12 Oakridge är en stuga som ligger i en lugn miljö nära byn St Mellion i Cornwall. Lodgen ligger i ett landskap på 39 tunnland som gränsar till den fantastiska golfbanan St Mellion International och ligger nära de underbara stränderna i både Devon och Cornwall.

Lodgen har två golf- och två fritidspass som tillåter GRATIS användning av St Mellion-anläggningarna, inklusive de två golfbanorna, bad- och fritidspooler (OBS; barn 12 och under får gratis), bastu, ångbad, jacuzzi, gym , tennisbanor, etc.
OBS: ytterligare golfare får den tillämpliga medlemsgästsatsen, som är ungefär 50% rabatt på den vanliga greenfee-räntan (det finns olika priser beroende på veckodag, tid på dagen och tid på året).

St Mellion International Resort har två golfbanor och har tidigare varit värd för Benson & Hedges International Open och English Seniors Open. Jack Nicklaus designade 'Signature Course' (Storbritanniens första JN-kurs och en av endast tre i England) är en riktig utmaning men kommer att leva länge i minnet. Kernow-kursen är inte lika utmanande men är verkligen ingen promenad i parken.

Stunning location, top class Hosting.

Situated in a great location with great morning coffee views listening to the wildlife. I didn’t have to contact the host for anything as it was all explained perfectly in the booking and a handy guide left out on arrival.

Amazing place perfect getaway

Honestly if you are looking for a great place to stay and relax with friends this is the place, the surroundings are beautiful and the house is so welcoming. We visit yearly and are looking forward to our break next year!!!

It was a fairly straightforward process to book and our host Simon was always available for any questions would definitely recommend if you want a relaxing time away from the normal hustle and bustle

Worth a try!

Beautiful house (all bedrooms en-suite), amazing location. Peace and quiet. It was great to have free entry for leisure centre where we had free gym, classes, swimming pool and more (especially on rainy days). We loved it. The only thing why we rated it 4 stars is that the mattress in master bedroom wasn’t good enough and was given a backache to everyone who tried to sleep on it, also the master bedroom was too cold to compare to other rooms of the house because of big gaps in the entering door from outside straight to the bedroom

Suprise weekend

House and amentities are very good and it is great to have a free pass to the health club. But you can only use the golf access if you have a handicap of at least 28. Driving range is extra. Due to it remoteness, you are unable to order food in or get even a taxi, unless you want to spend around 30 for them to turn up. This spoilt the weekend somewhat because of this and we needed to drive everywhere. Wanted a day out in plymouth and didnt want to drive. But no choice. I would recomend this vacation if you are prepared for fullly cooking own meals or choose to eat out and they are not close either. If want BBQ and peace and quiet, this would be perfect.

Lovely property for golf break

The property offers an ideal base to explore the area or as in our case, play two wonderful golf courses and take advantage of the spa facilities. It was our second time staying at Oakridge and despite the poor weather we thoroughly enjoyed our trip. We'll definitely be returning.

An amazing and thrilling stay

We loved the house with amazing views, modern interior - it is a lovely family holiday home. The kids loved the quiet estate road, as they are free to roam by themselves on their skateboards. We loved our stroll along the beach at Whitsand Bay, with a breathtaking coastline, finished off with a delicious lunch at the Cliff Top Cafe.

Lovely lodge.. would return

Had a lovely staycation in 12 Oakridge. The lodge is extremely well equipped with lots of plates and cutlery and plenty of space for 6 people. The estate is very tranquil and the setting is lovely...a real away from it all. Owner extremely helpful would recommend this lodge.

Lovely cottage and location

Really nice setting, cottage was clean and facilities were great. If I have one grumble it is the mattresses - not sure if they were old but we really struggled to sleep and I really feel an upgrade is needed.

Amazing property and location for a lovely quiet weekend break

What an amazing property. Owned by possibly the friendliest owners ever. From start to finish this weekend away has been an absolute joy. Perfect location for us, as all we wanted was somewhere quiet to relax in after a very difficult year. The owners were simply fantastic and so accommodating. The property itself is an absolute gem and we will definitely be returning

Easy to like!

A wet and somewhat blustery week, but couldn't fault our stay otherwise! Impeccably furnished and very well equipped, the whole family also appreciated all bedrooms being en-suite. A lovely place, and a relaxing base to return to after busy days - highly recommended! :)

Perfect chilled getaway

Truly needed quiet chilled getaway from the hustle and bustle of “normal” life of living in a town. The house was perfect, set on a peaceful private road with only the sound of the birds in the woods and a lovely Robbin that sang us a song in the morning. The house had everything you could need, even games to play in the evening. My boys were very excited to see a golf game on the Nintendo Wii! The leisure facilities were perfect with a nice swim every evening and abit of golf in the mornings. Would highly recommend, and we will definitely come again. Thank you Simon for letting us stay in your lovely lodge :-)

Excellent property in great location. Complimentary Health Club and Golf Club membership maximised the benefits of the property. Simon (Property Owner) was brilliant to deal with, prompt communications for initial enquiry . Recommend this property for your next visit to Cornwall.

