A new, almost 70 square meter vacation apartment has been created in my old clay house. It accommodates six people in two rooms. For less demanding guests, it can accommodate even more.
Here you can treat yourself to a break in the Uckermark region, enjoying the peace and quiet of nature and the expansive landscape. A large, naturally landscaped property offers plenty of space to be outdoors. For your relaxation, I offer wellness massages and sound massages with singing bowls.
You enter the apartment through a kind of winter garden, where you can also sit. Downstairs in the house is the sunny kitchen with a dining table and a combined living/bedroom. A somewhat steep, winding staircase leads to the attic. There is another room with a 1.40 meter wide bed, a single bed, and a pull-out couch. There is also a mezzanine for smaller guests with two mattresses and a seating area.
The attic also contains the bathroom with a bathtub.
The old clay house has low doors. The rooms downstairs are pleasantly cool in summer. Nothing here is standardly furnished; much is self-built. Not always perfect, but originally designed. I lived in this apartment myself for a long time and have now moved into the former, smaller vacation apartment in the same building.
I use environmentally friendly materials whenever possible. The house is centrally heated with wood pellets and a solar system, is insulated with sheep's wool and hemp, and the wastewater is treated in a reed bed treatment plant. A photovoltaic system provides sufficient electricity when the weather is right.
The boiler room is located in the house part of the vacation apartment, and during the heating season, I have to refill the wood pellets about every three days. I'm currently using one room as a storage room for things I rarely use. I discuss it with my guests if I need to go through the hallway of the vacation apartment. Some of my things will also remain in the conservatory area—for example, my freezer and some property supplies.
Guests often come with dogs, and indoor cats are allowed in the vacation apartment. Anyone allergic to these animals should look for alternative accommodation.
The approximately 3,000 square meter property is landscaped in a natural way, and many areas are not mowed. For my guests, there are covered seating areas, a campfire site, and, above all, plenty of green space. A well-maintained path system leads to important places. This is a habitat for many animals – birds, hedgehogs, lizards, frogs, and grass snakes all find suitable habitats. Unfortunately, tree frogs and toads have become very rare due to the drought of recent years.
In spring and autumn, cranes rest in the surrounding fields, and some are also here in summer. You also have a good chance of observing sea eagles in the nearby forest.
You can also use your time here to find a new direction in your life. As a coach and psychological counselor, I can support you in this.
Crises of all kinds offer the opportunity to make changes – with support, this is easier. I particularly enjoy supporting people who want to give their dreams more space in their lives or treat themselves with more compassion.
... Then a free preliminary telephone consultation is a good idea.
I have completed training as a psychological counselor, coach, certified social worker, wellness and massage therapist, and nurse.
An organic farm in the village regularly sells its products. The nearest small shop, a bakery, and a butcher are located in Fürstenwerder, about 8 km away. For larger shopping trips, you should drive to Prenzlau, Woldegk, or Feldberg, 20 km away.
Vacation with your pet: Pets are welcome – multiple dogs are welcome, and dogs over 20 kg are also allowed – unfortunately, this isn't advertised directly on the holiday apartment. They are, of course, allowed in the vacation apartment, and the property is well fenced.
Sometimes other guests with dogs or people who are afraid of dogs are on the farm, as there is a garden shed as a second accommodation. Therefore, free running for dogs on the property may only be possible by arrangement and therefore for a limited time. There is a small separate exercise area – although it is still overgrown with ivy.
My little dog often enjoys visits from other dogs. She gets along well with most of our guest dogs. Otherwise, we have to keep them separate. If necessary, I can look after your dog if you want to be away for a longer period without him.
The beautiful Uckermark region has a lot to offer, especially for nature lovers – wide fields, forests, and beautiful lakes invite you to walk, bike rides, swim, and go boating. You can also be at the Baltic Sea or Berlin in two hours, and the very clean Feldberg Lakes are a good 20 km away.
