Trädgårdslägenhet i elegant, rymligt gammalt Tavira radhus, perfekt läge

Idealiskt beläget på en bred trädkantad aveny, bara 2 minuters promenad från järnvägsstationen och 8 minuters promenad från stadens centrum. Den här bekväma lägenheten har den sällsynta funktionen bland radhus - en stor trädgård med orange och citronträd . Lägenheten är bottenvåningen i ett gammalt hus, byggt runt 1800-talets början när taket var högt, fönster utsmyckade och det fanns en allmän känsla av rymlighet. Det har renoverats vackert och behåller många av de charmiga gamla funktionerna (som en praktisk brunn precis utanför bakdörren!) och moderniseras i enlighet med samma humör. Det finns tre sovrum: två dubbelrum och en tvilling och två badrum. Luftkonditionering i två av sovrummen. Den luftkonditionerade matplatsen och det angränsande köket har båda höga dubbeldörrar som vetter mot en helt avskild, asfalterad uteplats med bistrobord och stolar, precis perfekt för en solig frukost - eller för en skuggig eftermiddagste på sommaren! Utanför matsalen ligger den "tunna" - ett mysigt kvällsrum med två bekväma soffor och en stor fåtölj. Huset ligger på gångavstånd från allt det vackra Tavira har att erbjuda och är perfekt för en bilfri semester. Men för dem med bilar finns det parkering på meter mittemot huset och gratis parkering i närheten. Huset ligger mittemot ett litet, mycket lugnt torg med exotiska träd och blommor som har två kaféer och en bagare. Det finns också en Lidl-mataffär som är undangömd vid järnvägsstationen, 2 minuters promenad från huset. Även om Avenida bara några minuters promenad från stadens centrum är Avenida tillräckligt avlägsen från stadens centrum för att undvika buller och är ett område som mestadels är "portugisiskt" snarare än "turistiskt". Det är en bred gata, bara upptagen vid Taviras mycket blygsamma "rusningstid" (Tavira är en extremt lugn liten stad), och på båda sidor fodrad med jacaranda och andra träd. Lovely quirky place good garden to sit out for breakfast and some shade lovely fruit trees apartment well equipped Constant very ameniable as we arrived early and he provided me with a electric juicer for our morning orange juice! The apartment is in a central location short walk into the town.

We had a lovely stay here, the house was ideally placed about a 7 min walk to the main square where there was entertainment every night.The house is well stocked with hand soap, toilet paper, dish washing liquid, cloths, tea bags, coffee, sugar, milk and a bottle of wine was left for us arriving, a thoughtful touch. There were also cleaning supplies and laundry liquid and softener, we replaced anything we finished. We found the house comfortable, the beds especially so, as the mattress are firm. We loved the garden and made full use of it, but be warned there are mosquitoes lots of them and we were all badly bitten the first night. The house is comfortable and well loved, the only problems we found were the glass panels above bedroom doors, if anyone was in the lounge, at night the light shone into the bedrooms through the glass, which was a problem if anyone went to bed early. The other thing was the mirrors in the bedroom and back bathroom, none of our party of 5 adults could see in them as they were hung so high up! We had to buy small mirrors for shaving and doing makeup and hair. We would highly recommend this apartment.

Brilliant house, location, and landlord.

This beautiful house was a great introduction to a 2 week visit to Tavira. The garden provided space for dining and yoga as well as a variety of citrus fruits for cooking. The house was large, comfortable and attractive. Public transit was easily available and good walking to attractio s.

Funky Boho Beach vibe in Perfect Village

Charming 1905 apartment with high high ceilings and a fun boho vibe. Best part was the garden out back where we enjoyed breakfast and cocktails. Beautiful village, great location. The host was helpful and kind.

5 days in Tavira

We were met by Constant at the property. Unfortunately the electric went off which we discovered was a power outage throughout Portugal after he left.Constant did not contact to see if we were ok. Constant didn't leave a small welcome pack which is usually provided when we have stayed in other accomodation.The house is quite old and quirky but had all the essentials The beds very comfortable.The house was in a good location close to the main town and Lidl just up the road. Unfortunately the house is next door to a primary school so from 9am -4pm the garden is not peaceful. We had screaming children most of the day so avoided sitting in the garden at this time.There are some lovely restaurants close by.

Good location

Quirky, traditional property with vintage charm, now ready for some TLC. Great location for the centre; 5 minute walk to Ponte Romana, bars and restaurants. The garden was a real bonus.

wonderful home great spot

thank you, we had a wonderful stay, lovely home really good location, only lost a star at the end because a couple of little things were broken (a couple of lights, one of the loungers..) and only possibly because they hadn't been reported before. otherwise really lovely spot for a restful easy holiday! happy to recommend, and look forward to coming again.

