Vackra Harbourside Listade Coastguard Cottage, Snowhill, West Wittering

Vacker klass 2 stuga 200 meter från den skyddade tidvattnet Snowhill Creek vid ingången till Chichester Harbour. Med Sailing Club mittemot, och en kort promenad till den berömda West Wittering stranden, Windsurfing Club, fågelreserver och National Trust sanddyner i East Head.

Stugan är en del av en rad med tidigare Coastguard Cottages, byggd omkring 1833, med liten trädgård framtill och en liten gård bak. Tre sovrum bestående av dubbelsäng, två singlar och mindre sovrum på bottenvåningen med våningssäng. Stugan är liten och kompakt och perfekt formad! Det är mysigare än vad fotona indikerar!

Tillfälligt medlemskap i segelklubb kan vara tillgängligt och kräver att du kontaktar Sailing Club-sekreteraren via deras webbplats. Dessutom har vi kontakter med många av de lokala seglingsinstruktörerna. Segling är möjlig två till tre timmar vardera sidan om högvatten.

The best thing about this property is the comfortable beds and clean fresh linen. I thought the kitchen wasn’t as clean as it could’ve been. We managed to clean a pan we used but the oven and cupboards need a good clean.

Julian is such a friendly and very helpful person. Whenever I had a question he came over or called me back.The cottage is a lovely place to stay, everything one might need is in the kitchen and bathroom. The beds and linen very very comfortable. I was surprised how quiet the neighbourhood is, not only during the night, but also during the days, no noise at all! The beach is nearby, a little grocery store and a pub in the villge. My little son enjoyed surfing class in the club and we had a fantastic family holiday there. We will definitively come back!

This is such a special place! The location is incredible - both very quiet and close to the beach and within easy reach of West Wittering centre. The garden stunning and beautifully maintained, and the house is comfortable and very homely. It is an old house which has not been refurbished for quite some time - the age shows, but it is very clean and clearly lovingly maintained. The beds are very comfortable and the kitchen very well kitted out (the downstairs bedroom, which we didn't use, is perhaps the least nice part of the cottage - tiny for a bunk bed, a bit dark, and a bit musty with a powerful air freshener used to mask that). All in all, we loved out stay at the cottage and hope to be back in the future!

This was our third stay at the cottage. We keep coming back as the cottage and the location are perfect for us and our golden retriever. We enjoyed our stay very much! Such a beautiful and peaceful spot.

A lovely bolt hole

We had a wonderful stay at the Coastguards. We’re regular visitors of west wittering and the location is perfect for exploring the beach and local area. A very comfortable and functional place for the family. We would have loved a bbq! The kitchen was a little dated but we spent little time in the cottage as we were out and about enjoying crabbing, beach walks, the local pub and Chichester. Thank you!

A perfect hideaway…

We absolutely loved our little cottage … a perfect place for a time away from the hubbub. Quiet & peaceful - with breakfast, lunch & aperitivi in the sheltered little front garden. Cottage well equipped for everything… cooking, relaxing - and a fabulous location.

Cosy New Year break

Four nights arranged around a wedding. Lovely location with great coastal walks. Dog heaven. Great little cottage well equipped and comfortable beds. Internet is v slow but probably inevitable being at “end of the line”. TV kept needing to buffer so take books!
