Skye stuga ligger i den gamla delen av Padstow, i en mycket lugn gata, bara tio minuters promenad frÄn centrum av staden. Parkering, som Àr ganska sÀllsynt i den hÀr gamla delen av Padstow, ligger precis vid din dörr. Huset Àr 13 Är gammal men har byggts i den gamla korniska traditionen, med skiffer fram och bakgÄrden Àr en fantastisk solfÀlla. Inom kort gÄngavstÄnd kommer du att vara pÄ hamnen, dÀr alla kÀnda restauranger i Padstow finns. Butiker och pubar Àr ocksÄ bara vÀg. Padstow Àr en perfekt bas för att utforska hela Cornwall, inte lÄngt ifrÄn nÄgon av de andra attraktionerna som Eden Project, Port Isaac, St Ives och strÀnderna Trevone, Harlyn, Constantine, Treyarnon, Newquay, Watergate, Mawgan Porth och den kÀnda kustvÀgen.

The property is basic but well equipped and a great location with parking. It’s perhaps time to renew the beds which were not entirely comfortable.There was considerable noise from adjacent building works but that is beyond the proprietors control.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.Our only negative comment would be that we were informed in advance in all communications that checking out time would be 10.00 whereas the information sheet in the property stated that this was 9.30 am and the cleaner arrived accordingly.

We have just had a wonderful 5 night holiday. The cottage was exceptionally clean and tidy. It was also very spacious and had everything we needed. The bedding was of good quality, mattress slightly hard but Im used to a soft mattress at home. Pillows very comfortable and the shower was lovely and powerful. Handy having a spar shop a couple minutes walk down the road. We would love to return one day.

All pretty good

Pleasant, clean, generally well-equipped flat. Met our needs for a stay in Cornwall. Difficult to reach the nominated local contact person. We found ways around this; an inconvenience rather than a deal breaker.Plusses include comfortable bed, Television with access to free-to-air channels (which is not suppled as routinely as you might think), short walk downhill to harbour etc., and dedicated parking for the guest.

Fabulous dog friendly cottage

Fabulous dog friendly cottage. Clean, modern, comfortable and had everything we needed, with added free parking space.Excellent communication from host Short walk to Padstow harbour with lots of places to eat. Lovely walk along the camel trail, boat over to rock beach, short drive to some beautiful beaches, approx 30 mins into Newquay.Will most definitely be returning

Modern house in a good location

The house has a good layout, is in a good location in Padstow, and has good facilities.There was no information pack with instructions on how things worked, which meant we needed to contact the owner for simple information.This is the first holiday home we have ever stayed in where we were not made to feel very welcome on arrival.

Another excellent stay
.

This was our second time at Skye Cottage and, once again, we had a fantastic time. The location is perfect - 3-4 minutes walk to the Harbour, but in a very quiet spot. The house works very well, and the rear garden area is a real sunspot. Having dedicated parking is a real bonus. The owner is very helpful and responds quickly to any queries. Overall - can’t recommend Skye Cottage highly enough!

Perfect cottage for a relaxing break

A really lovely cottage with great facilities, good bedroom sizes and the benefit of a private garden. Having car parking was a real plus and we really enjoyed our stay which was the perfect base to explore Padstow and the surrounding bays. Private parking a great bonus. 2 minute walk to the harbour. Nice safe enclosed garden.Tv in the first bedroom was not working.Really need a blind in the front kitchen window.Overall had a lovely stay..

Wonderful stay

We had a fantastic stay at this property in Padstow. It lived up to our expectations and we had a great week, especially as we were blessed with sunny weather. Fantastic location, bright and spacious rooms, on site parking a real bonus and wonderful sun trap garden. Would thoroughly recommend!

An amazing week!

We were so incredibly lucky with the weather! Wall to wall sunshine in the first week of April. The property worked well for 2 couples, all of us retired and friends for many years. Parking on the doorstep (literally) for one car was very handy and we found a space on a nearby street for the 2nd car, though we mostly walked everywhere.

Excellent Stay!

Lovely accommodation in the centre of Padstow. The cottage was clean, spacious and well equipped. Parking space is a huge bonus.Host was very friendly and quick at replying to messages. Would definitely stay again in the future when revisiting Padstow.

Great location, convenient parking

Close to harbour and easy access to beautiful walks. Easy parking. Very clean. Lots expected of guests when leaving....removing sheets from bed, cleaning oven etc. overall we had a good stay.

We enjoyed our stay so much last year that we came back again. The house is in a fantastic location and only a 5 minute walk to the bustling harbour but far enough away to be quiet. Having a parking space was a must for us with small children. We wish we could have stayed longer.

I am a Brazilian lady who have been living in the UK for 31 years, 28 of which in Cornwall where I have made my home and can't think of leaving this place. I have always lived in this area, first in Bloomfield, Trevone (E6352), Padstow for 12 years, where I have Skye Cottage and now in Mawgan Porth. I am married to a local chap and both my daughters were born here, where they follow on their dad's footsteps playing golf, surfing and life-guarding during the Summer.

Varför vÀrden valde detta boende

We built Skye Cottage from scratch on the grounds of Garslade - the house over the gate, from where I ran a B&B for 12 years. The idea was to add a couple of bedrooms to the B&B but we ended up building a proper house, which is now being rented as self-catering since we no longer own Garslade. The house has a modern feel to it, with ceramic floors downstairs and underfloor heating, and oak floors upstairs. The bathrooms upstairs also have underfloor heating.

Vad som gör detta boende unikt

PARKING, PARKING, PARKING. PRIVATE PARKING. Sorry to bang on about it, but it's very rare in the old part of Padstow to have your own parking space, in a property that's so near all the amenities of the town. Another major attraction is that both rooms are en-suite, which is very welcomed by couples who come on holiday together. Another bathroom downstairs will let you sort out the sand you bring from the beach.
