Mejeriet Àr en charmig klassificerad ladugÄrdsomvandling som grÀnsar till bondgÄrden och konverterades nyligen (av de nuvarande Àgarna) frÄn tvÄ lador, som tidigare var en mjölkningsstuga och svin. Den har ett ljust vardagsrum / matrum med vÀlvt tak, mysig vedbrÀnnare och franska dörrar ut mot gÄrden och trÀdgÄrden; tvÄ dubbelrum, tvÄ badrum och ett modernt fullt utrustat kök. Det Àr modernt stil och har dekorerats med lokala konstverk. Mejeriet har sin egen enhet med parkering för tvÄ bilar och vi vÀlkomnar vÀlskötta hundar.
The Dairy ligger i ett lugnt lÀge och har utsikt över gÄrden och trÀdgÄrden med uteplats och stolar och en grill. TrÀdgÄrden Àr terrasserad över tre grÀsmatta nivÄer och perfekt för trÀdgÄrdsspel. Den har en trÀdsvÀngning och en nedsÀnkt trampolin. Mejeriet var en gÄng en del av Tretheague Estate med dess klass II-listade georgiska herrgÄrd byggd 1744 av arkitekten Thomas Edwards. Alla de gamla lantbruksbyggnaderna Àr nu ÄterstÀllda och kompletterar denna hÀrliga lilla by: Tretheague Barton, The Farmhouse, The Cottage, The Dairy, The Piggery, The Granary och The Smithy. Mejeriet ligger i utkanten av byn Stithians och Àr perfekt belÀget för att utforska bÄde norra och södra kusten i Cornwall. Truro, Helford Passage, Helston, Redruth och Camborne Mining Heritage, Newquay, St Ives, Padstow, Lizard, Lands End, Penzance, Mousehole Àr alla inom rÀckhÄll.

Wir waren absolut begeistert von der Scheuen und der Ausstattung, aber vor allem auch von der Freundlichkeit und Hilfsbereitschaft von Jane und Gwyn. Dairy Cottage

Such a great and peaceful place to stay in Cornwall! The cottage had everything we needed. My family and dogs enjoyed it; we felt right at home. Most of all, the host was so lovely and kind, the welcome pack was so beautiful. We would love to stay at Dairy cottage again and will recommend it to family and friends.

Idyllic and cozy holiday home

The converted barn has a lot of charm and is located nearby a small village that is well suited for trips to the south and central Cornwall. Jane is truly a friendly, attentive and generous host.

Sehr schöne Unterkunft, mit viel Liebe zum Detail

Eine Unterkunft in der wir uns von Anfang an sehr wohl gefĂŒhlt haben. Wir wurden begrĂŒĂŸt mit selbstgemachten Scones. Der KĂŒhlschrank war mit dem Notwenigsten befĂŒllt, Brot und Wein gab's ebenfalls. Die KĂŒche ist top ausgestattet. Auch grundlegende Dinge wie Salz, Öl, KĂŒchenrollen, Alufolie, Frischhaltefolie usw. sind vorhanden. Die sehr netten Vermieter wohnen auch auf dem GrundstĂŒck. Das stört aber ĂŒberhaupt nicht. Sie haben sehr viel Liebe zum Detail bei der Einrichtung und bei vielen kleinen Aufmerksamkeiten. Wir wĂŒrden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen, wenn es uns noch einmal nach Cornwall verschlĂ€gt!

Lovely getaway in Cornwall

Urlaub in Cornwall

Das Cottage bei Jane und Gwyn ist ein/e sehr stilvoll umgebauter Scheune/Stall, bei dem man stellenweise das alte Mauerwerk sichtbar gelassen hat. Wir wurden dort sehr freundlich begrĂŒĂŸt. Die Wohnung ist mit allem ausgestattet, was man in den Ferien braucht. ZusĂ€tzlich gab es zur BegrĂŒĂŸung Scones mit clotted cream und der KĂŒhlschrank war mit Orangensaft, Butter, Eiern und Milch gefĂŒllt. Weiter gab es eine Flasche Wein, Brot und leckere Kekse. Das Cottage liegt sehr ruhig und der nĂ€chste Ort Stithians mit Einkaufsladen und Pub ist auch mit dem Fahrrad in wenigen Minuten zu erreichen. Die Vermieter sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir können die Unterkunft sehr empfehlen.

