Modern and open floor plan. This 2 bedroom 2 bath with outdoor shower and dressing room accommodates a small family , small group or a couple .
Lots of deck space upstairs and downstairs, large yard.Covered parking for 2 cars also street parking . Moments to a beautiful and secluded beach, no vehicles allowed. The bay is also a few blocks away where you can drop a boat in. Restaurants and nightlife are close by.Just pack your bathing suit , beach towels are included.

Perfect stay for a long weekend at the beach

Wonderful home just a short walk to the beach. The weather was perfect, the house was tidy and fully stocked. Had a wonderful time and can’t wait to visit again!

Fantastic Week at Captain's Quarters

My wife and I had another fantastic stay @ Captain's Quarters only a few steps away from Palm Beach. Everything at the house was ideal and as always; a clean, well-stocked, and fabulous vacation home. Great October weather made for a perfect experience!

Galveston Beach Cabin

Labor Day Weekend Stay

Stayed here with my husband and daughter with toddler and infant. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house is spacious and and clean and a short walk to the beach (which was very clean).

Vacation

Very nice place to stay and very clean! The beach was a couple minute walk away. Very good communication with owners. We stayed 3 nights and enjoyed our first vacation in Galveston.

Beautiful place minus the hurricane

We loved the first day and then hurricane beryl hit and knocked out the power. Barbara was great and her house was so beautiful! We'll do it again minus the hurricane.

Wonderful Pirates Beach Experience!

The beach house was even nicer than the photos and descriptions indicated. Very clean and the wrap around deck is a winner. A couple of minutes walk to a wonderful beach experience. We had a fantastic stay and would definitely visit this property again.

Another great visit!

My wife and I had another excellent stay at Pirates Beach. Everything was wonderful. House was clean with great amenities; and the proximity to the beach was fabulous (5 minute walk). Our 3rd stay at this property. Thanks Barbara!

Wonderful experience

My family enjoyed this beautiful beach home. It was about a 3 minute walk to the beach. The owners were very helpful and answered all our questions. The street where the house is located was very quiet, which we loved. Plus the beach wasn't crowded at all. Will be staying again.

Great house for weekend getaway

This is our second stay at this place. The accommodations are great and the place is clean. Communication with the owner is easy. Instructions are clear. The house is away from the hustle and bustle, but not too far out of town. Will be back.

needed a quiet getaway

This house is in a great location to private beach and has all the conveniences you need. Owner easy to reach for any information needed. Streaming service on tv had some difficulty but owner to meet with them to fix problem immediately after we left. Had a great quiet time which is exactly what we needed.

Two old ladies have great time

My friend and I - two sixty plus women - had a great time in this house. While it seemed generally oriented toward families with kids and is by no means swanky, we enjoyed ourselves thoroughly. (The house could use some real glassware for adult use, though. Hate drinking wine out of plastic glasses, so we actually went out and bought two funky wine glasses - the only ones we could find.) The beds were comfortable and supportive, everything was clean, truly a short walk to the beach, great location. Tremendously enjoyed sitting on deck watching the sunsets towards the bay (sipping said wine) - and, oh yes, great view of sunrise as well. We would rent here again!

Great house in awesome location

This house was perfect for our family. The house was far enough away from the main part of Galveston that we didn't have to bother with much traffic or noise on a busy weekend. However, it was close enough that if we wanted to go out to eat or see some of the sites, it only took us 10 to 15 minutes to be where we wanted to be. We have small children, so it was great for our baby to be able to get around without any trouble. Our older kids loved the bunk beds. The location to the beach (about one block) was awesome--no major roads between us and the water. They even had a wagon that we used to carry the chairs and boogie boards down to the water and back. Hose and downstairs shower made it easy to rinse off before tracking sand inside the house. The kitchen was great size for us to entertain some of our local family. The outside deck was great for just enjoying the great ocean breeze. And the washer/dryer set made it easy for us to keep things clean and dry when needed. The owner were great and friendly. They were available to help us if we needed anything. They had plenty of beach towels available for us to use which prevented us from having to bring or buy them. They use the house regularly so they kept some items in the house that we could use if needed like Ziploc bags or sugar for coffee. All you had to do was replace anything that you might have over used. We will be staying here again!