Wonderful apartment with lemon trees

We had a fantastic week-long stay at Constant’s garden apartment. Our kids loved the backyard, finding fallen lemons (we made lemonade). The apartment is quiet, comfortable, and easy asking distance to anything in the city centre. The friendly pasteleria just across the road was our go to for morning coffee. Constant was communicative and responsive . Highly recommend for a stay with kids!

A quirky , traditional home with great outdoor space

We loved Tavira , a great mix of nationalities , ex pats and Portuguese. A relaxed vibe with small shops and plenty of cafes to people watch . Location of apartment was 5 min walk to Lidl and train station . Walk down to ferry to access beach was about 15/20 mins. The enclosed garden is a lovely space and we spent a lot of time there ,listening to the swallows Apartment has everything a family would need and it has a useful utility room . This isn’t a modern ‘done up ‘,shiny ,bland apartment… it looks/feels well lived in, but in a good way

Typical Portuguese home

Our host met us at the apartment for check in. The property was a little older than we thought but there are a lot of similar homes in the neighbourhood. All the basics were in the apartment. Given the proximity to the beaches on Ilha da Tavira, a few beach towels would be appreciated to save luggage space. We loved the patio/ garden space where we were almost exclusively when at home. It was neat having a citrus orchard and to pick up fresh lemons daily. The town itself is beautiful with lots of shops, cafes and restaurants. Our host, Constant responded quickly to inquiries and dealt with a small issue within a couple of hours. We will remember this property. Thank you Constant!

Remarkable Town House

Our family of four persons enjoyed the stay in this spacious and quite town house with excellent air conditioning, a lovely garden including a grill and many trees very much. We spread out to using three beedrooms as well as the huge living room. The kitchen is well equipped and there is a separate room with a washing machine in the garden. The train station as well as a supermarket are very close and many recommend places like the castle and the museum are in walking distance of 5 - 10 minutes, the ferry to the beach ca. 15 minutes. As for the nearby restaurants and and bakeries, it is hard to decide as so many are outstanding yet affordable, not to forget the surprisingly high quality restaurant actually right to the next door as well as the small take away shop close to the rail way. The short walk down the city center - especially for the concerts starting at 22:00 a clock - can be improved by not using the main road, but also the side roads providing a unique Tavira feeling. We enjoyed our stay very much and recommend it also to families who seek a balance between outgoing and a quite hiding spot. Besides, we appreciated the ability to discover further spots on the Algarve by using the nearby train station, e.g. to visit Fuzeta, Faro or opposite direction Spain. Last not least the appartment offers a good WLAN, a TV, books a vacuum cleaner, the mentioned washing mashine, and - given this hot summer - an appreciated excellent air conditioning.

Tavira trip

It was a wonderful old house in an excellent part of Tavira. We had access to all the good shops and a larger grocery store. There was an excellent bakery coffee shop nearby. Our host was available when we needed him.

Absolutely Delightful

We loved our stay in Tavira. The house was a delight in terms of comfort; proximity to the town and its amenities and within walking distance to Nature. We are going back with very fond memories and hope to return soon. Thanks for being a fantastic host.

La estancia fue maravillosa. Cercana al centro de la ciudad y bien comunicado con las autovías . La casa amplia y limpia , la pena no poder disfrutar mucho por las noches de la terraza por los mosquitos. Por lo demas todo muy bien.

Lovely old apartment with beautiful garden

Lovely spacious apartment in old building. Constantin was a very communicative host and his lovely friend Jane was there to meet us on arrival. The apartment is well equipped with everything you could need for your stay. Highlight for us was the beautiful garden shaded by orange and lemon trees that was ideal for lazy days at home. Approx 7 to 10 min walk to centre of old town .., possibly a bit longer on the way back because it was uphill! Nothing a fit person couldn’t manage tho’.Our fourth trip to Tavira and this must rate as oneof the nicest places we have stayed.

I love this house - particularly the unusual things like the little well by the outdoor kitchen - or what used to be the outdoor kitchen and is now one of several store rooms. I have tried to keep the spirit of the old house while making it thoroughly comfortable to live in.

Varför värden valde detta boende

Tavira is the most beautiful town in the Algarve - easily! And this is a great location in Tavira - on a beautiful Avenida, with local bars and cafés, close to the railway station, a handy supermarket nearby, and just a short stroll down the Avenue to the centre of town. So you can easily walk to all the tourist-ey things, and also easily get away from them to come 'home'.

The garden is the main benefit - it is so unusual to have a property with a garden in Tavira. And this is a good-sized garden, about 30m (100ft, more or less) long, full of fruit trees. There is a walled terrace, as well as a partly-covered patio area. The house has a very spacious, elegant feel - I loved it as soon as I saw it, even totally dilapidated. Now I am very proud of it.