Comfort and birdsong.

A delightful, cosy barn conversion next to the owner’s beautiful granite farmhouse was our shelter for the week. Extremely comfy beds, a cosy wood burner, soft sofas and well equipped kitchen and bathrooms. The grounds were full of wild primroses and nesting birds. Beautiful Cosy Dairy

We needed a last minute stay and what a find 😃 stunning old dairy barn stocked with everything you could possibly need. So comfortable, we felt at home as soon as we walked in. We highly recommend.

No pictures of front of property

Property was very nice,although we has a smell of damp in the cupboards. The outside photo's did not show the sleeper steps to get to each level of garden, the first was about 8 sleepers on edge then a 3 steps and again another 3 steps. Big field to walk dog was not low grass,when l threw the ball for our lab it dissapeared into the grass never to be seen again,l suggest getting the local sheep or goats to eat it back. The front had parking for one car there.

Auf dem Land und doch sehr zentral

Schöner Urlaub in Cornwall

Wir haben uns sehr wohl in der Dairy gefĂŒhlt. Unser Gastgeber waren super nett und haben uns bei Fragen stets geholfen. Cornwall ist einfach eine sehr schöne Urlaubsregion, wenn das Wetter stimmt. Wir hatten das GlĂŒck. Die Unterkunft liegt sehr lĂ€ndlich aber trotzdem sehr Zentral um schöne AusflĂŒge zu unternehmen.

Wunderschön!

England steht immer mal wieder auf unserer Urlaubsliste. Cornwall hat es fĂŒr uns perfekt gemacht. Unsere Unterkunft, eine hĂŒbsche umgebaute Molkerei "the Diary" war einfach nur schön, komfortabel, und ruhig gelegen. Jane und Gwyn sind sehr herzliche und sympathische Gastgeber. Von dem Ort aus kann man sehr viele Ausflugsorte erreichen. Wir können es nur empfehlen.

The Dairy at Stithians

A wonderful place to stay to explore and take in the wonders of Cornwall. Hosts Jane and Gwyn were very welcoming and their beautiful dog Nala made a great companion for walks through the adjoining fields.The house is charming and very well presented, living up to our expectations, then some. The property is highly recommended for four people wishing to be located in the heart of the best parts of Cornwall.

Perfect base to explore with a toddler and dog

Thank you Jane and Gwyn for a wonderful stay! The Dairy had everything we needed for our stay, and it was lovely to meet our hosts and their dog Nala when we checked in. The welcome pack was amazing - a cream tea, milk, butter and wine! Well equipped kitchen, comfy beds and lots of handy local info. The garden was amazing, our toddler loved the trampoline and dog enjoyed mooching around in the field.

5 star holiday cottage

Our second visit in 4 months to this superb cottage that truly is 5 star +! The cottage is perfect in every way, has everything you'll need and is in a great location to explore all of Cornwall. We'll certainly be going again!

Jane And Gwyn would love to welcome you to the Dairy. We have been living in Cornwall since 2002 and absolutely love the life we have. We have two children Bethany and Benjamin 19 and 17 respectively. We moved to Stithians in 2007 and converted the barn initially as ancillary accommodation for relatives and now have recently updated it for holiday letting. We are happy to help in anyway we can to make your holiday as pleasant and enjoyable as possible.

Varför vÀrden valde detta boende

The Dairy sits in a nice little hamlet of five or six renovated barns but still close to the village . Stithians is a great location as it is equidistant from the bustling harbour town of Falmouth with its quaint cobbled streets and plethora of bars and restaurants and the city of Truro with its cathedral, shops, and further choice of restaurants. Also being in the middle of the county its great for the choice of north or south coasts , just get up, look at the sky and choose the best coast for the weather