Labor Day Weekend

It’s a nice property close to the beach about a 4-5 minute walk. When we arrived the temperature in the house was 83 degrees! We turned down the AC TO 74. It was set at 79. Over the next hour the temperature increased to 84. We messaged the owner and an AC repair person came out quickly and recharged the system. They also came back the next day and checked the system and found a slow leak outside on the unit. They said they would be back after we checked out to fix it… it finally reached a comfortable temperature in the unit around 5:00 in the afternoon…other than that, no issues that were major…. Overall we enjoyed our stay and found the house enjoyable. The Master bedroom bed was very comfortable. We brought our own pillows so that also was a plus. The only things we noticed negative about the house besides the AC which was fixed promptly when owner was notified was some items needing repaired… the upstairs shower was not working well and needed a new part that controls the water from shower to tub. We used the shower off the kitchen and it was fine. The ice maker in fridge did not work. Other then that, just cosmetic things in and around the property. We were overall happy with our stay and would recommend to others.

Everything was amazing. We go to Galveston every year and the whole family agreed this was 100% the best place we have stayed by far. Easy access to the beach. In a place that’s not too crowded, and the place was nice.

Galveston getaway

The house was clean and just a short walk to the beach. The downstairs shower area was great after playing on the beach, and we were sure appreciative of all the beach items (boogie boards, wagon, chairs, umbrella, etc). We were somewhat disappointed that the grill mentioned was a small George Foreman and we couldn’t even use it outside on the upper deck because none of the outlets would work for us. We also had some issues with the dish washer, but not a big deal. Otherwise the house came stocked with pretty much all basic necessities to cook/shower/clean with. Check-in was easy enough with clear directions. We loved the location and the cleanliness of the beach as well. The drive to all of the main Galveston attractions was reasonable.

We had a great week staying here, before we even arrived, we recieved a message saying the house was ready a few hours early, we had a few questions and the owner answered immediately. The house is in a quiet little neighborhood that is great for morning and evening walks. There was a wagon to use to take things down to the beach. House came fully stocked with everything you would need to cook, just bring your food and drink. The house was perfectly clean and everything was in great shape. We would definitely stay here again.

Really nice house!

We just returned from a 3 night stay with our grandchildren. The house accommodated us perfectly. The king size bed in the master was comfy. The kids utilized the bunk beds in the second bedroom, along with the sofa bed and the rollaway bed, so we took advantage of all the bed options! Everyone slept comfortably. The house is well stocked. We cooked and ate every meal in the house. The downstairs outside shower was well used. In fact, the kids never once took a bath or shower upstairs. As we left the beach every morning and evening, we ran them through the outside shower, then sent them up wrapped in a towel to get dressed. The beach was a short walk and never crowded. The home owner was great with communication and check in/check out was a simple process. We will definitely try to book this house again next time we feel brave and energetic enough to take 4 kiddos on a beach vacation. We all had a fantastic time!

We live off the Island but close.We renovated this home in 2012. We love to visit Galveston often and take advantage of all it has to offer through out the year. We consider this our home away from home.

Varför värden valde detta boende

We love the Palm Beach neighborhood. It is a small community. The beach is awesome here. There is no car or golf cart traffic on the beach. Limited parking makes this community quiet and rarely crowded. Friendly people everywhere!

Our house is very comfortable and spacious. The beds are very comfortable. If you want to get out of the sun , you can cool off downstairs. A nice breeze flows through and there is good seating and a swing. A downstairs rain shower/ with hot and cold water is very relaxing. Also a private dressing room and toilet. No need to bring the sand inside.
