Perfect North Woods Getaway

What a perfect Thanksgiving getaway in the middle of the forest. Very peaceful. The owners are very responsive and the house had everything you could ever need.

Great stay!

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful house! Everything was as described in the listing, if not better. Communication with the owner was easy and fast. The view out to the small lake was perfect, and we enjoyed being able to use the paddle boat and kayaks. Super close to town but felt quiet and remote. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again!

This place is a little piece of heaven

We loved staying here with our group. It is such a short drive into Minocqua downtown. The lake is so nice to swim & watch the sunrise on the dock. The house is fully equipped with everything we needed! We are already talking about renting this home again next summer!

Family Vacation

We had the best time staying at Northern Delight! Our three boys didn’t want to leave!We had so much privacy and everything we could have wanted to do was provided for us! It was a quick drive away from town and we stayed up at the fire. When the weather was cooler we played pool and listened to the many selections of vinyls :)

Great weekend away!

House was in great shape! Plenty of room for my husband and I and our three kids. We went in the winter and since the property is right on a small lake, we got to ice fish with easy access to the house. Will definitely book again! Thank you!

Arbor Vitae Getaway

We had a great trip and the place was perfect. We enjoyed the nature of the place and just relaxing. The games and access to the lake were perfect. Everyone had a blast catching some fish and overall just enjoyed the peace and quiet. Was very relaxing and everything we had hoped for a family getaway!! Thanks

Peaceful paradise stay

Our family from Illinois and Iowa truly enjoyed our stay in Arbor Vitae. The house was so accommodating and had everything we needed. We took advantage of all the water sports (kayaks, paddle boards, canoe, paddle boat, and water mats). We also had fun tournaments with the Baggo game. The fire pit was so and relaxing each evening. We loved the location as it was so close to everything we wanted to do.

Amazing!

The house was lovely and the decor was really beautifully curated. We really enjoyed the recreational room downstairs and the sauna. It was cold the weekend we were up, but we still got to enjoy the nice outside fire pit surrounded by string lights. Would highly recommend this home for your next stay in Minocqua!

Perfect trip up north!

Can’t say enough good things about our stay! Chris was wonderful with communication, regardless of how small the issue. The property itself is wonderful. The nonmotorized lake is wonderful for canoeing and kayaking. Great fishing just off the pier, and lots of lakes within a short drive. The house is extremely comfortable, and we loved the Northwoods cabin vibe. Highly recommended!

Stunning!

We absolutely loved staying at the northern delight. We come up north a couple times a year and have been doing it for many years and this is by far one of the best places that we have stayed at. The house had every amenity that you could think of, the house was so spacious, beautiful and inviting! The beds were so comfortable! We loved all the outdoor/lake equipment that we were able to use. Definitely looking forward to our next trip and hoping this cabin is available when we come up north again! Thank you so much for sharing your home with us, we had such a great time!

WONDERFUL MIDCENTURY CABIN!!!

We loved staying here - the deco was amazing in the property and the house had so many wonderful things to do! The bar, pool table and hangout downstairs was fantastic. The kitchen was fully stocked. The garage was full of fun - paddleboard, cornhole, floating pads with kayaks and paddle boat outside and a sauna inside to warm up. All the rooms were comfy and a bonus was outside and indoor towels were provided. We would love to visit again the place was great & excellent communication with the owner. Thanks for hosting us!

Fun family time!

We had a wonderful vacation with family! Tons of stuff to do inside and out! We enjoyed fishing, swimming, kayaks and other water toys, campfires as well as pool, games and coloring inside. Location was so convenient, being close to so many things, but house felt very private and we pretty much had the lake to ourselves! The house was clean, fully stocked and loved the decor. It was pretty humid the first couple days, so air conditioning would have been ideal, but it was still a fantastic time!:)

Perfect place for family getaway

Our family of 9 had a fantastic stay at Northern Delight! The 70s decor made us all smile from the moment we walked in. Paddle boards, kayaks, fire pits, sauna, game room with bar, pool table and so much more to kept us all busy our entire stay. Loved this place on a peaceful wooded lake. An absolutely perfect family getaway!

Weekend Retreat

Great location and scenery. Well-maintained interior and plenty of entertainment on-site prompted by frigid temperatures. Ample space for 5 guests. Could easily accommodate 10-12 guests that included couples.

Great stay and weekend getaway

We had a great time and for early November we were spoiled with low 60's for the highs and nice nights that weren't too cold. We missed most of the foliage of the area as very little colors were left in the area. One small bummer was that a lot of the local restaurants were closed. Some we found out are only open seasonally and some are unfortunately closed from covid lock downs that have ravaged our countries economy and killed a lot of small businesses. Just a small side note the first cabinet I opened by the pool table had a Ouija board in it. I instantly shut the door and did kot go back into the lower level the remainder of our stay. Quite an interesting thing to have out for guests, definitely not our cup of tea...

getaway weekend

Nice place but need maintenance light bulbs burned out in various rooms, no light bulb in open socket in kitchen, not told until day before that Murphy bed was unavailable. fireplace was broken not told about it. knowing about some of the above we wouldn't have rent property.

Great restfull and fun vacation property.

The house is very clean and setup to make your vacation restful and fun. Lots of pieces to complete a fun puzzle - from inside games/pool table to outside kayaks to games to fishing boat & dock. Deck and fire pit completed the restful/fun week. Caught fish, kayaked lake, listened to & watched loons, watched deer stroll though the property. Everything worked and close to town to participate in local events/shopping. Looking to come back next year!

Great Family Trip!

We loved this rental! The house was very comfortable and clean- the vintage decor was cool! The kids had a blast with the kayaks and paddle boards on the lake. We had a bonfire each night. It was great and we would love to come back next year!

Summer get away

The property was nice. Pictures were accurate and home was nicely decorated. A lot a things to do and many were provided with rental such as outdoor games, water crafts and a nicely appointed kitchen. Very clean inside and out though the trash from previous renters should have been removed prior to us checking in as it really stunk up the garage where many outdoor things were located including the gas grill. We were notified by manager that property was available to check in early even though we did not because of previous commitments. Overall a nice property but I did feel it may be a little overpriced for our budget. Probably will not stay here again because of this.

Cool Mid-Century Property

We booked this home for a family get together and couldn't be happier. There was plenty of room with comfortable beds. You feel secluded but are only a few minutes drive to town and anything you might need. The home is full of vintage decorations that were fun to look at. And tons of games to keep you busy on a rainy day!

Terrific house, with much to do, in and out

We had a great stay. The kitchen had all that we needed and the other amenities were great, including playing pool, darts, and board games. Used both fire pit (with wood included), gas fire ring, gas grill, and gas fireplace inside. We were there “between seasons”—between snow (skiing and snowmobiling) and the late spring/summer activities and still found much to do outdoors, including zip lining and a number of nearby hikes around lakes, etc.
