Palm Cottage byggdes 1920 och är ett historiskt Bahamianhem som är perfekt för små eller stora grupper. Det ligger på sluttningen i ett lugnt område och har utsikt över det vackra turkosa vattnet på nordsidstranden, som ligger bara 2 minuters promenad bort. Det är fullt utrustat med ett blygsamt kök, pittoreska bostadsyta, sovrum och badrum och ett sovrum - allt på första våningen. Ett rymligt gäst sovrum med 1/2 badkar upptar andra våningen. Dessutom finns en utomhusdusch, uteservering och grill, och barnvänliga saker som en resesäng, plastköksartiklar, spel och leksaker. Den har också en eklektisk samling av Bahamian-konstverk och den stora trädgården har ett stort antal växter och tropiska fruktträd.

Wonderful island home

This was our second trip to Spanish Wells.. This home was absolutely precious.. great central location approximately 2 minutes from beach with beach views through most windows in the home.. front and back porches were so nice in morning and evenings.. grill was nice to have for afternoon grilling! The island is so beautiful, and has so many fun things to do. Locals are some of the sweetest in the Bahamas also! Dede was excellent with communication and check in/check out.. made everything so simple and stress free. Hope to return again next year!

Island living

Property is very centrally located with all ammenities close by. We walked to the beach everyday which was litterally down the street. The house was comfortable and had everything we needed. Dede was also very easy to communicate with.

Relaxing and Calming

We have been coming to Spanish Wells for several years and this is the first time we stayed at Palm Cottage. The owner Dede met us at the dock and showed us the way to the house. It's a wonderful place that is just as the pictures represent. The pride of ownership shows as it was clean and very nicely decorated. Back deck was a great place for evening dinners. We will be back to stay again.

Great rental

Dede’s property is wonderfully located close to the beach and the dock. I fished on the dock numerous nights and caught a variety of species. The house has wonderful decor, and it felt very cozy. The kitchen had all the utensils needed to prepare meals for the family. Dede and Candida helped us with any questions and concerns that we had as well. Our daughter felt very comfortable and enjoyed cooking meals with us. Our friends who are native to Spanish wells also enjoyed the rental as well. Thank you Dede for sharing this spectacular home with us. God bless :) From the Filipino-American family with love.

My name is Dede Brown. I am a Bahamian, born in Freeport, Grand Bahama and raised in Nassau. I am a freelance artist practicing in the mediums of painting, sculpture, installation and photography and have been self employed since 2010. I have lived in Spanish Wells, Eleuthera for almost three years and I love it!

My two sisters and I purchased this property together in early 2019. We love the family islands of The Bahamas and wanted to invest in a property that reflected the old island charm that we grew up with and have always cherished. Palm Cottage has a lot of soul and character and is the perfect home for us to nurture, make our own and to share with others.

Palm Cottage is a very unique property on Spanish Wells as it's one of the few original homes still on the island. It was built in 1920 from Abaco pine, a very durable and resilient hardwood. The foundation is in pristine condition and the rooms are quite spacious. The property also has a large garden, with many tropical fruit trees and plants.
