Rymligt konverterat kapell i Snowdonia

Capel Bethel användes senast som ett kapell 1982 och hade varit oanvänd och olovlig tills vi började den omvandling som slutfördes i början av 2006. Det är en fantastisk fastighet på tre våningar och erbjuder rymligt och flexibelt boende för en stor familj eller ett antal familjer.

Trawsfynydd ligger inom Snowdonia National Park och ligger inom kort avstånd från Zip World, Snowdon, Porthmadog, Portmerion Italianate Village, Ffestiniog Railway, Llechwedd Slate Caverns och Harlech Castle. De fantastiska stränderna vid Cardigan Bay och Llyn Penisula ligger i närheten. Det finns ett bra urval av butiker i byn och pubar som serverar mat i närheten.

På bottenvåningen finns två sovrum - ett dubbelrum och en tvilling. På bottenvåningen finns också ett badrum med separat badkar och dusch. Det välutrustade köket, matplatsen med plats för 12 och bekväm sittgrupp finns också på bottenvåningen. Köket är utrustat med en inbyggd dubbel elektrisk ugn och en gaspanna med 5 ringar. Det finns en mikrovågsugn, ett stort kylskåp och separat frys med frys samt massor av krukor, kastruller, bestick och porslin.

På mezzaningolvet finns en andra sittgrupp med vedbrännare och TV med freeview och en DVD-spelare. Det finns också ett sovrum med våningssängar och en garderob.

På översta våningen finns ytterligare tre sovrum - ett dubbelrum med eget badrum med duschrum, ett singel och ett familjerum med en dubbelsäng och 2 enkelsängar. Det finns också ett badrum på denna våning med separat badkar och dusch.

Utanför finns parkering för upp till tre bilar och det finns en trädgård med skifferbord.

Uppvärmning tillhandahålls genom centralvärme för gas.

Get together with friends

Lovely place. Accommodation was clean and exactly as described. We did have an issue with the heating not coming on the one night but the owner sorted wothin an hour. Would definitely recommend.

A lovely spacious property ideal larger families or groups. lots of space for living and sleeping.

We had a lovely stay, enjoyed the area and would definitely go back again for a big family get together. Tastefully restored to a good standard making our stay even more enjoyable.

Great cottage

Fantastic property. Very spacious, lots of cooking and kitchen supplies and an ideal base for exploring local area. Stayed with 3 families with various ages and we had a fantastic time and loved it

Fantastic base for a family / friends trip to Snowdonia

Ideally located

We enjoyed our stay here, it’s ideally located in a village but with a shop nearby. We were three families and the layout of the property was ideal for this. We visited Snowdon and the deep mine which are both about a 20 minute drive away

Adventure week in north Wales

We had a really great week here. The property is huge with multiple areas to relax. The kitchen is very well stocked. The location is fantastic to reach all major north Wales tourist sites. Some minor negative points. No WIFI or microwave and the TV should be upgraded to a larger one.

Fantastic spacious and gorgeous converted chapel

What a wonderful home! Beautiful views and great location. Kath was really lovely and helpful during our stay. The house can certainly accommodate a large group with plenty of beds and a great kitchen. Definitely recommend

great find for relaxing weekend

very spacious and accommodating property that made for a great base for a sociable weekend. Great location with easy walk from front door into countryside. Convenient local pub, though can’t say what it was like as the chapel was too comfy to leave, with a great kitchen for cooking in.

Great space for a large group.

This is a lovely property with good sized rooms and plenty of bathrooms, so it was ideal for our mixed group of adults and children . It is well equipped and has a lovely big table to seat 12 - 14 people. It would benefit from a bit of attention to detail - a few faults that need fixing and the beds and bedding really need an upgrade as they are not comfortable. Overall, we had a great stay in this beautiful area.

Family mini break

We were a group of 7 adults and 1 toddler and found the property a great place to stay.It is located only a short drive from the lovely beaches of Harlech and Barmouth, and Zipworld, which is great fun. The property is spacious and well equipped and provided everything we needed. Although parking is limited it wasn’t an issue for us. I would definitely go back again and recommend to family and friends.

