Great spot for a family getaway

Our family of 4 had a great stay. It's a very good location. The property is a beach bungalow, a bit smaller than the pictures make it out to be. It could honestly use some updating, and a good window cleaning, for the price but served us well with small kids running around. Would've liked to have been able to use the front yard for badminton with the kids, but there was a pickup truck parked in the middle of it. I also wasn't very happy with the check in process. I booked through VRBO which I know has strict privacy protocols, they encourage you to communicate only through their platform, but the property managers required that I take a picture of my self and my drivers license, and text to them, prior to giving us the entry code. I didn't much care for that, but what am I gonna do, I just drove the family all the way there. We had a great time overall, but would probably book a different property the next time we visit Frisco.

Pilot's Cove Review

The location was great - short walk down the road and over the dune to the beach. The deer visited every day. The house and furnishings have seen better days. The only major complaint would be the area rug in the kitchen which could stand a good scrubbing -- not very clean.

Perfect beach house

This property was the perfect place! So close to the beach, great kitchen and grill, and instantly felt like home! Stayed home a few days after too much sun and it was just so cozy and tranquil. Very quiet and private. Would definitely recommend!

The house was super clean, and it was perfect for our family. Very Cozy, and it was super close to the beach. The area was super quiet and kid-friendly. I will come back to this house anytime. Thank you for letting us stay.

Great Family Getaway

We loved our time at the Pilot’s Cove house! Victoria was great to work with from the beginning answering questions and making sure we had everything we need for our stay. The house is in the perfect location in a quiet neighborhood with only a short walk to the beach. Beach chairs, umbrellas and some beach games were all provided which was appreciated by our group. The outdoor shower made it easy to rinse off after coming home from the beach as to not track sand in the house. We utilized the kitchen several nights and loved that most of what we needed was already there. Overall, we would highly recommend this house to other guests!

Close to the beach, has everything you need!

We loved our stay at Pilot's Cove! Only a block from the beach, and a great spot nestled between the off-road vehicle access and the lifeguard beach areas in Frisco! The cottage was really well stocked in terms of kitchen supplies, and they even had some beach supplies in terms of extra beach umbrella, boogie boards, and lawn/beach games! The cottage also is only 10 mins from a grocery store, and close to the Hatteras-Ocracoke ferry, so you can go early and beat waiting in line. Highlight was definitely getting to see some sea turtles hatch from one of the nesting sites. Would happily come back and stay again!

Excellent Cottage in Frisco

We really enjoyed our stay. The property owners were caring and responsive. The cottage was clean and comfortable. It was a short walk to the beach and a quick jaunt in the car to local shopping. We would certainly be willing to stay at Pilot’s Cove again in the future.

good times

We had a very nice time - good place for us - clean, ready for us, and we liked that you are flexible on not having to be there for a week. Only concern is that there is no information on how to recycle stuff. It is irresponsible to not have a way or at least information on how to recycle. People use tons of bottles, cans, plastic, etc a week at the beach. I ended up bringing home a huge bag of recyclables to take care of at home.

Beautiful home and great owners!

We very much enjoyed our stay at Pilot's Cove. The property was in great condition, well described by the ad, and the owner's were very interactive and obviously cared a lot about the house! The house was stocked with pots, pans, crock pot, cups, utensils, etc. They even had beach accessories and bikes, etc. If you've never been to Hatteras (it was our first visit) be prepared for the hike over the dunes to the beach from the house, especially if traveling with children. Nothing but glowing reviews here!

Just as advertised

This property was clean, Victoria was a wonderful owner, the beds were comfortable, the AC was cold.and we walked to the beach every day! Quiet neighborhood. The house was just as advertised/pictured. We had 7 adults for four days(of the 7 days). Just need an extra chair for 7 around the dining table. Only disappointment is the outside shower is not enclosed so you can’t take Full showers outside.

Piilots Cove is one of the cleaninest homes i have ever rented....great location....easy walk to the beach and the owners are very informative and helpful...cant wait to come back!!

Perfect Family Beach House!

We couldn’t have been happier with our stay here! We visited with 2 adults and 7 kids. There was more than enough room for all of us. The house was so clean and comfortable. It was stocked with everything we needed. Loved that the kids had a front yard to play in and we felt safe letting the older ones walk down the street to the beach by themselves. Enjoyed the privacy of the beach here. Not so many people piled on top of each other. Bobby, the owner, was fantastic and we learned we were the first renters since they had purchased the property. We made a few suggestions to make it even better and he immediately got to work adding the things we mentioned. We highly recommend it and look forward to staying here again one day!
