Vårt fritidshus ligger mellan bergen och havet i hjärtat av Acadia National Park.

Upplev storslagna utsikt över Cadillac, Door, Champlain och Gorham Mountains från ditt "basläger".

Vårt hem byggdes våren 2011 och är utformat för att rymma familjesemester. En öppen planlösning möjliggör komfort och enkel samtal mellan kök, matsal och vardagsrum. Trevlig utsikt över bergen är synliga genom de stora fönstren i matsal och vardagsrum. Vi har lagt till gott om sovrum för att ge privatlivet från resten av huset.
Sängarna är inredda med högkvalitativa LL-böna sängkläder för att säkerställa den mest bekväma nätterosten. Professionella fotografier av lokala scener pryder väggarna. Två badrum har LL Bean handdukar och duschdraperier. Däcket är gjord av västra röd ceder och ser ut mot bergen och fälten. Hjort ses ofta här. Vårt hem återspeglar enkel Maine Home Design som kommer att lägga till din totala Maine Experience.
Promenera till Cadillac Mountain South Ridge Trail 5 minuter från huset. Nå parken Loop Road och Otter Cliffs / Sand Beach / Gorham Mt och Otter Cove från ett lokalt spår eller genom Blackwoods vägen. Ett stort värde för dem som vill ha effektiv tillgång till Acadia.
Vi är på busslinjen Island Explorer-bara gå nerför den korta uppfarten till Otter Creek Market för att utnyttja Free Service-kommer varje timme. Marknaden är en bekväm affär för alla nödvändigheter - en större mataffär ligger i Bar Harbor 5 miles away. Njut av stadens lekplats som också ligger mittemot Otter Creek Market. Närliggande spår tar dig till Otter Cove med mer fantastisk utsikt över bergen och havet. South Ridge Cadillac Mountain Trail går också ojämnhet från huset. Slappna av på Seal Harbour Beach som ligger bara 3 miles away. Sand Beach, Carriage Roads, Jordan Pond och flera vandringsleder och park loop loop är också relativt nära vår egendom. Vi har ett utmärkt centralt läge för att du ska kunna omfamna alla underverk i detta vackra område.

Great stay!

Great location and home! Great yards for kids. Great stars and quit. Owner went above and beyond to quickly resolve a minor issue! would describe this property as a family home in the woods but close to everything with market across the street. Slightly older home but a great home base for Acadia! Great stay!

Excellent Weekend Retreat

Myself and my three close friends enjoyed a peaceful getaway here, and the house is so well located. Walking distance to a market, easy driving to trails and sights, and on a quiet road with tranquil woods around it. No complaints.

Gorgeous property

The house was perfect for our stay! We had 8 adults in our party and every couple had spacious bedrooms. We enjoyed time around the fire pit and taking in the beautiful Fall scenery. It was very convenient to get into Acadia and only a few minutes to Bar Harbor.

Otter Cove

Had a great week on Mount Desert Island, Maine! Stayed in a house that was perfect for our large family. It was spacious, neat and clean. Our host always got back to us in a very timely fashion to any questions we had, from the booking process through our stay. Its location was in a peaceful area that was easy access to everywhere on the island. We hope to return again!

Perfect hiking family base camp.

The house had lots of room to spread out but stay together. Big open space concept living area (kitchen/dining/family room) and enough bedrooms and bathrooms for my wife and I plus our 2 adult sons and guests, and Don't forget the pup. The location is beautiful. It's set well off the road with a nice back yard and a fantastic view of Cadillac Mt. from the quiet deck. It's 10 minutes from Bar Harbor if you want to dine out or shop but far enough that traffic and crowds are left behind. If you want to hike (that was our goal) you are a 10 minute hike down the road to the Cadillac South trail head and a 2 mile hike to Thunder hole and the Gorham Mt. trail head. Although we could have taken the Free Island Express shuttle to almost anywhere on Mt Desert Island we never ended up needing it. Did I forget to mention you can get a lobster roll right across the street at the Otter Creek Market. Our only complaint (and it's not really a complaint) is that Air conditioning would have been nice cause we were there during a very hot week but there are plant of fans in the house and it cools off a bit after dark. Susan was quick to answer any questions. We are planning vacations to other National parks but if we decide to return to Acadia we would very much like to stay here again.

