Fyra sovrums strandhus med stort däck och bara en kort promenad till Cylinder Beach, Straddie Hotel, affärer och kollektivtrafik. Denna fastighet har totalrenoverats (slutförd november 2012) och är i princip ett nytt och modernt strandhus. Den översta nivån är vardagsrum, matsal i köket, två sovrum, 1 badrum och ett stort däck med god utsikt över havet och busken. Det finns ett valskådningstorn utanför detta däck som möjliggör ännu mer ledande utsikt över vattnet. Inre trappor leder till bottenvåningen som har två sovrum plus andra stora vardagsrum som leder till en annan balkong också med utsikt över vattnet. Tvätten och ett tredje badrum är också på denna nivå.

Funktioner: 4 sovrum (3 drottningar, 2 singlar, 3 badrum, 2 färg-TV-apparater, 2 x DVD-spelare, CD-spelare, diskmaskin, mikrovågsugn, "Nespresso" kaffemaskin, tvättmaskin, gas BBQ på övre däck.

Linne Levereras för bokningar som görs efter 1/12/18, NB. Sängar är inte gjorda och linne kan behöva återlämnas till vårt kontor när du returnerar nycklar.

A Wonderful Position

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Once again, we had a relaxing stay. Cylinder Palms is in a great location which is close to the beach and shops. The view is wonderful. We will definitely be back particularly as we can bring our dog. There were a few maintenance problems and the property management took note. The cleaners do a fine job cleaning the floors, kitchen and bathrooms but the house needs a deep clean e.g., the kitchen drawers are dirty and pillows and bed covers need replacing.

Spacious house with fabulous ocean views

Beautiful experience

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location was fantastic, view was fantastic. Some of the furniture needed updating. The view on third floor could do with replacement cushions that are stored inside when nobody in house. And the cutlery looked like it came out of an op shop. Area space was fantastic the second floor needed updated table and chairs. Would rent this property again if some of these little details were fixed.

Top views, comfort and space

My husband and I had a lovely, relaxing stay at Cylinder Palms and we both highly recommend it for couples or families as the house has two floors. It is beautifully located and an easy walk to the beach. It was also great to be able to take our dog.

Mould Problems

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had issues with the bed linen - it was extremely dirty (doona cover) and doonas and pillows that were stored in the cupboard were mouldy. We left these out on the beds so that they would be seen. I have photos if you are interested. There were broken chairs (2 downstairs and one upstairs) . There were live cockroaches and evidence of them in the kitchen drawers. We had to wash kitchen pots and pans before we used them.The house itself needs a good clean - we swept up dog hair, that must have been there for sometime. Kitchen needs a thorough clean including wiping down the cupboards. The layout of the home was fine, bathrooms were good. The real estate kept in contact with us very well, as there were roofing contractors working when we arrived, however they did not impede our booking in and were very courteous.

Straddie mini break

Verandahs great although back verandah couldn't keep a kelpie in. Layout is good having 2 separate living spaces. Young grandkids managed the walk to the beaches well.

Cylinder Palm Family of 8 holiday - 60 th celebration

Beautiful view and outlook Kitchen well equipped. Awesome art on the walls .Sadly cleanliness & maintenance lets it down considerably!!!The fans in the bedrooms all need to be replaced .The fans are old and slow - producing no air .The home needs a massive spring clean , under the beds are super dusty , bathrooms need scrubbing .We loved the design of the home - great for our family of 8 adults , toddler & dog.Having a dog friendly house is brilliant but unfortunately the outdoor furniture is covered in dog hair .We would stay again on the conditions it Is thoroughly cleaned before our arrival .I definitely know we left it cleaner than when we arrived.Please to the Owner of Cylinder Palms take these comments as constructive and act on them to preserve your stunning Straddie Beach Home

Amazing Location but property needs upgrades

Reviewer Comments: This property is in a fantastic location and is very spacious to accomodate two families comfortably.Unfortunately the property need some maintenance, furniture upgrades. The linen on the beds were damp and filthy and the couch was full of dog hair and sand. The kitchen appliances, cupboards and draws were dirty. The bedrooms came with a total of one coat hanger and the bedrooms did not have working ceiling lights or efficient fans. This property has so much potential but needs a lot of work for the cost of staying there.

