Mysig fristående croft stuga ligger nära den största staden Portree, och kan sova upp till fem personer i 3 sovrum (dubbel, tvåbäddsrum och enkelrum).

Det ligger i en stor sluten trädgård med gräsmatta på framsidan. Det finns gott om parkeringsplatser och är omgiven av beskjutande mark och utsikt över bergen. Inuti finns ett nyrenoverat kök som är fullt utrustat och ett familjebadrum med elektrisk dusch. Loungen, matsalen och sovrummen har alla utsikt över croftet och Cullin bergskedjan i fjärran. Stugan drar också nytta av WiFi.

Bekvämligheter: Centralvärme för olja, elektrisk ugn och spis, kyl / frys, mikrovågsugn, diskmaskin, tvättmaskin, torktumlare. Freeview-TV, DVD-spelare, WiFi, urval av böcker och spel och DVD-skivor. Sängkläder och handdukar ingår samt barnstol och barnsäng. Gott om parkering och privat trädgård med möbler. Tyvärr inga husdjur och rökning. Butik och pub 6. 5 miles.

Stugan är idealiskt belägen i hjärtat av Skye på den spektakulära halvön Halvön som innehåller två av Skies mest kända landmärken: Old Man of Storr, en isolerad stenig topp och Quiraing, ett område med dramatiska och ovanliga klippformationer. Halvön inkluderar också platser för att se Dinosaur-fotavtryck (An Corran), Skye Museum of Island-livet samt gravarna i Flora MacDonald och Alexander McQueen. Det är bara 8 miles till färghamnen i Uig, som är porten till de yttre Hebriderna och bara en kort bilresa (6 km) till huvudstaden Portree där du hittar ett bra urval av affärer, ett stort snabbköp och restauranger som passar alla smaker. Dess centrala läge gör det till ett underbart ställe att besöka och utforska den fantastiska ön som nyligen röstades till "mest önskvärda plats att bo" i Storbritannien

Observera att incheckningsdagen alltid är en lördag. Gästerna är välkomna att ha fem eller sex nätter under den veckan, men de får inte överlappa varandra till en andra vecka. Ankomsttid för gästerna är efter 4 timmar och de måste lämna stugan senast 10. 30 på avresedagen.

Wonderful family holiday

We loved our stay; the cottage was clean and had everything we needed - including many small touches (books, games, drying rack, laundry liquid) that made it easier travelling with kids (8 and 10). Check in was a breeze; the location was fantastic. Perfect location for a family holiday. Would definitely return.

We had a wonderful stay in this cozy, spotless Skye cottage. Mairi was a fantastic host—friendly and quick to respond. The beds were super comfortable, and the kitchen spacious and well equipped. Just 9 minutes from Portree, it’s convenient yet perfectly remote for that “end of the world” feeling. Would love to stay here again!

This cottage is an excellent holiday stay for any family. It was extremely comfortable, clean and extraordinarily well equipped. for information, the bathroom is downstairs and third bedroom is very small but we didn’t find this a problem at all Its location is good as well; close to Portree and the main attractions of the Trotternish Peninsula.

Wonderful little cottage!

What a wonderful and cosy cottage! Perfectly equipped (from kitchen to bathroom) and situated in the heart of Skye - a perfect base to explore the stunning nature of Skye. Excellent for families ! Highly recommended!

Great accommodation

We had a great time in Mairi‘s house. It had everything we needed, the kitchen was well equipped, the beds so comfortable :) It was well located for all the trips we did. We always enjoyed coming back in the evening and sitting on the table and enjoying the views. Thank you for everything!!

Home from home

This is a very well equipped property with plenty of space in a prime location to explore what skye has too offer. The whole process and communication with mairi is very good. We spent 5 nights in this property and everyone enjoyed it. Well worth a stay again.

