I love this house!

This is our second time renting this house. We love that the grill, heated pool, and waterpark tickets are included!

Gorgeous home!

I heard so many mixed reviews of the rentals in Encore Reunion. This home was as advertised-gorgeous and well appointed. Great location to all Disney parks and local grocery stores. Pretty clean except the baseboards especially behind bathroom doors. Master bed is pretty used. Felt like we were sleeping in hammocks. House a/c is not strong enough for entire house. Really needs two units for a home that size. No ceiling fans so it was very stuffy. We found a fam in a closet and that helped one room. Would definitely encourage owner to provide a fan for each bedroom to make it comfortable for people. We did not use the community amenities but they looked great. Definitely plan on renting again. As far as the rental agency-pool alarm went off at 7am our last morning due to dead battery. We could not turn it off but to keep pressing button every 30 seconds. We were trying To sleep and then pack. Loud siren sound that scared the kids to death. We called agency and it took about an hour for some one to come. That was not cool. If that had happened in the middle of the night that would have been awful. The agency was great other than this misstep. We would have appreciated quicker reply for such an annoying situation.

The Good, the Bad and the Awful

First the good. The house is gorgeous and well stocked with nice glassware, cookware and other kitchen needs. The bedrooms and bathrooms were nice and a good assortment of pillows to choose from. Now the bad. My issues are entirely with the property management company Ask Jeeves though the state of the pool may be an owner’s problem (more on that later). Check-in: The home was not ready until 9:00 at night when it was promised per the contract to be ready by 4:00. We arrived and saw the state of the home which was trashed. My kids and I could not unsee that and it colored how we felt about the house. The problem was there was NO COMMUNICATION from Ask Jeeves about the home not being ready. When I finally got through to Ask Jeeves I was told they had a large number of check-outs and check-ins that day. My answer to that is DON’T TAKE THE BOOKING IF YOU CAN’T DELIVER THE PROPERTY. They said they would call me back but NEVER DID. Not once did I get a call from them, not the next day, not until things reached a breaking point later in the week. Back to the Good: The house cleaners spent hours on the house and delivered it in exemplary condition Now the awful: the pool and lack of pool heat. There was trash at the bottom of the pool that my daughter was digging out the next day including some sharp objects. We also awoke to see that the pool was in fact green and the tiles covered with algae. A pool person finally came and cleaned the algae and “shocked” the pool on different occasions with a ton of chemicals – and we could not use the pool for hours and the chemicals caused my daughter to get a rash. I paid for pool heat in order to have a hot tub. We never had a hot or even warm tub the entire stay. This was extremely disappointing. They refunded the pool heat they charged me for but I booked a home that should have had a hot tub. Yet another thing that ruined my enjoyment of the home and our vacation. Resolution with Ask Jeeves: After numerous emails and phone calls all eating into my enjoyment of my vacation, we resolved it with a credit of ½ nights stay and a refund of the pool heat. Would I like them to reach out to me and compensate me further for the loss of use of the hot tub, and the pool when it was shocked repeatedly with chemicals and rendered unusable for hours at a time and caused a rash when used…YES. Bottom line, I will think twice before renting a property that is managed by Ask Jeeves.
