Det är den perfekta staden att göra som din hembas. Eftersom byn har utsikt över Kohala-kusten och är skyddad av bergen, hittas något av det bästa vädret på ön här! Temps är konsekvent under 80-talet året runt. Regn är ibland och när det händer, gläder vi oss alla! Natttid sjunker in på 70-talet och under vintermånaderna, till 60-talet. Waikoloa Village får stora vindar, varför de flesta lägenheter och hus inte har luftkonditionering. Öppna bara alla fönster och dörrar så får du en underbar korsbris!

Vad ska man göra här?

Du ligger en kort promenad från Waikoloa Village med en livsmedelsbutik KTA. Detta är den perfekta lilla stadsmarknaden med en slaktare, deli, bageri plus färska öfrukter och grönsaker. Om du har glömt något har KTA också peronalartiklar / toalettartiklar. I samma köpcentrum finns ett kafé, bank, en matplats med mexikansk, kinesisk mat och ö-stil. Dessutom en underbar matplats som heter Pueo's med en happy hour från 17-18. Missa inte Waikoloa Restaurant & Bar happy hour eller deras kereokekväll!

Letar du efter fler matalternativ? Kör vägen till stranden så hittar du Tommy Bahamas, Ruth Chris, Roy's, Tropical Ale House och Lava Lava Beach club med restauranger vid havet.

Behöver du få en shoppingfix i? Njut av dig själv i King & Queens-butikerna där du hittar Tiffanys, Na HoKu, Macy's, konstgallerier och mer. Dessutom en biograf för dessa keiki medan du handlar!

Du bör den korta 20 minuters körningen uppför berget till staden Waimea där du hittar ett hantverksbryggeri, Big Island Brewhaus, med deras fantastiska öl och glöm inte att prova deras fiskbitar! Waimea erbjuder också shopping, en bondemarknad och vacker frodig utsikt.

Ta dig ner till Kona där du kan njuta av Kona Brewing Company, stränder, lokala butiker och promenera ner Ali'i Drive bredvid havet. Glöm inte att stanna vid Costco, Target eller Walmart medan du är i Kona.

Att komma till andra sidan ön är lätt från Waikoloa. Hoppa bara på Saddle Road och gå till Hilo. Du ser hur mångfaldig ön reser över Saddle Rd där det är lavafält på vardera sidan och känns som månen. Men när du närmar dig Hilo ��r den grön och frodig! På östra sidan av ön, kolla in Akaka Falls, Waipi'o Valley, Volcano Winery och naturligtvis Volcanoes National Park.

Waikoloa Village Golf Course ligger precis bredvid lägenheten! Det designades av Robert Trent Jones Jr och är en par 72. Det spelar upp till 6 791 meter och ligger på 1000 ft höjden med utsikt över den vackra Kohala kusten. Du kan få rabatterade priser som gäst på lägenheten. Det finns andra vackra golfbanor i området: Makani Golf Club, Hamakua Country Club, Kona Country Club, för att nämna några.

Stränder!

Härliga stränder ligger bara några minuter bort. A-Bay är en favorit med en sandstrand som har en gradvis vatteninträde. Beach 69, Beach 49 och Hapuna State Park ligger alla inom 15 minuter från lägenheten.

Love that there’s amenities in the unit, though larger size shampoo and conditioners would be nice for those staying longer. Used beach items every time!! Great.

The host did not contact me in advance, and I had no contact information. After a 6-hour flight, I had to spend half an hour on the phone with a Vrbo agent to obtain the instructions to access the unit. Additionally, the bathroom was not well-cleaned. I had booked the property for two adults, but despite the listing stating that towels would be provided, there was only one set. There was also only one small pack of low-quality shampoo/conditioner for the entire stay. Although a coffee maker was advertised, there were no coffee pods provided, rendering it useless. Moreover, there wasn’t even a single water bottle available. Considering these issues, the property felt very overpriced.

Location, Location, Location!

The view from this Waikoloa Condo's lanai is second to none! From enjoying the star filled sky over a morning cup of coffee to the colorful sky at sunset with the Pacific ocean as your backdrop . . . nothing can compare. The unit has everything you need for a day at the beach (chairs, snorkel gear, mats, cooler), a generous supply of towels, and all of the necessities to make your visit seem like home. We highly recommend this condo for your next Big Island getaway.