Perfect spot to discover Skye

A lovely cottage big enough for 4 adults and even 2 kids. Everything you possibly need is available. Everything is in good working order and clean at arrival. Very quiet location but only 11 km's from Portree. In the middle of the Isle of Skye, so everything is within a 1-2 hours drive. Gwen and Richard live close by and are very friendly and helpfull. We have stayed here for 3 weeks and still haven't seen everything of this beautiful island. It would almost be unfair to yourself and Skye to stay for a shorter period.

Wonderful

It's hard to find a really perfect holiday property, but this might be it! We had such a great time. Our holiday happened as the Covid lockdown was starting to be eased, and the managers had gone to great lengths to ensure the property was thoroughly cleaned and safe. The house was very comfortable and well-equipped. Wifi speeds were good, which isn't always the case in remote locations. Great location, with views of hills and white cottages, near Portree, and most of the "top attractions" of Skye nearby, on the Trotternish peninsula. Skye is of course a fantastic island to visit. Highly recommended.

Great home away from home

We were traveling for several weeks around England and Scotland, and this was like a vacation on our vacation from the busy city. Great location on the isle (Portree, hiking, castles) and wonderful neighborhood atmosphere (quiet with cows and sheep across the fence). Wonderful kitchen amenities (full size fridge/freezer, pans, utensils - we cooked a family meal every day). Felt homey; we would definitely stay here again! The only downside is that with sunsets at 10:30pm (June), the smaller room with the skylight didn't have the dark shades of the larger rooms, which our 8 year old found challenging. The other minor surprise is that the tv is netflix capable but requires one's own account.

Wonderful holiday

We had some wonderful days in the lovely and very well equipped and tidy cottage. The cottage is very good situated, near Portree, but remote, you can reach the great sites of the island very easily. The house has a wonderful view over a meadow - ideal for us, who came from a big city to relax. We arrived late in the evening but our host William gave us a very warm welcome and showed us around. There are lots of information in the house about walking routes and everything you need in your holiday. We could use it quite good and walked some of the routes. For some guests maybe the WLAN is important - for instance for our teenage daughters - and they said it was excellent. We hope to come back.

Absolutely wonderful!!!!

The house was so warm & cozy. It was more than we could have ever imagined. The view out the large picture windows is breath taking, We hated to leave in the mornings for our excursions. We enjoyed preparing our meals in the spacious kitchen. The kitchen was equipped with everything that you could need. They even had tea, sugar and spices to offer. The washer and dryer were a very nice asset. The house is located in a very nice location to undertake any excursion on the island. We were very well taken care. Every detail was to the letter. Out of all the places we have stayed in our travels this was definitely the BEST!!!! We would recommend this wonderful house to all our friends and family.

Peaceful cottage ideal for exploring Skye

This lovely modernised cottage gave us a wonderful base from which to explore Skye. Only 5 miles from Portree and its many restaurants, the cottage's location is ideal for seeing the upper and central parts of the island, including the spectacular scenery of the Cuillin Mountains and Trotternish. If you like to hike ask the caretakers Maureen and Mike if you borrow some of their Ordinance Survey maps for the area. We hiked every day and found the maps invaluable. You can reach some excellent restaurants. Besides the Rosedale Hotel and Sea Breezes in Portree, you can easily drive to The Three Chimneys (world-class cuisine) and The School House in Dunvegan, If the weather's good, you can walk a few yards down to the main road and see unforgettable sunsets. The cottage is well-equipped and comfortable. Plenty of heat and an open fire if you need it. We plan to return as soon as possible.

Ein typisches Croft Haus, wunderschön gelegen und total authentisch. Die Küche ist recht neu und modern.Der Rest ist älter, super ausgestattet mit Allem was man braucht und vielen schönen Büchern.Man fühlt sich in die gute heile Welt zurück gesetzt.Das Haus hat eine gute Heizung und ist kuschelig warm .Die Besitzerin und die Dame die sich kümmert sind unglaublich nett.Wir hatten ein Problem und sofort Hilfe...und damit einen wunderschönen gemeinsamen Abend erlebt.Danke für Alles.
