Skye stuga ligger i den gamla delen av Padstow, i en mycket lugn gata, bara tio minuters promenad från centrum av staden. Parkering, som är ganska sällsynt i den här gamla delen av Padstow, ligger precis vid din dörr. Huset är 13 år gammal men har byggts i den gamla korniska traditionen, med skiffer fram och bakgården är en fantastisk solfälla. Inom kort gångavstånd kommer du att vara på hamnen, där alla kända restauranger i Padstow finns. Butiker och pubar är också bara väg. Padstow är en perfekt bas för att utforska hela Cornwall, inte långt ifrån någon av de andra attraktionerna som Eden Project, Port Isaac, St Ives och stränderna Trevone, Harlyn, Constantine, Treyarnon, Newquay, Watergate, Mawgan Porth och den kända kustvägen.

Another excellent stay….

This was our second time at Skye Cottage and, once again, we had a fantastic time. The location is perfect - 3-4 minutes walk to the Harbour, but in a very quiet spot. The house works very well, and the rear garden area is a real sunspot. Having dedicated parking is a real bonus. The owner is very helpful and responds quickly to any queries. Overall - can’t recommend Skye Cottage highly enough!

Perfect cottage for a relaxing break

A really lovely cottage with great facilities, good bedroom sizes and the benefit of a private garden. Having car parking was a real plus and we really enjoyed our stay which was the perfect base to explore Padstow and the surrounding bays. Private parking a great bonus. 2 minute walk to the harbour. Nice safe enclosed garden.Tv in the first bedroom was not working.Really need a blind in the front kitchen window.Overall had a lovely stay..

Wonderful stay

We had a fantastic stay at this property in Padstow. It lived up to our expectations and we had a great week, especially as we were blessed with sunny weather. Fantastic location, bright and spacious rooms, on site parking a real bonus and wonderful sun trap garden. Would thoroughly recommend!

An amazing week!

We were so incredibly lucky with the weather! Wall to wall sunshine in the first week of April. The property worked well for 2 couples, all of us retired and friends for many years. Parking on the doorstep (literally) for one car was very handy and we found a space on a nearby street for the 2nd car, though we mostly walked everywhere.

Excellent Stay!

Lovely accommodation in the centre of Padstow. The cottage was clean, spacious and well equipped. Parking space is a huge bonus.Host was very friendly and quick at replying to messages. Would definitely stay again in the future when revisiting Padstow.

Great location, convenient parking

Close to harbour and easy access to beautiful walks. Easy parking. Very clean. Lots expected of guests when leaving....removing sheets from bed, cleaning oven etc. overall we had a good stay.

Property met the basics well, clean, comfortable beds, effective showers etc. The main attraction is it’s location in the Old Town within easy walking distance of the harbour, complete with highly valued parking spot.

We enjoyed our stay so much last year that we came back again. The house is in a fantastic location and only a 5 minute walk to the bustling harbour but far enough away to be quiet. Having a parking space was a must for us with small children. We wish we could have stayed longer.

Lovely Padstow Stay

Perfect location to be walking distance to padstow centre and the local beaches with a parking spot and garden. Perfect for our holiday with our dog. We had everything we needed. Was the perfect base to explore!

We had a great week in Padstow. The cottage was excellent and really comfortable with the added bonus of a car parking space and a great outdoor area. The cottage is ideally situated to enjoy all that Padstow has to offer.

Das Haus liegt perfekt für alle Aktivitäten in und um Padstow. Definitiv in Padstow nicht zu verachten ist die Möglichkeit, das Auto direkt vorm Haus abzustellen. Das Haus selbst ist perfekt ausgestattet, unter anderem mit drei Badezimmern. Gerne wieder…

Overall the property is fine, the cleanliness could have been better, would have been nice to have some basic cleaning products and a dishcloth, the patio area could do with some maintenance and some seating and a table would be good, some sort of privacy at the front of property is needed but overall it is well worth the money, Thanks

Padstow holiday

The property location is fantastic and only a short 5 minute stroll down the the main harbour. Being situated in the old part of Padstow, it has all the charm and beauty you could hope for. Having a driveway is a massive bonus as there is very limited parking otherwise and it would have been difficult with a young family. We loved our stay and would definitely like to go again.

Traumurlaub

Wir haben unseren Urlaub in Skye Cottage sehr genossen. Die Unterkunft war für uns 3 Personen + Hund perfekt. Die Lage innerhalb von Padstow ist nicht zu toppen. Mittendrin, 5 Minuten Fußweg zum Hafen, mit eigenem Parkplatz - mega! - und trotzdem total ruhig - abgesehen von den Kirchenglocken ;-). Besonders gut gefallen hat uns die tolle Terrasse und der Garten, dort konnten wir wunderbar unseren Kaffee etc. genießen und entspannen. Zu jeder Tageszeit gab es sowohl ein sonniges als auch ein schattiges Plätzchen. Ein großes Plus auch für das schnelle Internet! Auch das Kochen auf dem Gasherd hat viel Spaß gemacht. Das Haus ist mit allem ausgestattet, was man für einen entspannten Urlaub braucht. 3 Badezimmer sind auch absoluter Luxus. Der Kontakt mit Adriana war sehr nett. Sie kümmert sich perfekt um alles und ist für jedes Problem jederzeit ansprechbar. Bei unserer Ankunft (Freitags) war die Spülmaschine defekt und schon am Montag kam Ersatz. Padstow als Urlaubsort hat uns super gefallen. Genau die richtige Mischung aus "Leben" und "Ruhe". Tolle Geschäfte, tolle Pubs, tolle Restaurants, tolle Möglichkeiten für Ausflüge, Bootstouren etc. Die Strände vor Ort und in der Umgebung sind umwerfend! Und auch für die Vierbeiner ist Cornwall ein Traum. Kurz: Für uns war es perfekt.

Great location with one parking space

Parking space was a rarity in this part of Padstow so extremely useful and property is in a great location. Surface clean ok but behind sinks etc in bathroom we’re not good at all. Owner allowed us to check in an hour early which was great but the set check-in and out times are the most extreme I’ve experienced - 9.30 and 4.30 - you’re basically paying for a night where you can’t do anything in the day - not even park the car. Cottage has everything you need - dishwasher, washing machine, full kitchen etc and both bedrooms have an ensuite. Nice area out the back to sit and have a vino/bbq.

I am a Brazilian lady who have been living in the UK for 31 years, 28 of which in Cornwall where I have made my home and can't think of leaving this place. I have always lived in this area, first in Bloomfield, Trevone (E6352), Padstow for 12 years, where I have Skye Cottage and now in Mawgan Porth. I am married to a local chap and both my daughters were born here, where they follow on their dad's footsteps playing golf, surfing and life-guarding during the Summer.

Varför värden valde detta boende

We built Skye Cottage from scratch on the grounds of Garslade - the house over the gate, from where I ran a B&B for 12 years. The idea was to add a couple of bedrooms to the B&B but we ended up building a proper house, which is now being rented as self-catering since we no longer own Garslade. The house has a modern feel to it, with ceramic floors downstairs and underfloor heating, and oak floors upstairs. The bathrooms upstairs also have underfloor heating.

Vad som gör detta boende unikt

PARKING, PARKING, PARKING. PRIVATE PARKING. Sorry to bang on about it, but it's very rare in the old part of Padstow to have your own parking space, in a property that's so near all the amenities of the town. Another major attraction is that both rooms are en-suite, which is very welcomed by couples who come on holiday together. Another bathroom downstairs will let you sort out the sand you bring from the beach.
