Huset är utformat med familjer i åtanke, och det är också bra för små grupper. Många gästhänsyn har beaktats vid upprättandet av denna fastighet - bekväma sängar, vackra sängkläder, väsentliga saker (schampo, duschgel, te, kaffe), snabb WiFi och stor TV med Netflix.

Fastigheten har renoverats och möblerats till en mycket hög standard av ägarna, vilket ger ett utmärkt fritidshus med följande: öppen planlösning, mat och kök, litet tvättrum på bottenvåningen, tre sovrum (ett badrum) och ett badrum på de övre våningarna.

Den mysiga vardagsrummet har en stor läder 3-sits soffa och två fåtöljer runt en elektrisk vedeldad spis. En stor TV är placerad ovanför spisen på skorstensbröstet som är ansluten till en Apple TV-box som har ett Netflix-konto, för de som vill koppla av på en kväll.

Matsalen har ett stort bord och sex stolar och gott om utrymme. Det fullt utrustade lyxiga köket med marmorbänk innehåller en Aga elektrisk ugn / grill och gasspis. En amerikansk stil stor kylfrys med filtrerat vatten och is, mikrovåg, brödrost och diskmaskin.

Utanför köket finns ett litet tvättstuga som har en tvättmaskin torktumlare, tvättställ och en användbar nere toalett. Parkering är på gatan på framsidan av fastigheten med tillstånd.

Bakgården är en vacker plats att sitta på en varm kväll. En perfekt plats för en morgonkaffe-utomhus eller ett kvällsglas vin.

Det stora sovrummet har en king size järn säng, med massor av garderober och ett eget duschrum med handfat och wc. Det bakre sovrummet har en bekväm dubbelsäng, en enkel garderob och en byrå. Loft / tredje sovrummet har två enkelsängar, (var vänlig observera att dessa kan göras upp till en king size-säng - även om gästerna borde vara medvetna om att det här rummet har huvudhöjdbegränsningar inom takytan. Det finns en resesäng tillgänglig för användning.

Det stora badrummet består av ett stort badkar med dusch, wc, bidé och handfat.

Beautiful & well-equipped house inside the city wall

The owners have done a great job. The house is beautifully and tastefully decorated and has everything you could need. The location was perfect - seconds from the wall and under 5 minutes’ walk to the city centre.

Excellent family break location

Wonderful house, very warm, great amenities and easy walk to York city centre. High chair and travel cot provided and lovely bubbles and treats provided. Highly recommend to any one visiting York. Great to have parking provided

Perfect York Stay

This is a great family home within easy walking distance of the city centre. Comfy beds, big fluffy towels, and a very relaxing environment. We loved our stay here!

A lovely place

This house is great, very homely. Close enough to centre of York to be able to walk in and enjoy all York has to offer, yet far enough away to be quiet and relaxing. Have stayed here a number of time and will be staying again.

Home from home

Absolutely wonderful will be back

Absolutely wonderful will be back close to everything yet quiet when need only small niggle would be loose floorboard in top bedroom so any movement was very loud in main bedroom

Great location nice place

We met the grandparents here. They drove but we did it by train. You could easily do York without a car if you stayed here. We walked everywhere including from the train station. I liked how close it was to the wall but it was a quiet location.

Comfort and joy!

The property was better than expected for location and quality. Everything was clean, organised and furnished to high standards with thoughtful amenities provided, even a hairdryer in each room! Quiet area and neighbours. We had a lovely stay, ate at local cafes and went on long wintery walks through historic York.

Family Easter break

Fantastic! The location was brilliant, the house is delightful with plenty of room for all. Lovely little touches by host, like fresh milk, tea, coffee and bottle of fizz. Such a little gem I have recommended to friends already. Stays York were also extremely helpful and really impressed by the curtesy call the day before our trip.

Perfect spot

Lovely property on a very quiet street, but only a 5 minute walk from the town centre. The spec was really high, lovely plush carpets upstairs, and the bathroom and kitchen were better than at home! Lovely little gifts on arrival and nice touches, like having coffee, milk etc. We had one minor problem, resolved by text message within minutes.

A fabulous spot!

