The Sweet Escape was very nice. It was big enough for the whole family to be together and yet everyone still had a private area. I think our favorite space was the back deck with the firepit both mornings and evenings.

We enjoyed our stay last year, so we booked the house again!Everyone had their own bedroom and bath. The TV room was perfect with the oversized couch and large TV. The Kitchen was well stocked, and a kitchen table for eating and Dining table to play games.Looking forward to next years stay.

This was a terrific vaca home for our family! The location is beautiful and a quick drive to the Territory amenities. The kitchen is large and well stocked with kitchenware. The high ceilings, spacious windows, large bedrooms and bathrooms, multiple social areas indoors and outdoors, hot tub and lawn made everyone very comfortable! It is very clean and well maintained. Communication with the owner was prompt, and access and use are explained clearly. We would stay here again!

Family reunion

The home was wonderful and the amenities were great. Especially the access to the Territory Owners Club---swimming pool and fitness center. Everybody loved the hot tub and the pool table.

Great family experience

Place for all 10 of us to play games together. Also provides a space for the teenagers to hang out together in the basement. Has everything one needs in the kitchen. All the things to do at the clubhouse ten minutes away is a big plus for the kids 9-22 in the family.

Family get together

The only concern we had were the showers. The floors were very slippery and almost dangerous. There were some no slip strips but they did not cover enough of the surface. Overall we loved the building and the spaciousness. Even with so many people it never felt like there was a crowding of spaces. We loved it!

Lots of rules

This property is nice but there are a lot of rules and kinda ridiculous ones too. You can only use up to 8 trash bags but they only give you six. The toilet is the Scott very cheap paper. The layout on the main floor is very odd but the downstairs is very nice. The kids loves which is the main reason we go

Spacious and Accommodating

We had a great stay at The Sweet Escape with our multi-generational family. The house was clean and accommodated all of us comfortably with several spaces to hang out and enjoy. Great communication with easy arrival and departure instructions. We will be back!

Perfect for Family Holiday

Our extended family of 11 stayed here in December and the place was perfect! Even though the weather outside was frightful, there was so much right on site to keep everyone entertained. We especially enjoyed the pool table, hot tub, fire place, and big dining room table for family games. It was also great to use the pool and game room at the club house. The beds were all very comfortable and well-arranged in the house so that families could claim some private space and still hang out together in the shared areas. All around a wonderful place for our family to celebrate the holidays!

Thanksgiving Holiday

Overall the house was large and there was plenty of room for our large family. The kitchen was well equipped and had everything we needed to prepare a large Thanksgiving meal. Everything was clean, except for the floors. They were very dirty and the carpeting also is very dirty and stained. Everyone's socks were black.The family room downstairs was spacious and nice for the kids to hang out. Everyone liked the pool table. The host was very responsive with questions.

Book club retreat

We enjoyed this property very much! It has one more bedroom than we anticipated, which was perfect for our party of six. The kitchen was spacious and easy for all of us to navigate to prepare meals.

This was our third stay at this property. We are a group of friends that visits every year.

The property is great and accommodates our group of 10. The only issue we have is the heating system. Hope the owners address this.

High School Girlfriends

We fully enjoyed our stay at Galena Territory again this year! This is our 3rd year in a row at the Territory's, and the 1st time at this house, which was Exceptional. Kitchen, Dinning Room, large Family Room and 6 bedrooms, what more could you ask for. Very quite area and private home, we enjoyed the surroundings. Looking forward to stay at this home again. Family Retreat

Sweet Escapes is an amazing! The house was clean, spacious and accommodations were perfect for 5 couples. We sat around the fire pit, rented a pontoon, some went into Galena to shop, we played bags (we brought), played games, enjoyed the hot tub, and just enjoyed being together. Everyone wants to come back next year! Thank you for a wonderful experience’

We live in Dubuque, Iowa and come over frequently to this area to relax.