Unkept and unloved house

The condition of the property is atrocious, the barbecue, you couldn’t cook on it is so filthy I do have photographs The stove is absolutely unusable grease everywhere, left the oven trays outside the Rangehood has probably not been serviced in years. It’s very very greasy and it’s got mould in it. The towels are all tatted and threadbare on the edges. The TV was so old, I couldn’t cast to it, the fans we had to clean our self. They were absolutely filthy and the remote controls were taken away from them so the only light you had in the bedrooms were bedside lamps It was such a pity because the island is absolutely beautiful so we spent most of our time away from the house would never ever stay there again I would never ever get something through ray white again. Absolutely useless Colin Minton. PS the downstairs TV didn’t work. I think the batteries probably gone in the remote control.

Excellent Location & Views

Reviewer Comments: The house was terrific, plenty of space but the kitchen could have been better equipped, plenty of crockery & cutlery but lacked pots and pans. The bifold windows and doors need some attention, very hard to open and close. The ceiling fans in the bedrooms were very much in need of a very good clean ... due to this I was rather disappointed on the cleanliness of the place. If the cleaning & maintenance issues are rectified this would be somewhere I would stay again and recommend.

Great house for a big group

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: A fabulous house that easily accommodated the 7 of us with dual living upstairs and down. Good location within walking distance to pub (all downhill) and then courtesy bus home. Has only partial sea views with a bit more from the whale watch deck. Beds comfy and decor great however fan in main room made a loud noise so very annoying. We were there in extremely hot Feb weather and although we could open up all sliding doors to verandahs, I would suggest the owners put some good ceiling fans in the living areas as it was really hot. Kitchen was well equipped with everything you need. Overall a very pleasant stay.

Beautiful location, great views, large spacious home, comfortable, great for a large group, can have a dog there. Needs some maintenance and a good spring clean. One door was jammed, ceiling fan in one room not working. Overall a great place, will be coming back.

Worth the stay + pet friendly

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great property with a open plan mirrored setup for upstairs and downstairs, which easily accommodates larger groups. Good views of water, which we could see whales swimming by. This is our second stay at this property and great for dogs. Pots and pans could use updating and wasn't the cleanest however this did not affect our amazing time at Straddie.

Nice layout but neglected in maintenance

Has rodents in ceiling, cockies in draws, disgusting mattresses. Take your own pillows! Microwave is very weak, BBQ filthy-full of gunk. We had to wash the doona covers. All lounge cushions covered in dirt and dog hair! Who lets animals on furniture in a holiday rental!?? Food and mess under every bed, chair cushion, clothing drawers layered in mould and hair and dust. Took me days the clean. Oven and range hood not cleaned in years! Such a great house- completely neglected- not surprising that it didn’t sell. Lovely neighbours- Need to take the palms out but leave the ones near the road- lost all ocean views. I’d buy this place if the property had been better maintained! When I complained about lack of cleaning- they offered to come back to clean I declined because it’s obvious that the cleaners don’t know how! They turned up anyway and proceeded to not clean- a swish and swipe didn’t cut it! Then not another word or check up from Ray White! Not even a phone call to check! And we paid 4thousand dollars!

We watched whales from the viewing platform and were greeted most mornings out the front with kangaroos. Process for check in was easy. The house had everything we needed. Only criticism would be was not overly clean(bathrooms were spotless) and the lounge was very old and uncomfortable. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay here.

Neglected

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall we enjoyed the property but after arriving we discovered nearly all the crockery to be filthy. We had to pull it out off all the draws and wash it by hand as the dishwasher was broken. Then we discovered the door of the oven was broken and the gas bottle on the bbq was empty. Also about 6 lights weren't working or had no bulbs in them at all. The fan in the main bedroom squeaked which meant you couldn't sleep with it on. For the $2100 we paid for the five night stay we would expect a tidy, clean fully functioning house. Wouldn't you?

Loads of space but needs a spring clean

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This house is very spacious over two levels and has 3 really nice, new bathrooms. However, the beds were old and hard with no choice of bed linen alternatives, the pillows were haphazard sizes and yellow inside the we had poor sleep during our stay. The majority of the furniture is old and a bit tired - looks much better in the photos. There was hardly any view from the house and deck level, you had to climb up to a whale watching tower to see any water views or whales, so the photos were a bit misleading as this was one of the reasons we chose the house. The kitchen was well equipped but the drawers were cluttered and a bit dirty inside. There are 2 large smart TVs but the top level TV wouldn't connect to the internet and didn't have an aerial so at times the free to air viewing was patchy and distorted at night, although the ABC worked all the time. The house is in a great position, up high and close to everything, it has some good bones but needs a good spring clean and de-clutter and more comfy beds.
