I believe this was our 5th year in a row and we are booked again for next year. We love the size how you can have a large group and not feel crowded. Everything is beautiful from the view to the indoor pool and the newly added hot tub. The hosts are great and always respond quickly.

Stupendous, is the only word I can think of that captures the entirety of our stay at the Land Yacht. Hands down, this was the best vacation rental we ever experienced and after 30 years of vacation rentals that means a lot. As a multi-generational family of 13 spanning ages 2 to 72, I cannot think of a better place to enjoy time together. The Land Yacht boasts a very spacious living area that allows for quality time together while also providing quiet places for alone time. The pool, in particular, allowed for hours of fun and frolicking and was especially appreciated when the weather excluded outdoor activities. The setting is gorgeous and private; hours were spent in the large solarium, relaxing, reading, playing games and observing the vista and wildlife. We were even visited by a pair of playful porpoises. The location is excellent, only a short drive to Peggy's Cove and Lunenburg and a 10 minute drive to Sobeys and the liquor store. We went on a beautiful hike to Polly's Cove and enjoyed swimming in Long Lake, both very close to Peggy"s Cove.Thomas and Melanie are the quintessential hosts. Communication from the time of reservation until the day of disembarkation was prompt and helpful. Thomas's tour of the premises on the arrival date was very useful. The house was spotless and the kitchen and pantry were well-stocked.In all, we spent a perfect week at the Land Yacht and created many lasting memories.

Great place to stay while visiting Nova Scotia

Lots of amenities. Owners very helpful in recommending local restaurants. Enjoyed finding mussels and sea glass on the little beach as well as the antics of the "rock" beavers. The heated pool was a plus. Absolutely wonderful views of the bay.

This was the best experience and rental I've ever experienced! It is a beautiful home with plenty of room for mutli-family or, in our case, a group trip. Waking up to the most amazing scenery is something I will miss. The Solarium was a prime spot to drink coffee, read a book, or watch the sun rise and set. There is a heated indoor pool that can be enjoyed by all. The most impressive - the dining table expands so it can fit easily 14 people. We were able to enjoy dinner together which was incredible.But what I would say is the best part of the trip are the hosts. Melanie and Thomas are quite literally the nicest people. Anything that I had questions on, places to go, where to eat, they had recommendations. They were so communicative from the day we booked (a year ago) to the day we arrived and throughout our stay. I can't wait to come back and experience the land yacht again and see Thomas and Melanie again. :-)

March Break Staycation

We had an absolutely wonderful time on the Land Yacht, the kids used the pool everyday and we all thoroughly enjoyed the perfect weather from the solarium :) The Land Yacht in an incredible spot and we will definitely be back again.

Fantastic family getaway

We had a wonderful time swimming in the large indoor, heated pool! We ate and relaxed and watched the beautiful view changing right outside the window. Perfect winter holiday getaway.

Wonderful properly with great water views, quiet area but accessible to central Nova Scotia. New hot tub outdoors, wonderful indoor pool and area. Wrap around enclosed deck for 180 degree views if St Margaret’s Bay Very nice landscaping and grounds. Communication with the owners (Thomas and Melanie) was top notch pre, during and post stay.

Great place to meet friends to play board games and swim in the pool. My second time there ! 🤩