Cozy and relaxing

My husband and I had a great stay in Waikaloa Village. Loved that it was away from the busyness of Kona but still super close to drive to everything and not feel so removed from it all. Loved the beaches and shopping that were close by. The grocery store down the street was nice and convenient. We enjoyed cooking breakfast and having coffee on the lanai every morning. Our stay was very refreshing. Would definitely stay again.

Great location

We’ve stayed in other units in this complex and love the location. Watching the sunset is spectacular. Kitchen supplies were great and other than not having dishwasher detergent for the first 4 days, everything else was there. The cable didn’t work in the living room, and that was fixed within a few days. The kitchen sink wouldn’t drain, and we didn’t hear from the management company for over 24 hours after we’d left a message. Luckily my husband cleared the pea trap himself and that took care of the problem. The floors weren’t very clean. I wiped up some water on the bathroom floor the day we checked in and the towel was dirty when I picked it up. Some things that could use improvement: an umbrella for the lanai table to allow sitting on the lanai in the evening. It’s too hot and there’s no protection from the sun. Outdoor chaise lounges would be really nice too. There needs to be a curtain on the very large floor to ceiling window near the kitchen. No privacy. We would definitely stay here again, so none of these issues were concerning enough to cause significant disappointment. It’s a good location with good amenities.

The property was a nice location walking distance to a grocery store and a few shops. Great views of the golf course and ocean. The place could use a little love and deep cleaning. I had to clean the bathroom so that I felt comfortable using it.

Peaceful golf course beautiful ocean view

We really enjoyed staying in this condo. It’s beautifully decorated, with all the things you need to live here. The golf course, swimming pool, grocery store and restaurants are very conveniently located. We loved how close Waikoloa Resort beach was, as well as the The Queens Market Place there. Jane, the manager, was very nice and helpful with any questions or concerns that we had. The only issue we had was that the bed was a little to hard for us. Overall though, its a great place to stay.

Great location and condo

Pre-arrival info was very helpful as was the personal phone call to make sure all my questions were answered. The unit was located in a quiet, peaceful neighborhood with a lovely view of the golf course and ocean. I rarely used the air conditioner because there was a cool breeze every evening. I highly recommend this condo.

Lovely views and convenient location, but would not stay here again.

The property is somewhat dated and needs some TLC. Some of the cook top burners did not work. Numerous windows would not open or close completely due to rust. Mainly the bathroom window would not close, and therefore it was cold and windy in the bathroom. There were only 2 thin worn face towels in the unit. There was virtually no beach equipment, except in the owners area which had a Keep Out sign. This felt very unwelcoming.

Good value, comfortable stay, great view.

Good value, clean, great sunset view. Somewhat dated building and village complex but unit was nicely updated, air-conditioned and bug-free. Information within the unit lacking or too vague with regard to things like wireless, pool location and expected role in laundry/incremental laundry fees. Kitchen simply adequate. Lacks a BBQ and any beach/recreation extras beyond towels. Thank you for the recycling area! Nice to have grocery and a few restaurants nearby given its 30m from Waikoloa Resort area and beach. Alert: On the exterior stairwell to this 2nd floor unit, we found ourselves constantly tripping on the top step whether a raised stair edging or a higher stair than the others. Overall, we were happy with our stay here.

Nice condo with issues

The condo was comfortable with great views. However, on day one we found the shower drain was clogged. On day 3 we had refridgerator and window blind issues. The refridgerator wasn’t cooling or freezing properly and the bedroom mini blind was stuck in the down position. The drain and fridge were fixed but the mini blind wasn’t. Then with 3-4 days left of our stay we started finding roaches in the living room, kitchen counter and kitchen drawer. I understand that things happen and maybe they all just happened at once. The management company was very responsive but these are things you don’t want to deal with while you are on vacation. The initial rental process was confusing along with confusing follow up communication from the management company. There was also a late booking fee that I wasn’t informed of. I booked almost a month in advance. You would think that getting a renter would be better than letting it sit vacant but I was penalized for renting the condo. I was also told that the damage deposit was refundable but it turns out it doesn’t appear to be refundable. These issues were inconvenient but Hawaii is an awesome place to visit and we had a great time. Hopefully the management company can fix the issues with then condo and their confusing communications.

This is a wonderful one bedroom condo and one of the few in the area that has air-conditioning! In all honesty though, you don't need it once you open up the large lanai doors and front door and get an amazing cross breeze. The views from this condo are just beautiful as you can see up and down the coastline!