Lovely family holiday

Such a beautiful and spacious home, we felt it had all we needed and much more, lots of space for our 4 families to get togethe. Well set out and excellent space for everyone to be able to eat, cook and play together with everything that we needed. The kids loved the upstairs seating area as the was so much space for them to play. The adults loved we could keep an eye on them while we had space to cook and enjoy the safe feeling they were close by. The bedroom very spacious and nicely laid out and lovely and clean. The area is lovely loads to visit only short car ride away. The host is very helpful snd friendly.

Large and cheap space for families

The space is large and cheaper than most places for multiple families to stay. The double metal frame beds are not really suitable for 2 individuals you end up sinking in the middle, but the divan and the singles where ok. The house was genarlly clean with some dusting required around the lamps and corners of the rooms. All in all we had a lovely time.

Quirky but spacious.

Plenty of room for all to have own personal quiet time, plus shared areas big enough for everyone. We didn't miss WiFi because we took games and played together. There's parking for three cars but it's tricky to get in/out if all the neighbours are home as it's a narrow street. The children loved hearing and spotting sheep. Great location for steam trains and beaches.

A really lovely place to stay

We all enjoyed our stay in this beautiful house. It worked really well for grandchildren from two 3 yos to 20, safe for the little ones to go from floor to floor, and we all liked the way we could be in different spaces but we could hear eachother which was very companionable. We welcomed the good number of bathrooms and loos. Wonderful kitchen / dining area which encouraged all our gang to join in cooking and clearing, and great for us all to sit round the fabulous table. Our littlest one had been concerned about a freezer bit enough for his ice-cream reqirements, it was ( phew) and kindly supplied with a generous stock by Kath. Thnaks Caroline and family

Great size for a big group

Plenty of space. Well equipped. Beds were comfortable and road very quiet. We had two 7 seater cars and would not have fitted a third in! We walked including Snowdon which was very busy (Pyg and Miners) as well as other mountains which were very quiet. Harlech was good - beach, castle and steepest street. We also swam in the fairy glen. Very cold. So much more to do but we ran out of time. Thank you.

The accomodation was lovely but it needs more cleaning and maintenance as there was a few oroblems

Lovely but we would not go back until it had a thorough clean and sort out the maintenance problems.I messaged Kath about a few problems which she promptly replied but one of the problems was a broken toilet seat on our first day and the smell in the same bathroom but it was never repaired or sorted .

Large, Well-Equipped House with a View

Our large family group thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Trawsfynydd. We had one family with two small children, an aunt, and three grandparents all traveling together. There was plenty of space and options for room arrangements. This would be a wonderful property for several families with children meeting up together, as there are several trundle beds and baby cribs- there is also a trunk of toys! The kitchen had evening needed for cooking meals. The house was very clean. Check in was easy. The beds, as others have mentioned, were a bit springy, but the rooms were cosy, and after being out hiking/sight seeing during the day, we slept well. The property was very centrally located in Snowdonia- a great jumping off point for many locations. The view from the backyard was very nice, and we really enjoyed looking through the photos of the renovation. Another reviewer had mentioned something about water/plumbing issues in the top bathroom- I was a little nervous about it before it arrival, but there was no need to worry- the bathrooms were all in great condition and everything worked properly. Overall a very enjoyable stay.

Great family stay

We were a bit shocked when we arrived that the property was situated on a narrow road with houses on either side and opposite. Soon got used to the parking as there is room for three cars on the drive. Location is very picturesque and the kids loved it down by the river in the village. The bedrooms and living spaces were fantastic. Only negative was the unpleasant drain smell which we could not get rid of, even after the host suggested running plenty of water down the traps.

Great stay in Trawsfynydd

The property was clean and had ample space for our group. Kitchen was really well equipped. Easy check in process. The general area is lovely, only small downside is not lots within walking distance.

It offers a real escape from the world with no WiFi - a lot of guests comment on how refreshing it is to not have the distraction of phones and technology so they can properly unwind and families/friends can chat/play games in the evenings after busy days exploring the area.
