A very walkable neighborhood, great breakfast place just a 5-mi walk. The rooms were spotless. Had everything we needed and then some!

“Attention to detail” is the phrase that comes to my mind. A minimalist approach, and yet everything we could have asked for or needed was at our disposal. We stayed two very comfortable nights. Cleaner than clean. The shower was a plus! Tall and strong. We would definitely return.

This little house (an addition to a larger house in front of it) is beautifully furnished and spotlessly clean. It was comfortable and had everything we needed. I use a walker and the house was easily accessible, including the bathroom. There is a lovely patio and garden outside, plus a little "nook" next door that we didn't use. The property owner was very helpful and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Minneapolis.

The Cottage is an ideal spot for a getaway, or if you have business in the Cities. The neighborhood is safe, and quiet. Like many Minneapolis neighborhoods, it's close to parks and lakes. The property is immaculate, functional, and fun. No detail is overlooked. Extras include beautiful landscaping that adds a sense of "sanctuary" at your doorstep. Your doorstep is at the rear of the property, adding extra privacy and quiet. An extra feature is The Nook, a separate space in the garage. It's been decorated as beautifully as the Cottage, and is an extra space to nap, read, sleep, or have "away" space. We have loved every stay at The Cottage. Carolyn is an excellent host, and offers thorough information and details. She's available if you have questions or an issue (never one of those). We're always happy when there's an opening so we can take advantage of the fun we have in the TC. I highly recommend The Cottage as a place to stay. It's also close to neighborhood restaurants, and other services. You're five minutes to Minnehaha Falls or Lake Nokomis.

The Cottage is easy to find, beautifully-appointed (Carolyn has seen to every detail you can imagine), very private, and very clean. The bed is comfortable and the garden and outdoor space are gorgeous and relaxing. We ate breakfast outside each morning and grilled dinner one night. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed, and more. We will stay again when in the area.

The cottage was wonderfully decorated and had everything we needed. The lighting features added such ambiance and cheer. I loved napping in the Nordic Nook as it was so very cozy. The outdoor space is private and pretty. Rain kept us mostly inside but we'll hope for drier weather on our next visit!

Great location. Close to plenty of restaurants, a grocery store and parks. Cottage was exactly as pictured and described. Carolyn was a wonderful host. Enjoyed a couple afternoons and evenings under the pergola. Water pressure in shower was awesome.

Exceptional. The home is very tastefully decorated and comfortable. It is fully equipped with just about everything you need. The bed is comfortable. The host is very attentive without being intrusive. The garden and sitting areas beautiful and relaxing. My wife and I spent 2 1/2 weeks here and didn't want to leave. We are planning to book next time we are in Mpls. Caveat, you are near the airport but for the most part not under a flight path. You do hear the rumble of jet engines, sort of like the distant rumble of thunder. It did not bother us in the least and I am a light sleeper. It almost sounded relaxing. But I have a sister-in-law who is a bit neurotic and I know it would driver her nuts. Try it, you will not regret it.

Home away from home

I love to stay at the cottage any time I visit family in the twin cities. It's a convenient location close to the airport, lakes and anything you could need is a quick drive away. As a solo female traveler I feel safe staying at the cottage. It is tucked away behind the main house and gives a sense of privacy. I have used the separate space called the Nordic nook in the past to paint or relax. It's a great additional space when traveling. The details put into the landscaping, the space and decor are what makes it stand apart from other rentals. It really feels like a home away from home.

Tranquil Twin City Cottage!

How lovely it was to nestle into a tranquil cottage halfway between Lake Nokomis and the Mississippi. This cozy getaway was designed to ensure a very pleasant stay. It had the ambiance of a spa getaway, The space was designed to maximize efficiency and no detail appeared to be spared! Beautiful lighting, cozy linens, built-in bedside tables and much more. Host provided a rolling shopping card for guests to do grocery runs. Located very close to the airport and to to several parks and trails. Also, a quick walk to public transportation. I highly recommend this cottage, a peaceful place, indeed!

Cottage was perfect!

We were in the cities for our daughter’s graduation and the cottage was perfect for the two of us! Very clean, comfortable and nicely equipped. The outdoor space was great! We grilled out and utilized the propane fire pit on the cool evenings. Check-in was a breeze and Carolyn was very responsive to our questions. Neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. We walked to the grocery store and around the area, very safe and clean. Will stay here again in the future!

Very nice place

We loved our visit. The cottage is clean and adorable and so close to many things to see and do. We loved the ease of having many keys to use while we stayed and the Nordic nook was a very nice additional setting.

So comfy!

We needed a place to stay for the weekend of our granddaughter’s birthday. The Cottage was perfect for us. Super clean, wonderful bed, amazing shower and private and quiet. We didn’t have time to look at the Nook, but I’m sure it was just as great. We enjoyed everything!

Amazing

Excellent accommodations. Everything was thought out with the guest in mind. We were extremely busy in the land of lakes so we didn’t have much down time to relax in the Nook. It looked like a perfect place to just sit and read a book. The garden was starting to show, wish we could go back soon and see it in full bloom. It is very well designed. So many beautiful touches. Highly recommend
