Beläget i de lugna bakgatorna i historiska Tavira och omgiven av typiska Algarve-hus, är det centrala läget så att du kan lämna bilen bakom dig och fördjupa dig i den lokala atmosfären genom att gå genom de smala kullerstensgatorna, kika genom öppna dörrar för att se en hemlig innergård eller besöka små butiker för sina lokalt producerade produkter.

På natten är Tavira en livlig stad med en mängd restauranger på vardera sidan av floden som ger en mängd olika rätter. Under sommarmånaderna, på huvudtorget, kan du försvinna de sena kvällstimmarna och titta på live-showen, eller lyssna på musiken medan du njuter av en sval drink på ett av uteserveringarna. Tavira rymmer alla smaker och stilar under varje säsong och lägenheten är idealisk placerad för att tillgodose dina behov.

Lägenheten ligger bara 2 minuters promenad till en bar och café, 5 minuter till marknaden för färsk fisk, kött, frukt och grönsaker och bara några minuters promenad till affärer, restauranger och vid floden.

Tavira ligger i naturreservatet Ria Formosa och har behållit mycket av sin gamla karaktär och undvikit massturism. Eftersom det inte bara är en semesterort är det fortfarande ett bra ställe att besöka på vintern. Det är idealiskt beläget för att utforska hela Algarve och även Spanien (30 km bort). Det finns 6 golfbanor inom en radie på 20 km, inklusive Benamor (4 km), Quintas Ria och Cima (7 km). Ta en färja till Tavira östränder, hyra cyklar och cykla gamla spår eller gå mil på tomma stränder.

Lägenheten har ett vardagsrum / matsal med skjutfönster som vetter mot balkongen med utsikt över poolen. Det finns en ny soffa som omvandlas till en dubbelsäng. Köket, med utsikt över gatan och traditionella taktoppar, är på baksidan och är fullt utrustat inklusive tvättmaskin och diskmaskin. Great time in Tavira.

Great property: modern, well furnished and well located for all of Tavira’s amenities. Olga was very helpful and apartment was nice and clean. Welcome package was a nice touch. One suggestion: the bathroom needs a cabinet for toiletries etc. Also the TV didn’t work! We didn’t use the pool - it was too cool!

Spacious and very clean!

My spouse and I stayed here with a friend who slept comfortably on the pullout sofa. With doors between each room there is lots of privacy. Rooms are a good size. Communication with owner was excellent right from the time of booking and check in process with Olga the caretaker was very was simple and straightforward. We loved the simplicity of Tavira after spending time in the cities. Excellent food, very friendly people and a great place to relax. Thank you Sylvia and Mike!!

Great for the price!

We just needed a place to sleep, and weren’t needing a lot of amenities. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the desk clerks were very helpful when we arrived extremely late due to a flight delay. I would stay here again!

Lovely apartment

Lovely apartment in a gated residential area. Well equipped kitchen with everything you need - great selection of cookware and utensils, tea, coffee, sugar, oil condiments etc. Spare bedding and pillows/duvets in the bedroom and cupboards in the hall held everything else you could think of. Sewing kit! Body lotion! A true home from home. We appreciated the secure garage parking as well. The balcony with chairs and loungers was a great place to relax with a glass of wine. Really enjoyed our stay

Great location in Old Town Tavira

This apartment is perfect for a couple. Big windows on the front and back provided lots of daylight in the unit. Very well equipped for all your daily needs. The complex has the perfect location in Tavira for walking to all the local sights and services. Sylvia and Mike were easy to communicate with and great hosts. I would highly recommend this apartment for long tern winter stays!!

It was a nice stay

It was very nice except that AC was not working well for the first 5 to 6 days. Then, we finally got a new AC units for the bedroom and the living room, and everything was okay!

A great apartment!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this apartment. It was very well thought out with many extras included like things to take to the beach with you. The bed was extremely comfortable, it was spotlessly clean when we arrived and the location was perfect. We would certainly love to stay there again if we return to Tavira! There was a bit of an issue with the TV near the end of our stay that wasn’t able to be fixed while we were there but that didn’t deter from our enjoyment of the apartment.

The property was exactly as described on the website. Everything was very clean. Kitchen had everything you could need. There was lots of information provided about the apartment and the town. The property is very well located in Tavira, close to everything but yet on a quite residential street. The owners were very easy and prompt with communication. We would go back!

Lovely Break in The Algarve

We came to relax in the context of a small city. Tavira is ideal. Our apartment was spacious and spanned the building, so the cross-breeze made us hardly need the A/C. The gate access code changed mid-stay, so if your code does not work, ask your owner for the new one.

Everything was “A plus “ beginning from personal assistance in finding the place upon arrival till the last day with vacating the place The host left a welcome wine and food package. This was very sweet and thoughtful particularly for us arriving very late in the night and not familiar with Tavira The host provided number of useful tips and guides about the area Would recommend this place to anybody with closed eyes

Just back from 9 night stay . The apartment is immaculate and the location is excellent. You don’t need a car as can walk to a variety of supermarkets and the local food market . The ferry boats to the beach are 5 minutes walk and the castle ruins the same . We took the train from Tavira Station which is walkable from the apartment to the border town of Vila real de San Antonio and hopped on the small ferry across to Ayamonte in Spain for the afternoon. Both towns lovely and half way over the river your watch goes forward 1 hour . We fell in love with quaint , beautiful Tavira with its pavement cafes/restaurants and gelato shops . We found the local residents very friendly. We will definitely be back .

Our experience was smooth and easy. The apartment was lovely and very clean and located in a nice neighborhood with great restaurants and also within walking distance of many attractions. Olga took good care of us proving welcome wine and some breakfast items for morning. She helped us operate the TV and the washing machine. The apartment had many extras including plenty of towels, tp, etc. we would definitely try to stay there again.

We first visited Tavira in1982 with our young children and after returning many times decided to see if it was possible to visit without using a car. It is! As our home in the UK is in a small village where a car is needed for everything, to be able to walk to shops, bars and restaurants is a delight.

Varför värden valde detta boende

We fell in love with this apartment at the first viewing. It is well built and equipped, secure, and the position is so convenient, within easy walking distance of shops, a variety of restaurants and bars. We have furnished it as we would our own home, to be comfortable and welcoming . Because the development has permanent Portuguese residents, there is always someone around, even in the winter -which is when we mostly visit. We feel at home in Tavira, the local people are all so welcoming and friendly.

Vad som gör detta boende unikt

We like to sit on the balcony looking at the local house roof tops and Sao Sebastian church. We see birds swooping down to drink in the swimming pool and watch the bats come out at dusk.