The property and setting were idyllic. I just want to point out when pulling a draw open on chest of draws in a double room the front fell off. This was not misuse.

Golf trip

The booking and acces to property was seemless. A welcome gift was found on arrival thankyou. All towels and bedding wete freashcand clean. Plenty of cooking bits in the kitchen is always a great help when self catering. Clean and tiday and so quiet. Booking golf was easy andcadvise going after 1.30. Its like millionaire golf. Look forard to returning.

Above and Beyond

Our total experience at this VRBO property was above and beyond our expectations. The tranquil setting, the lovely condo and the access to St. Mellion’s golf, leisure facilities and excellent restaurants made our Cornwall experience truly fabulous. Simon Parker provided us with excellent suggestions for our stay. He was quick to respond if we had a need or question. We hope to return again in the future.

Short stay

The property was ideal for golf at the St Mellion golf club a few minutes away. Although the property was spacious it was in need of a bit of TLC both inside and outside, paintwork is flaking and scuffed everywhere and all rooms needed a thorough clean . The bathrooms in particular in need of updating. Regardless of the above we enjoyed our stay

full of promise and optimism

this property was last sold in 2009 and is now beginning to show its age. the rooms are small, the bathrooms smaller. the kitchen serves a purpose, SKY and wifi are the height of technical modernity. the location is good if you want to get away from it all, but in the back end of beyond if you want more. a tree lined approach betrays the reality and is not for the faint hearted. availability of the hotel and estate facilities is useful, however, it is a drive away (7-10mins) and parking is limiited at the hotel. overall very disappointing, the price maybe cheap for 6, still low on the value for money scale.

Elderly couples, be aware - there are steep gravel paths, lots of steep stairs and extremely unsafe handrails, many of which are rotten and breaking up. The beds were uncumfortable, the unit shabby and the shower in one of the ensuites only gave a dribble of water. All in all, we definitely do not recommend this property. Very disappointed. The only thing that was acceptable was the kitchen/living area, that was very nice.

Although we love to visit Oakridge as often as we can, unfortunately, due to work & family commitments this does not happen nearly as often as we would like.
12 Oakridge is not a cosy second home benefit for us and we are therefore pleased to offer our guests the opportunity to enjoy everything that the property and location has to offer.
Our guest's reviews and Visitor Book comments consistently indicate that people not only appreciate the accommodation and the superb golf & leisure facilities that St Mellion has to offer, but also consider that 12 Oakridge provides an ideal base from which to explore the numerous and varied local attractions.

We had been looking for a holiday property in Devon or Cornwall as a long-term investment which we could occasionally use as family getaway. We stumbled across the Oakridge estate almost by mistake and immediately fell in love with the tranquil location and the lodges with their 'up-side down' living and views out over the St Mellion golf courses and immediate countryside.

Our love of Oakridge is helped by the fact that a number of family members are keen golfers & were enticed by the superb golf on offer at St Mellion International Resort with the Jack Nicklaus designed 'Signature' course and the 'Kernow' course providing
varied, challenging & rewarding (at least some of the time!) golf in a superb setting.

The 13th hole of the 'Signature' course is just a short walk away across the bridge outside the lodge with the clubhouse and leisure club a short stroll away via the golf course buggy paths.

Vad som gör detta boende unikt

We provide two golf and two leisure passes to St Mellion which permit people to play golf on either the 'Signature' course or the 'Kernow' course whilst people enjoy the leisure facilities which include a 25m pool, leisure pool, jacuzzi, steam room, sauna, gym, tennis courts, etc. These passes are complimentary for our guests and are included in the rental price and we hope that people appreciate the facilities and make good use of them during their stay.

BARS & RESTAURANTS
St Mellion incorporates a number of restaurants......
The An Boesti is a 2 AA-Rosette restaurant and serves fresh, local ingredients in a modern decor. There is also an adjoining bar to enjoy some pre or after dinner drinks.
The No.18 Bistro is a less formal offering providing all-day dining in a relaxed atmosphere, serving freshly ground coffee, afternoon tea, homemade desserts and a selection of healthy options.
The Nicklaus Bar overlooks the 18th green of the championship golf course. It’s the perfect spot to get together after a day of golfing at St Mellion. There is a wide selection of hot and cold food available along with light snacks.

In addition to the golf and leisure facilities, 12 Oakridge provides a superb base from which to explore the beautiful countryside with so much to see and do within just a short drive - there is far too much to list but just a few family favourites are Whitsand Bay, Mt Edgcumbe Country Park, Cotehele House & Quay and Antony House.