This location is perfect for both Acadia and Bar Harbor. Great access to trails without enduring the Park Loop Rd.

Everything we needed

Location was easy to access but set far back enough from the road that you didn't notice the cars going by. My son loved the playground we could walk to in under a minute, and the toddler toys in the back yard. Clean and comfortable. Easy 10 minute drive to Bar Harbor. Hope to stay here again soon!

Wonderful place in a very convenient location!

Clean, convenient, and pleasant place to stay, near some of Acadia's best spots (Thunder Hole, Seal Harbor, various gardens). Two doors down from a nice playground (great for the under 5 crowd) and directly across a convenient market that serves lobster dinners. What more could you ask for?

Family Trip

We had a lovely stay with all the amenities and space for a family group with multiple young children. Being so close to the Acadia Park Loop road, Island Explorer bus stop and a quick drive into Bar Harbor made our week easier and more flexible with time. Lots of great space for the kids and everyone to enjoy! Thank you so much.

Good not great

The location of the property is amazing. Next to the otter creek general store, 3 miles from seal harbor beach, which is amazing at low tide! Bar harbor center is just 10-15 minutes down the road. Also close to trail heads as well. Unfortunately there is a lot left to be desired in the house itself. It is well equipped with all the kitchen essentials, but everything is dated and well used, and it is almost impossible to cook on the pans. The oven, stove and toaster are super power and took awhile to get used to, not a problem there. The grill is falling apart, the covers for the burners are absolutely destroyed, there is rust everywhere. We love to grill, so that was a huge disappointment. If you are planning on getting a good nights sleep in a comfortable bed, you won’t get it here. The beds are really terrible, the most uncomfortable bed I’ve ever slept in, as well as everyone else in the house. The pull out couches are disgusting, stained mattresses, no cushion, smelled of moth balls. The furniture is all dated and stained and need to be replaced. We did spend a decent amount of time in the house because of the weather, if it was nicer out we wouldn’t have been there much due to being uncomfortable, even sitting on the couches. There was also a section of dvds and vhs but no way to watch them, and most of the games left didn’t have the full game pieces. Overall it was a good stay, really needs updating and it would be spectacular.

Birthday trip with the grandchildren

Easy to find and check in, it was clean and roomy, backyard is large and has beautiful wildflowers. Location was convenient but also private, 15 minutes to downtown Bar Harbor and easy access to Acadia and trails.

Great Stay

This house has amazing views of the mountains and the trail heads are a short walk away. The living room is perfect to hang out in after a long day outside and the yard is big enough to set up games like corn hole. It was a great place to stay, rooms were comfortable and clean, and the kitchen had everything we needed.

House in Otter Creek

House needs updating and new furniture. Kitchen needs an overhaul of utensils and pots and pans. In general the house needs TLC from owners. The location is great and the owners were very responsive to our communication.

Great location in Acafia

This property has great access to all that Acadia has to offer. We appreciated the privacy of its location in Otter Creek Village and the convenience of the market across the street. The house is pretty new and rooms are spacious This was a great home base for our family.

Sue is a full time Registered Nurse currently working in Care Management. She has lived in Bar Harbor for 25 years. Sue is passionate about nature and outdoor sports and can often be found running, hiking, biking, cross country skiing, swimming, boating or frolicking with her children in Acadia.
Kevin is owner of a Local Plumbing and Heating business. He was born and raised in Bar Harbor and is the sixth generation of his family to live here. He is a true Mainer. Kevin has a wealth of local knowledge and is a good source for current events. We enjoy providing a nice space for families to create and enjoy Acadia adventures for wonderful memories as we have!
