Perfect spot for a week at Fernandina. Very nice accommodations and sooo close to the beach. The side porch is shaded by an awning and catches a great breeze. The kitchen is well equipped. Judy and Jim were very attentive but never intrusive. Five stars.

The beach house exceeded our expectations in every way. The location was perfect. If we come back to Amelia Island this will be my first choice. Our kids loved it, and being able to bring our dog made it even more special. In the past we have rented a house with its own private walkway to the beach. This house had a shorter walk than that one.

Cozy home close to the beach

We all enjoyed our stay immensely, and the owners were great. Excellent communication and you could tell they thought of their guests because the home was very clean and they'd added several nice touches to make our stay even nicer. We hope to return.

Dog friendly location close to the beach

We loved the easy access to the beach and went for several walks with the dog during our stay. The property was very comfortable with everything we needed.

Couldn't better! The amenities, the location, everything was simply perfect. I stayed with my dog for a week in Aug 2025 and didn't want to leave. The house is literally steps from the beach and a short walk to Salt Life restaurant. It is also a 2 min drive to Fort Clinch park entrance and the Egan greenway trails. I will be booking here again very soon!

We couldn’t have chosen a better place to call our home away from home than Pelican Palms. This property is well-appointed, very clean, thoughtfully furnished, and exactly as described on VRBO. The location was very convenient and allowed for a peaceful and restorative time away. Hurricane Erin offshore (thankfully) created some spectacular waves for the local surfing crowd, but didn’t stop us from lovely beach strolls and meeting friendly neighbors. We give this beautiful, comfortable home a 10/10 rating and would love to return someday soon. Thanks for sharing it with us!

Great location

The best feature of this property is the location. You are a block away from the beach, as well as right near several parks and a few restaurants. A great getaway spot. This was an excellent vacation home for our family with two young kids and a dog.

The location is wonderful Very close to the beach, 2nd house back Close to several restaurants and the park but far enough so that the beach was not as crowded. Very comfortable and beachy Owners are very nice and very accommodating.

Such a fantastic trip here on Amelia Island. Jim & Judy’s home was so comfortable & cozy. Absolutely an amazing place to stay! And location was prime, only steps away from the beach. Hope to go back someday.

A very comfortable apartment.

Everything we needed for our weekend was there. In addition there were 2 wonderful rocking chairs on the porch to rock and enjoy listening to the surf.

Birthday weekend

From check in to check out it was perfect. The rental was spotless! The beds and linens where super comfy and soft. Great towels for bathing and a fully stocked kitchen. We can wait to book again!! Thank u Jim and Judy for sharing some of your paradise with us!!

Terrific little rental!

My three grandkids and I really enjoyed our stay! The rental is on the ground floor of the house (owners are up top), and we found it very clean and close to the beach (steps away), in a quiet, more residential area. We had no trouble eating in a couple of nights as the kitchen was well-stocked with equipment, but it is just a 5 minute car trip to the historic area and numerous restaurants. Thank you, Judy and Jim!

Most comfy vacation rental ever

We are so glad we found this place! It is so comfortable, clean, quiet and is such a great location. It had everything we needed for our home base for our week in Fernandina. We’ve stayed in a lot of rentals on this trip and so far this is the best. Mainly due to comfortable furniture, being super clean and everything in good working order. Plus walking location to beach and several good restaurants. They even supplied beach towels and beach chairs! You cannot go wrong renting this lovely place.

Just right, Quiet and very comfortable

We are familiar with Amelia Island and this location is perfect for beach access (it does NOT get any closer) and it is on the north end of the island with great access to the best restaurants. Our hosts made certain we were comfortable and they welcomed our Dog who also had a stellar experience. The value was excellent. We have stayed all over Florida and this property is not just the best place to stay on the best island. it has the friendliest proprietors as well. We would never stay anywhere else!

Perfect location

Judy and Jim were so nice and accommodating!! Amelia island and the property itself are perfect for a relaxing beach vacation. It’s steps away from the beach, a short drive to Walmart/Publix, and short drives to the surrounding state parks. My fiancé and I wanted to fish and shell/shark tooth hunt, both were successful! We visited Fort Clinch beach 3 times, Little Talbot Island state park & Amelia island state park. We plan to come back and explore more of the state parks in the future!

Very close to beach and quiet. Parking out front is helpful and useful for renters. Lovely yard with great deck on south side. Walking distance to restaurants and state parks. very little traffic because it is off the beaten track. Love to shark tooth hunt and watch pelicans.

Staying a week is definitely the way to go at Pelican Palms. The rate is reduced and allows two people to stay cheaper. The rate includes two people with $65 up charge for each person, up to 4 people. We are definitely the cheapest stay on the beach with the most to offer.
