Fishing Trip

The home met all our needs for a fun and relaxing fishing trip. The lake views were incredible. I asked my sons if they'd do it again, stay at Larson's Cottage, and it was "yes"! Thank you!

fishing trip

Quiet and beautiful area. Great location. Power outlets on side of house & dock perfect for plugging in boats. Nice addition was that the eagle likes to sit in the large tree in front of the house. Would stay again.

Decided to Splurge

Beautiful place with a beautiful view. Three different levels-all with beds. This place is great for bigger families. Beds were comfy. Couches and chairs may need some updating, but I would hope that you are spending more time outdoors to not even really care. Well stocked and clean. A few friendly dogs that may come to greet you. Dock had a hole that will need to be repaired. The weekend we were there - had some neighbors that were a bit loud at night. Hard to describe, but the properties are a bit on top of each other, but for the most part, a very quiet neighborhood so you don't notice. Nice to walk the road. The deck was my favorite part of the place! Perfect location. Easy to get around the area. Owner responsive to questions. Was a bit sad the dart board was broken but plenty of other games if needed. Would highly recommend for any time of the year!

Fishing trip

Great house, great fishing lake and located near a fun town with all the amenities. The pier to the lake is due for some upgrades but other than that all was perfect.

VRBO was clean and quiet. Questions answered very quickly. Just a couple of things we would have liked better: An update on couch and the wildflower patch is beautiful, however so many bees next to swing and kayaks and dock for comfort. Also additional seating for deck. Would rent again however!! Beautiful lake view!!!!

Beautiful Property

Property was absolutely beautiful! Bathrooms, Kitchen and Bedrooms were well stocked, clean and comfortable. Lake was beautiful and mostly private. We received some much need rest and relaxation. Weather wasn’t the best for end of August but that’s out of anyone’s control. Larry was very accommodating and responsive to all questions. Couple minor things were that there is a road (not busy) between house & lake but doesn’t obstruct incredible views. Decorating was impeccable & very north woods log cabin but with every modern amenities. Couches weren’t very comfortable but beds were. Also this is primarily a fishing lake with no marinas for gas or restaurant to stop off at by boat if that’s what your looking for. Nicely situated in between St Germain/Boulder Junction on one side and Minocqua on the other. I would stay here again!

Top notch experience

Larry's cabin was beautiful and had everything we needed. It has been by far the best stocked cabin we've ever stayed when in the northwoods. Loved watching the lake from the patio, kayaking and the fishing was awesome. Got a 23" walleye!! Had an eagle land on the tree next to house and a hummingbird visited the flowers daily. The only thing that was missing that would have made this place perfect was having a washer dryer on the premises. Will definitely book this cabin again!

Family Vacation

Our family of six just spent a week at the Larson's. It is a beautiful cottage. We enjoyed the lake views, fishing from the dock and having bonfires. The kids had fun taking the kayak and paddleboat out as well. One day we saw an eagle in the tree out front and the next day it was perched on one of the benches down by the fire pit-very cool to see one that close! Overall we had a good stay-just a couple of things to note-the neighbors on both sides of the property have dogs who frequently came into the yard and on the dock while we were out there, and the owners of the property came and stayed overnight in the garage without any communication prior to their arrival.

Lovely Week on Little Arb

We loved spending a week at the Larsons cottage. It was so relaxing and peaceful. Beautiful views, lovely lake. I really liked kayaking around the lake and my brother enjoyed fishing. Also enjoyed a campfire on our last night. They have everything you need to enjoy the true Up North.

Family Getaway

Lovely property on beautiful Little Arbor Vitae lake. Cozy northwoods cabin feel with modern amenities. Well stocked, clean, and comfortable. Everyone in our party had a great time. Caught a 43" musky to cap off the week.

Fishing Weekend

We had a great stay and successful fishing. The house was very good and accommodated us well. My only complaint would be to upgrade the fishing boat that was provided with the house. It is in poor condition. We had a great time.

Girls getaway

we really enjoyed our stay here. The house was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. Location was perfect and close to dining and shopping, but still just secluded enough. Would recommend for any size group.

Family Thanksgiving

We have been visiting the north woods for years. It has become a family tradition to be there for thanksgiving and bring back our Christmas tree. Cooked thanksgiving dinner with our kids. Had everything we needed. Would visit again and recommend to others!

3 day weekend motorcycle trip.

Everything great but two minor issues. 1) we had 6 people but there were only 3 bath towels. Had to run to town and buy some, 2) there is no TV on main level.

Family summer vacation

Our family and friends included both adults and small children. We really enjoyed the secluded location yet close to Minocqua, St. Germain and other close by towns. The house had plenty of room for our large group and was well stocked with everything we needed. We would definitely stay here again. The owner was very nice and easy to deal with.

4th time we have stayed here :-)

Our group has has stayed in this great cabin for a week in June each of the past four(!) years. It is very nice, clean, and has great views of the lake. The owner is very friendly and helpful. Its location on Little Arbor Vitae Drive is also excellent. We did regular walks and bike rides on the quiet road because it's alongside the lake and gets very little traffic. The lake itself is great because it's small enough and weedy enough that it has almost no power boat or jet ski traffic. So it's relatively quiet with incredible wildlife (e.g., large numbers of eagles, ospreys and loons) and very good fishing. We even saw a porcupine near the cabin this year. Every year our group looks forward to this trip. This cabin's size, amenities (including Wi-fi this year) and location make it the perfect place for a large group to enjoy a peaceful and enjoyable northwoods vacation.
