Ny lista! Historic Sea Captain's House nära stranden och Acadia

Kapten Hull's House är undanstoppad i tyst och härlig liten Hulls Cove. Bara 2 / 10ths av en mil från stranden, mindre än en halv mil från Acadia National Park och några minuters bilresa till Downtown Bar Harbor. Om du tar cyklar, kan du rida från huset till Acadia.

Huset ligger på 3/4 av en tunnland bakom doftande tallskogar och närmar sig av en privat lane. Tyst en avskild med en gräsmatta för att spela spel och en väldigt stor wrap around däck perfekt för avkoppling, matsal, titta på måsar överhead eller hjort och vilda kalkoner som är frekventa besökare

En kort promenad tar dig till stranden och The Chart Room Restaurant precis vid vattnet med en minglande meny som har något för alla. Korsa vägen till "Hulls Cove General Stores" vår enda lokala närbutik där det alltid finns kaffe, hemgjorda muffins, eller sluta vid dörren till "Peppers" för glass, underlag, pizza och sallader eller att plocka upp den fria ön Explorer Shuttle och åka till stad, Acadia eller runt ön.

Kapten Hulls är ett familjehus med minnen, det tidsmässiga träverket och de solida gipsmurarna har många historier att berätta och vår familj ser fram emot att dela dem med dig.

Perfect location very close to Bar Harbor, Acadia entrance, and walking distance to lovely Hulls Cove and restaurants. Well kept home. Very comfy beds and bedding, kitchen very well stocked, and lots of space for our party of 10. Host is responsive and kind. Would be happy to return.

Quiet stay

We had a great experience here. With four adults and four kids 6 and under, it was spacious and served all our needs. The family lives behind the property and we didn’t see them at all, which didn’t bother us, but is certainly worth noting. The property owners were communicative and the house was sparkling clean.

Awesome, beautiful property with wonderful character.It was so very spacious and with everything we could possibly need and more!We had 8 adults and 4 children and we were able to close off the bedroom part of the house so that the adults did not have to worry about disturbing the sleeping children! The kitchen is set up to be very workable with multiple cooks and space for the kids to observe.The yard is lovely and we enjoyed the chickens and ducks next door.(from a respectful distance.)Trish was great with the check in and also came by to check on us. Best of all, the location is extremely close to Acadia and to Bar Harbor. There is even a small beach witihn walking distance at Hull's Cove.We would love to stay again.

Property outside of Acadia

Property worked perfectly to explore nearby Acadia and Bar Harbor. House was in clean and neat shape, worked exactly how it was supposed to. We would definitely stay again.

Wonderful stay

We filled the house with family and felt very comfortable. Beautiful home, well cared for. We even enjoyed wiffleball in the back yard. So close to Acadia and Bar Harbor. We really enjoyed it.

Great stay at the Captain’s place for a family wedding. Toddlers loved to space and the ducks walking through the yard. Perfectly situated to reach downtown without being smothered by it…..

Wonderful historic home

Our group absolutely adored this precious historic home. The kitchen and baths were fully stocked and the beds were super comfy. We would definitely stay here again. The owner, Trish, was a little gem.

Wonderful place to stay

We really enjoyed our stay. The owner provided all basic needs (paper towels, toilet paper, etc.) which was awesome because we traveled from PA to ME and we didn't have to pack these items. The house was in a great location and a nice size for our family and friends. We hope to go back sometime.

We had a great time staying at this home. It was large enough for 8 people plus 2 under the age of two. We had nearly perfect weather and slept with windows open at night. Kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to cook at home. The entrance to Acadia is about 10 minutes away and Bar Harbor is about the same depending on traffic. Bar Harbor is a great little town with ALOT of tourists and horrible parking. You also have to pay to park on the street. We visited Jordan Pond and did the hike around the lake. It was tough and long but beautiful! The parking situation there is also awful, given the amount of people. We went to the Lighthouse both day and dusk. The fog rolled in at dusk and that was definitely something to see!!! The only suggestion I have for this rental is the road leading to the house. It has several crater size holes to maneuver through and if you try to avoid them, the tree branches scratch the car. The other is the deck needs some attention where boards and nails are popping up. The very BEST part of the house was the enclosed back porch. The two twin beds are super comfy and there are windows all the way around that we left open day and night. The cross breeze was amazing. I slept there all week with one of my grands and it was honestly some of the best sleep I’ve ever had! Rent this home if you are visiting BH and/or Acadia!

Enjoyable Vacation Rental

My husband and I, along with another couple, thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Sea Captain's house. The house was clean and well stocked with everything we needed. The location is great as well, very close to downtown Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. And communication with the owner was excellent! I highly recommend this vacation rental!

Wonderful stay. Perfect location.

My family of 10 (grandparents, parents, kids) stayed here and had a wonderful time. The house was more than big enough and is in a great location to downtown and the park. The kids had plenty of room to play inside and out. The kitchen is a nice space. All amenities are in great condition.

Beautiful private country setting. The house was immaculately clean, well equipped kitchen and the beds were comfortable. We slept well every night. Highly recommended! And, we are hoping to return.

Wonderful property and comfortable amenities

We had 8 adults and 1 toddler. Location was very close drive to downtown Bar Harbor and yet away from the large crowds. House amenities were plenty, house was clean, large and very good condition. 2 1/2 bathrooms a major plus. Owner was available to help and very friendly. Would stay here again for sure. Only concern would be if it’s hot and humid, no air conditioning. Thanks Trish.

Perfect location

We stayed here for a family trip to see Acadia Mountain and experience Bar Harbor. The house was very accommodating for our party of 8 adults. It had everything we needed including coffee filters and laundry pods (it’s the little things that impress me the most)! We never felt cramped and everyone had their own bed, as I had 4 adult children staying with me. Close to the mountain and trails as well as downtown Bar Harbor. House was clean, had plenty of towels and pillows, and kitchen had everything needed to cook meals. Loved the chickens and ducks that roamed around the yard too!

Hidden Gem

The house was plenty big and accommodating. Three of us were celebrating our upcoming 60th and had a blast. The rooster crows on time at 5:30 am and is the best alarm you could have. We did have a few days of rain which kept us from enjoying the deck but we did get a couple of days enjoying it. The house was so clean and had very nice toiletries. It was well stocked. Thank you to Trish Ropp for letting us enjoy your home.
