beautifully kept, had everything we needed in terms of beach toys, bogie boards, kitchen supplies, etc. The pool was a perfect way to relax at the end of the day. We had one very minor issue during our staff, I called and left Jeff a voicemail and he responded within 5 minutes. Would definitely return!

Great getaway with great location

We came for a family vacation. The weather was perfect and location of the property was awesome. We could walk a little over 1/2 mile and be in the center of town. And the beach was so close! The house was really nice. Only downfall was the two bedrooms on the mid level over the car port were very warm, despite ceiling fans, air conditioning, and closing the blinds. But it was manageable. And Jeff was friendly and responded quickly to any questions. And we got to check in early! Thanks again Jeff and VRBO!

WONDERFUL MEMORIES WERE MADE AT THIS BEAUTIFUL HOUSE IN DUCK, NC

This house was perfect for us! We were 3 families with 8 adults and 6 teenagers with plenty of room to spread out. The main living area and kitchen were very big and perfect for the HUGE MEALS that we cooked every night. The extra large kitchen table was great for playing cards, Spoons, or Left, Right, Center which was so fun with our crazy group. The teenagers enjoyed their freedom on the first level with the pool table and privacy at night when the adults went to bed. The pool was wonderful to come back to after a day on the beach that was a very short walk away. I think that was one of the best things about this house was that the walk to and from the beach was so short because you could go back to the house for lunch or snacks or just whatever no big deal cause it was so close. Jeff the owner was also wonderful to deal with. Answered emails very quickly. The house was very clean upon arrival which is wonderful. We loved how close this was to the town of Duck and shopping. We went on a tour to Corolla to see the wild horses, which was awesome we highly recommend Corolla Wild Horse Tours, our guide Kevin was so nice. The guys chartered an off shore fishing trip that they booked through Sharkey's Bait and Tackle on the Sea Hag boat right in Duck. They had a great half day charter and caught a lot of fish that we cooked that night which were delish! This was our first time to the Outerbanks. We loved it. The ocean was so beautiful and clean. On our way home all the teenagers said "I don't want to wait another year to see everyone again." We are already thinking about next years vacation. This is what it's all about...................WONDERFUL MEMORIES WERE MADE AT THIS BEAUTIFUL HOUSE............THANK YOU FOR SHARING IT WITH US!

Excellent Beach House

This beach house easily accommodates 12 people. Complete with everything you will need for a great vacation spot. Host is quick to respond to questions. The home is clean and well cared for. Teenagers loved pool, beach and hot tub. Three levels is ideal so teenagers can be on first floor level and adults on top level. Deck is great. Kitchen large with big island. Best part for me was walking to the beautiful beach.

Amazing Beach Home

Just returned from a week at this beautiful beach home. The house is filled with everything you need for a great vacation. Jeff, the owner is wonderful to work with and made this rental so easy and pleasant. If you’re looking for a fabulous place to stay, steps to the beach with a great backyard pool, this is the place!
