Had stayed in the complex previously and loved it. The reason we chose this unit was the third floor location and larger deck with ocean view. Would definitely return just for those sunset views.

Beautiful View

The view from the balcony is spectacular! We were pleasantly surprised with an amazing fireworks show from the balcony on July 4th and enjoyed our coffee there every morning. The condo is nicely decorated and comfortable. The kitchen was fully stocked with all that is needed to prepare meals. The location overlooking the pool was a plus for use with our grandchildren and outdoor grilling. During our stay we had a drain issue in the front shower. The management company was able to correct the issue within an hour of our call. Great location for our amazing vacation!

Beautiful unit, very comfortable, fully equipped in all aspects. Plenty of beach gear, great ocean views from patio! Can be two separate units with common living room and kitchen, best configuration & layout in Grand Champions from our perspective - visit multiple times per year, great time as always! We have typically stayed at Grand Wailea when we visit Maui, and this was our first time staying somewhere other than a resort (on any of the islands). The condo was very clean, and had everything we needed. There were no maintenance concerns, and we had no needs during our stay. We stayed for two full weeks. Parking was easy and convenient (although it's important to note that the assigned parking space is on the "other" side of the building (not the side when you first drive through the front gate; this caused a bit of confusion when we first arrived, but we figured it out quickly). The lanai is amazing. We ended up staying out there most of our days. We had sun when we wanted it, and then we could unroll the shades when we wanted a break. The view was better than we expected. With binoculars, we were also able to see plenty of whale activity as we relaxed out there. The actual view was better than I expected after seeing the photos. If you like watching sunsets, you'll be able to get a beautiful, direct view every night.It's a very reasonable (short, but hilly) walk over to the Shops at Wailea, where there is plenty of great dining and shopping. There are also several other restaurants worth checking out within walking distance separate from the S@W. We did rent a car, which made it easy to get to Kihei for groceries (and plenty of other restaurants). South Maui is my favorite part of the whole state, and we are definitely considering returning to this property the next time we plan a trip to Maui!

Good for the price

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We came to town for a wedding. Most of the hotels were too expensive and we like to have more space and feel like a home. This is a great place to stay. There was construction going on in one of the buildings but wasn’t that bad. It is an older building but clean and nice.

Relaxing getaway

Enjoyed the condo layout, especially the lanai with shade awnings! View was great and place was quiet (despite being near the pool). We appreciated the beach chairs and umbrellas. Location was great and enjoyed morning walks around the area. Perfect place for a relaxing vacation.

Cozy gem in gorgeous Wailea

My friends and I really enjoyed getting into vacation mode quickly upon checking in to this lovely condo. It was clean, spacious and comfortable on all levels. Morning coffees on the deck overlooking the pool and ocean beyond set the tone for each wonderful day we spent in Maui. It was so handy having the beach chairs, towels and umbrella provided to us. I'd love to stay here again one day and would definitely recommend to friends.

Great Wailea Condo!

The condo itself, along with its stellar views, was exactly as shown in the photos. Plenty of space, well equipped kitchen, a bounty of beach towels, chairs, and other beach items. Very clean throughout, and the property itself is really nice and easy to get to and close to beaches and restaurants.

Perfect for Family

This was the perfect stay for our family! My husband and I had plenty of space from our teenage boys, both had their own bed and separate bathroom. This unit has beautiful views of the sunsets and ocean! Great spot, close to shopping, and in a safe neighborhood.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We just had a wonderful two week vacation on Maui. We booked our condo last year while staying in a different unit which was not available this year so we rented this unit next door. This is a 3rd story unit, so the million dollar view from the large lanai overlooking the pool and BBQs was amazing. However the unit has many features that need updating. The furniture is older, not very comfortable and in need of a cleaning. The air conditioners were ok but the ceiling fans were loud which was a problem at night. The screen doors and sliders didn’t slide well. The slider coverings were very hard to raise and lower. The beach equipment was in poor condition. Umbrella was broken, sand chairs had broken straps, the ice chest was small and falling apart. Aside from all of this we had an enjoyable, much needed vacation of relaxation but others may be concerned of these negatives qualities. We will be looking for a different unit to rent next year.

Spectacular view

Spacious for our family of three. Our first time staying in Wailea and we absolutely loved it, especially Ulua Beach. Surfaces and linen were clean and the appliances worked adequately. Carpet and furniture were dingy and mattresses were not great. Screen door closer is spent, so it kept slamming shut (sorry neighbors) and even hit us a few times. Beach chairs were great, but boogie boards and fins were thrashed. My biggest complaint was the master bath tub wasn't draining so I pulled a baseball sized wad of hair out of it (disgusting). Also should mention the cockroaches, it's Hawaii so not out of the ordinary. Given all that, we would stay here again, but would hope the property manager would put some effort into the upkeep.
