Lovely spacious villa

Family fun

Our stay at the villa was excellent! Enough room for the 15 of us, from an 8 month old to 65! Everyone enjoyed having the pool to play in and the location was great, close to town and restaurants. Marie was very available for any queries with very prompt response. Would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful stay, highly recommended

We had an amazing stay at this stunning villa in the Algarve. The large, bright rooms are beautifully designed, and the spacious garden with a large pool is perfect for relaxation. The host was incredibly welcoming, attentive, and always willing to help. The villa is equipped with everything you could possibly need, offering high-end amenities. We couldn't have asked for a better experience!

Fantastic holiday for multiple families

We had a great stay - the villa was well set up and great for three family’s with small children. Communication with the owners was also very easy and they were very helpful with various requests and questions we had. Thanks for having us!

Fantastic villa

Our party of 9 ladies spent a great week at the beautiful Villa Borboleta. It was clean, spacious and airy. Very central for town which has fabulous restaurants. Hope to return next year. Thank you Marie for all your assistance during our stay.

Magnificent villa

A large family of 15 age ranging from 3 to 73 Villa Borboletta exceeded all expectations, the large heated pool was a huge hit, and all rooms were large and very comfortable accommodating all of us with ease. The owners of the villa could not have been more helpful and the welcome hamper was exceptional.

Lovely Family Holiday Villa

Great property with lots of space for families or large group of people. Super outside area for dining with BBQ and a lovely big swimming pool which can be heated. Children loved it as did the adults! Property is in an excellent location. A short walk to local bars and restaurants and mini supermarket and about a 15/20 minute walk to Carvoeiro with lots of shops and restaurants. Walk back is up a rather steep hill but there are plenty of taxis to take you back to the villa! All in all a great place to holiday in the sun.

60th Birthday Celebration with famiky

Absolutely fantastic Villa & location. Marie & Ray had thought of everything to make our holiday fabulous. There were bed guards for children’s beds which were a very welcome addition as hadn’t worked out a contingency for that. The views from the upstairs room were amazing, I can still visualise them now. Have to admit to being sorry to leave. Thank you Marie & Ray, you were wonderful hosts.

Wonderful villa

Beautiful large property that 10 adults happily fitted into with space to spare. Lovely well kept gardens (with a fresh lemon for the gin and tonic!) and great swimming pool enjoyed by all . Lovely welcome from Maria and Ray. Plenty of good restaurants in Carvoeiro...it is a healthy walk back up steep hills but plenty of taxis in the centre rank. (We never used them!) A lovely week for a group ranging in age from 23 to 65!

Dream Villa

We spent a week in this beautiful Villa with 3 families (6 adults and 6 children). Each family had their own area/wing for sleeping which was great. The outdoor space was amazing. The large pool was used daily. The neighbourhood felt very safe and it was about 15 min walk to the beach. Coming back was uphill, which was tough for the younger kids in the heat, but they managed and we enjoyed the views. We rented cars so we could also explore other beaches and towns. Carvoeiro is a beautiful, family friendly town and highly recommend staying here.

Best holiday ever

Family group of 16 all rated the villa and location highly. We did not want for anything and thoroughly recommend. The pool was perfect and used constantly. Paying a little extra to have it heated was well worth while. It is an uphill hike from the village but good exercise and 3 year old managed it regularly. Excellent golf courses played and enjoyed nearby. All enjoyed the paddle tennis at local club. Carveiiro beach best early in morning when quieter. Fun village at night for all ages. We will hopefully be back soon.

Amazing location

We had 4 families stay at Villa Borboleta for a week during Christmas. The villa was spacious with enough space for 13 adults. It's a fully equipped villa with sitting areas for everyone. Rooms were spacious as well as bathrooms. The ground were gorgeous. We were blessed with sunny, mild days the whole week. Temperature were at 63 F all week and it was confortable to sit on the terrace for breakfast everyday. Nights became chilly and we had a fire going on fireplace everyday. Firewood could be purchased at the intermarche in town. Easy walk into town, but uphill on the way back. We had a car so it made it easy to get around. Really enjoyed our time in Carvoeiro. Marie and Ray were very responsive hosts.

Stay 19 to 26 Aug 23 - Mills

This property has all the facilities that a large family gathering would need to make any stay wonderful and in our case a holiday of the decade. The hosts, Marie and Ray were very accomodating and no request for help and/or advice was ignored. The highlight for the children was the large swimming pool with outdoor shower. For the adults, it was the very generous welcoming pack and the fully fitted kitchen with two fridges, one full cooker with oven, one electric hob and a large microwave. The bedrooms with ensuites was a nice touch as was the air conditioning units throughout the house. Overall, the house was as advertised and more as we explored it. Thank you for the use and I'm sure the memories made during the holiday will stay with the whole group for years to come.

Perfect!

What a wonderful villa, host, location and pool! Our group of 13 absolutely loved staying here and can’t wait to go back. The villa has everything you need and Marie and Ray are the most helpful and gracious hosts. Villa is up a couple of short hills about 15/20 minutes stroll from town. Perfectly doable and enjoyable for all of us except mum and dad who are both in 70s (heat was a big factor). However, no problem. We used Adrian’s taxis - number given by Marie and Ray - and mum and dad were dropped off and picked up. Easy! Also use same company for transfer to Carvoiero. Town has so many restaurants! We loved Casa Algarvia for Piri Piri chicken and stone steaks.
