Tinner's Cottage ligger på den stora marken i en Cornish Tin Mine Engine House, som går tillbaka till 1850-talet. Stugan är stor och rymlig och rymmer upp till 6 personer plus ett spädbarn i en barnsäng mycket bekvämt.

På första våningen har fastigheten 2 stora sovrum. Sovrum 1 har en king size-säng och sovrum 2 har 2 enkelsängar. Det finns också ett badrum med badkar och en separat duschkabin på denna våning.

Bottenvåningen har en öppen planlösning, kök, matsal. Även på denna våning finns det 3: e sovrummet med dubbelsäng och badrum.

Vi erbjuder en barnstol och en barnsäng i full storlek med madrass gratis (vi tillhandahåller inte linne för barnsängen)

Stugan har Wifi, TV, elektrisk ugn och spis, diskmaskin, kyl, mikrovågsugn och är mycket välutrustad.

Det finns också ett tvättstuga med tvättmaskiner, torktumlare, strykbräda / strykjärn.

El, värme och sänglinne ingår i tulltaxan.

En uteplats med bord och stolar är på framsidan av stugan, med ett område som ligger på gräsmattan och vid sidan av fastigheten finns det ett stort toppfält, där bollspel etc kan spelas.

Det finns gott om parkering för 2 + bilar.

Ett offentligt hus, bageri, gårdsbutik ligger i byn.

Närmaste postkontor ligger vid Mount Ambrose.

Supermarknader är Tesco & Aldi på Redruth, Tesco Extra vid poolen och Sainsbury's på Truro.

Tinners cottage

We really enjoyed our stay. The cottage is in a beautiful location and is ideally situated for visiting that part of the north Cornish coast.

Lovely cottage, peaceful and good location for exploring

Had a great stay, nice and peaceful, spacious cottage with all the facilities you could need.....only half and hour drive to most places I wanted to see, and less than 10 mins to the beach at porthtowan...bakery down the street was also amazing....

Holiday with granddaughters

Exactly as featured on website in quiet, safe surroundings only 10minutes from a beach and with easy access to A30 for visiting a couple of attraction in Cornwall. . A minor downside was to be expected in an old cottage, but the creaky floors unsettled our granddaughters when trying to get to sleep at night. This would not stop us coming back in the future. Thanks for arranging beautiful weather for our week!

A comfortable and enjoyable stay

We enjoyed our visit to the cottage. It was spacious and comfortable. Plenty of kitchen equipment, good beds and shower facilities. The one small issue we had was the lack of outside area where our dog could roam free. The hosts were very helpful and accessible by email or phone.

Property was impeccably clean and thoughtfully laid out. Location was impressive with engine house opposite a delight especially lit up at night. Will be returning in the future.

Stunning views

Lovely cottage with great sized rooms. We had a lovely stay and the views were amazing. The cottage was central to many places and there were supermarkets very close by. We went for a meal at the Inn for all seasons which was nearby - truly amazing food. The carvery was outstanding so well worth a visit! We had an issue with the WiFi but June responded straight away and it was sorted.

Easter at Tinner's Cottage

Just spent a lovely week at Tinner's Cottage. Location is just outside Redruth, easy access to Porthtowan Beach as well as many others. Situated 5 min walk to the Mineral Tramway which was perfect for cycling or off lead dog walking (although it does cross a road now and again). Cycled along the track to Portreath Beach in less than an hour. Local Farm Shop (Ehterington's) and Prima Bakery were excellent. The beds were really comfy and the bathrooms felt fairly new and very clean. The main engine house is privately owned. There are 2 adjoining holiday cottages with a shared outdoor space. Each cottage has it's own table and chairs. The garden is not entirely enclosed, so dogs need to be supervised, but this was not an issue for us. We were the only people staying and dog only went out with us on lead anyway. The large garage with washing machines and somewhere to put the bikes was really useful. Although I booked through Vrbo, communication with the owners was excellent - always on the end of a phone. We will be back. I've stayed in several places in the area and this is one of our favourites.

Great location, practical family accommodation

The property has everything a family requires. It is practically furnished , plenty of space in the two upstairs bedrooms, good wardrobe and drawer space in bedrooms . The kitchen is well equipped with a very good range of utensils and pans etc. The fridge in the kitchen is small to fit under the units but there is a fridge and freezer in the garage that is useful for families who are self catering . There are two bathrooms with very good showers and plentiful hot water. I would imagine it’s very cosy in winter and was quite cool in the heat we had last week . The owners were very quick to respond to any email . The caretaker was friendly and helpful on recommendations for eating . The cottage was perfectly positioned to access any beaches with a very short journey to the A30. Porthtowan was lovely with a stunning walk at low tide to Chapel Porth. We were lucky with very hot weather and the clear, clean blue sea and white sand we could have been in the Caribbean !

A Lovely quaint cottage within quiet location

We enjoyed our stay in Tinners cottage. It was extremely clean and comfortable. Communication with the hosts was excellent and the suggestions in the leaflet were very useful.

Great location with peace and quiet

Easy to get to, being a mile off the A30. Cottage is well thought out and had everything we needed. Super location and easy to get to all areas of Cornwall.

Great place to stay from which to explore Cornwall

Great sized property with plenty of space (particularly outside) with lovely unique features in a lovely quiet location but with access to lots of local amenities and main roads to access the wider area. The place was spotless when we checked in - really clean and tidy with everything we needed to make a self catering holiday work. We were really impressed and will stay here again when next holidaying in Cornwall.

Wonderful week at the Tinner’s Cottage

We just had a wonderful week staying at the Tinner’s Cottage. The cottage was clean, well equipped and comfortable for our party of 3 adults, 2 teenage boys and a dog. The cottage is easy to find a short distance from the A30 and it’s rural location was very quiet and peaceful. There is a great farm shop within walking distance and a lovely bakery not too far away. There are many beautiful beaches a short drive away, many dog friendly all year round. The cottage is also in a great location for exploring lots of Cornwall and it’s many attractions. The owners were quick to respond to our booking enquiry and ensured we had all the information we needed ahead of arrival. Would definitely recommend the cottage and hope to return ourselves.

Excellent cottage & location. Several superb beaches within easy reach. Will definitely be back.

The cottage was very clean & spacious. Extensive grounds with large grassed area for ball games. Grandchildren loved it. Easy reach of all supermarkets.

Lovely cottage

The cottage was great and the location really ideal for us, for visiting family and the local attractions. The cottage had everything you need for staying over and it was very quiet.
