Detta vackra hem är mitt i hjärtat av den historiska Antietam National Battlefield! Sekunder från Nutter's Ice Cream-butik, Burkholder's Bakery, Captain Bender's Tavern, som har en fantastisk matmeny och många andra lokala butiker. Besök de många historiska områdena som omger staden som C&O Canal, Antietam National Cemetary, Boonsboro, MD och Shepherdstown, WV. Det finns en inhägnad bakgård och en sluten veranda för att lagra dina cyklar under din vistelse. Perfekt för alla!

Vårt hem byggdes ursprungligen 1856, bara 5 år innan inbördeskrigets början. Detta hem ligger några sekunder från "Big Spring", som ursprungligen var centrum för vad staden byggdes runt. Våren valdes som den var bredvid en gren av den koloniala Great Wagon Road från Philadelphia till moderna Augusta, Georgia.
Under 1900-talet byggdes fler hem, men familjerna blev mindre, och staden missades av stora motorvägar, så Sharpsburg har varit ungefär samma storlek i mer än 150 år.

Daily's Doll House

We really enjoyed the property. The home was very cozy and in close proximity to our family in the area. We would definitely stay there again.

Wonderful Stay

Our family of 4 had a wonderful stay at Daley's Doll House. It was a great location to visit Antietam and less than a 30 minute drive to Harpers Ferry National Park.

Adorable “Dollhouse” in the middle of TONS of historical sites!

The Dollhouse was perfect for us & our 2 pups! Comfortable and really close to all the Civil War sites. The Antietam Creek Winery is really close & well worth the visit especially on live entertainment nights.

Perfect for Us

This is a terrific place in an ideal location. It's within walking distance of great eateries, historical sites, and has, in fact, an interesting history itself. The furniture is comfortable, the place is cozy, and we loved the fenced-in backyard. It couldnt have been more perfect for us and our four-legged friends.

We had a great weekend! The location is easy to get anywhere. The backyard was great for our small dog, and the food in the refrigerator was a very nice touch!

Great house in a great town!

Easy check in, clean house. Good location, we spent one day in Harper's Ferry and the next checking out Antietam battlefield. We were lucky enough to meet a great couple who lived a few houses up the street who were kind enough to give us a tour around this very interesting town.

Antietam Access

Had a great time looking at the historical stuff nearby. House is a short walk down Harpers Ferry Rd to the 8th Connecticut Monument Trail and from there a great hike to to Antietam Creek and Burnside's Bridge.

Enjoyed our stay

This simple, well-organized house was excellent for our purposes. Close to numerous historical sites, C&O bike trail, ice cream shop, downtown Sharpsburg etc. Let us get a good feeling for the area which we explored by vehicle and bicycle. Had everything we needed to prepare most of our meals at the house, neighborhood quiet at night, always could park right in front of the house.

Visiting Family

This place is super well equipped and cute and just a great location. My husband is from Maryland and this was a perfect central location for us to stay that allowed everyone to come see us. Nutters is right down the street and oh my the ice cream is so good. The house had everything we needed and the neighbors were very nice. Would for sure stay here again. Highly recommend.

nice house, little extras

Coffee is provided with a coffee maker along with some light snacks and wine. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, pots and pans, etc. Everything was well kept, location was as described. The bed was very comfortable, moderately firm. We had a great stay!

Nice little place for a get-away!

Michael was very communicative and we had absolutely no problems with the booking, directions or instructions to enter the property. It was near the battlefield, hiking on the AT and dining in Shepherdstown. The kitchen was well equipped and he even had wine, OJ and some pastries for us. Overall, quite a treat!

Wonderful

This is a very comfortable and darling home right around the corner from the Antietam battlefield and close enough to VA and WV to explore. Michael's thoughtfulness in leaving wine, coffee and snacks was icing on the cake. Thank you again for providing me and my dog with a place to kick back for the week.

Perfect location

The property was just as describes in the listing. We enjoyed the fenced in yard, the house amenities and the extremely close proximity to Antietam. The entire family, including our two small dogs, felt right at home in "The Dollhouse". We were provided everything we needed for a contactless check-in process as well as everything the area had to offer. We are wanting to come back to the area again to spend more time at Harper's Ferry and would definitely book this property again.

Awesome little gem

So glad I found this after I was going to book a hotel. We had such a great time walking around the neighborhood. From the ice cream store, to bakery to restaurant. Neighbors are super nice and the house is so charming and comfortable. So much history! Thanks Michael for your hospitality, the wine cheese and all the extras that made us super comfortable!

Unique old house!

House has been modernized but you can still tell it's old by it's bones/structure, steep steps, low ceilings and overall design. Neat! Neighborhood nice and people very friendly. Historic area and we really liked exploring it, especially the Antietam battlefield and Harpers Ferry. Nutters ice cream was just a few doors down at our corner and was delicious and low priced. Battlefield fairly close too. Check in and out process easy. Overall very happy with our stay.

Perfect location

We rented this house in 2019. My husband ran the JFK 50 mile. Ran it again this year and we were thrilled to stay again. House was perfect for our needs. The only suggestion I have to improve is the need for new furniture. The fold down bed was a little wobbly and didn’t want to click in place. Other than that, we will rent again.