I can't imaging a better spot to be in York. A short walk to everything while in a very quiet neighbourhood on a cute little street. The flat was modern and had excellent features and a lovely kitchen. Six of us were comfortable. Having 3 bathrooms was great. The third floor bedroom had very creaky floors over the main bedroom. I would definitely rent this flat again. We all loved it!

Excellent house when visiting York

We stayed as a family of 5 adults, and the layout was ideal - on the ground floor the space was great for socialising with open plan lounge, diner and kitchen, leading to outside space. There is an added bonus of a downstairs toilet. The outside space is compact but catches the sun very nicely during the day, with space for their table and four chairs, and for the dogs to enjoy too. There are then two floors, one with two bedrooms and the main bathroom, with the main bedroom having a lovely ensuite. The second floor has a sloping ceiling, our son is 6ft 2, and just managed - the bed can be made into a kingsize but being tall the headroom is restricted, but manageable. Beds are very comfy. Everywhere clean and well equipped. Location is great, quiet neighbourhood, with amenities close and a lovely street nearby with wine bars, artisan shops and breakfast eateries, in addition to York being a 10 minute walk including a beautiful walk by the river. Overall an excellent place to stay, with great hosts.

Lovely property

This is a lovely property in a really pleasant area which is very close to the centre of York and yet is quiet and peaceful. The property is very clean, well equipped and well presented with comfortable beds and furniture and everything is well maintained apart from a small issue with a bathroom door handle, which is the only reason for the lower rating in the condition category, We were very pleased with the provisions and treats that were left for us and the information provided is done so in a warm and welcoming way so you feel very much at home here. I would definitely stay here again.

Great Property, Great Host, Great Location

The property was perfect for all our needs, kitchen was lovely and beds and baths all spacious, modern and clean. The host helped us out right after we arrived as we were inept with Skeleton keys :-). The location was fantastic, with access to the city wall at the end of the street as well as access to the old city, museums, galleries and shops a short walk over the bridge. We absolutely recommend this property and our thanks to the host for their lovely home and and lots of great information. Joanne

Fabulous introduction to York

This pristine property was perfectly located in York, just a short walk away from so many destinations and attractions, including the wall. My 3 sisters and I, all 45+ years old, found the home welcoming and comfortable during our stay. When we return to York, we would definitely stay here again. Just a gem!!!

This is the perfect home for a visit to York. - immaculately clean and modern. - very quiet - York streets can get pretty noisy at night but this house was super quiet -right in the middle of York. - parking is easy Lovely place to stay.

Perfect base for a mini break in York

We chose Fairfax Street for its central location and family friendly amenities (cot/highchair, parking, etc). The house is on a quiet residential street with ample parking. On arrival the house was clean and tidy, with a thoughtful welcome hamper. The living space is large and comfortable, great for socialising, with a well equipped kitchen. The master bedroom was large, plenty of space even with a cot set up. The other two bedrooms were smaller, but fine for our needs. The location was excellent - just a short walk into the city, lots of cafes/restaurants nearby, and even a small playground at the bottom of the road which was great for our young children (1 and 4 years old). We will definitely stay again if we come back to York.

Modern, Clean and in the Centre of York

Had a wonderful stay at fairfax street and could not recommend this property enough. It was clean, modern and only a 10 minute walk into the centre so extremely convenient. All of the simple things had been thought of like plenty of plates/cutlery, condiments, extension leads, plugs in the right place. To top it off coffee/tea, biscuits and wine provided! It was really helpful to have on street parking. Plenty of spaces however heads up that it is a bit more of a tight squeeze getting out of spaces so choose your space wisely! The only extra touches that would be nice would be a dressing table in the master beadroom and extra bedside table in the attic room. That would just be being very picky though. Thankyou so much for a lovely stay. Also thanks for cleaning so quickly meaning we could check in early. It really meant we could make more of our first day. I would also highly recommend the tomahawk restaurant for anyone that likes steak!

Excellent Location and Accommodation

We really enjoyed our stay at 48 Fairfax Street, York. The property is in excellent condition and perfect location for easy access into York. The property was well equipped and clean. Parking was a bit tricky, large vehicles will struggle through the narrow streets. The owners made us feel welcome, with some treats. Will definitely stay here again.
