Välkommen till Nut House på Sunfish Lake! Kom för avkoppling eller äventyr!

Sätt dina fötter upp i vår avkopplande 3 sovrum, 2 badrumsfamilj stuga. Befälhavaren har en king size-säng, eget badrum och klädkammare, medan de andra två sovrummen har queen size-sängar, byråer och garderober för din användning. Du hittar köket fullt utrustat med krukor och kokkärl, köksredskap och ett gasutbud. En diskmaskin erbjuder bekvämt städning. Du behöver inte oroa dig om du blir smutsig ute ute, det finns en tvättmaskin och torktumlare. Wi-fi och direkt-TV är tillgänglig (maj-oktober), men du behöver inte berätta för barnen. Central luften kommer att hålla alla coola på de varma sommardagarna.

Njut av en morgonkaffe på framdäcket när solen stiger, sedan en kvällscocktail på bakdäcket när du tittar på en pittoresk solnedgång över sjön. Du hittar en stor nivå gård för timmar av utomhus spel och familjen kul. Steg leder dig ner till sjön där kajen är i från maj till oktober. Tillbringa ett lugnt eftermiddagsfiske eller sitta i din trädgårdsstol och titta på barnen stänk och simma i sjön. På kvällen kan du njuta av en knäckande eld när du lyssnar på uppringningen av de bosatta lommarna. Det finns en offentlig båtlansering ungefär ¼ mil från kabinen.

När du inte vill laga mat, finns det många restauranger i området som tillfredsställer alla smaker, från fredagskvällens fiskfris eller pizza, till stora grillade hamburgare och revben. Du kan hitta äventyr på närliggande ATV / snöskoter eller koppla av på de vackra golfbanorna. Det är verkligen något för alla. En kort 10 minuters bilresa leder dig till kartracing och minigolf, natursköna norra Wisconsin tågturer, paddling och slangar ner längs Namekagon-floden eller shopping i småstäder. Venture lite längre för att hitta aktiviteter som vandring norra stranden nära ett vattenfall eller ridning. Snöskor och vandring på stugan väntar på dig om du föredrar att stanna nära. Under året finns det flera områdes festivaler och aktiviteter att njuta av. I juli hittar du spänning på Spooner Rodeo och parad. I augusti kan du heja på timmerna som de tävlar på Jack Pine Savage Days. Februari tar världsberömda längdskidåkning, Birkibeiner. En kort bilresa norrut hittar du mormors marathon i juni och Whistlestop Marathon i oktober. Oavsett säsongen finns det alltid något att göra.

Wooded getaway

This home is in the woods! We saw deer, bald eagles, wild turkeys, trumpeter swans, and more! The house is comfortable and clean and has everything necessary! The lake is small, but pretty!

A great place to stay up north…

This is our second time staying here and we love it. It is located on a small lake that has everything you may need…good fishing, swimming, a nice large yard and a nice fire pit. The cabin is clean and is well stocked with things to do such as board games, movies, and video games along with everything else that you may need during your stay. The bedrooms were large enough and comfortable. Overall we had a great, relaxing stay and look forward to coming back.

Our favorite getaway

This was our 5th stay and it’s our favorite WI getaway. Our children and grandchildren join us and it’s always a great week of family time fishing, swimming and relaxing. Sunfish lake is so peaceful and quiet. You won’t find nicer hosts than Rob & Shannon!

Northwoods Autumn Vacation

The house is situated in a quiet wooded area. The lake roads are great for long walks The house is comfortable and warm with a well stocked kitchen and a washer and dryer. Spooner is nearby and Rice Lake has Lehman's, a good supper club. We enjoyed our week in the woods!

50th Anniversary

The property is very nice. Parking is good, access to the house is good.It’s nice being close to the lake. Having a place to have a camp fire is unique. ( Even though we didn’t use it, it was there if we wanted to) The cabin is very nice, as well. Very spacious and it met the needs we had for the time we spent there. Would We come back.. Yes

Pleasant stay at the cabin

Wasn't much snow for us, so we spent a fair amount of time indoors. Lots to do around the house - including an impressive collection of radio dramas - as well as nearby in Spooner and Hayward, as well as a handful of trails. Lake was frozen enough to walk on. Best part was the peace and quiet.

Wonderful cabin!

Once again our state was fantastic. The cabin is always so clean and stocked with many items if you happen to forget something. The owner always responds right away to any questions you might have. It's our second time staying and we are sure to go back again! The boat needs a little work is all!

Happy to return

This is a very comfortable property for us. . . we will return in fall if possible. I walked our small dog on leash on road with no problems. We had dinner at Voyager Village, Hayward Steakhouse and at Lipsie Pines. .all good.

Fall and loons

The house was perfect for me and I hope to return with my husband after covid. I love having 2 living room areas, nice kitchen and dining area plus a walk in shower in master bath❣️My 3 year old Scottie was along and we had some good walks. I like that there’s a nice yard too plus table on the deck. Neighbor to left is kinda close but no one was around in October. Owners were great to work with and I am so happy I found this property on Vrbo.

Very roomy and comfortable.

Nice 3 bedroom with plenty of room for the 5 adults we had. Was nice to the have 2nd full bath as well. Quiet location on a smaller but quiet lake. We pretty much had the lake to ourselves. No jet ski's or power boats. We were able to rent a pontoon from the owners as well. Very basic pontoon but fit our needs just fine. Owners supplied a tube for pulling as well so we enjoyed that. We had a couple of questions when we got there but the owner responded quickly with the info we were looking for. Nice to have the wifi and satellite as well.

Not Spectacular but Very Solid Value

Pros: Great lot with large play area, nice lake access, crystal clear 60 acre quiet lake with excellent fishing for panfish and largemouth bass. Dated but nice ranch home with spacious common areas and smaller bedrooms. Cons: Small lake may be a downer for those into recreational activities like boating, tubing, etc. Mattresses in rooms worn out and somewhat uncomfortable. Not much of a sandy area or beach for swimming.

Memorial Day visit

This was my husband's first stay. . . I checked it out last October. . . he loved it. Very comfortable: two bathrooms, one with walk in shower, TV in living room a long way from master bedroom so he could watch late night TV, everything on one level, I love the "lake room" . Rob was very helpful with an internet glitch and responded right away. There were lots of loons calling for my delight. Good smaller and quiet blacktop road to walk our dog. Kitchen well stocked with utensils. All in all a wonderful stay and looking forward to a return visit.

Recommended Rental!

Classmates and I came for a working weekend and found the cabin to be very well-maintained and as described. This is a lovely family cabin with every homey touch imaginable. If you want to stay in a place that feels lived-in and comfortable, this is the place for you! The kitchen was well stocked and 2 of us who cook often enjoyed cooking dinners there. Extra beds are single rollaways which I didn't realize when we booked the place but that worked out just fine for our group. The afternoon sun got very hot here and the bedrooms got too stuffy for afternoon naps but the wall AC kept the main living areas comfortable. Tons of windows, great cross breezes, and a beautiful property overall. FYI that there are neighbors on either side, and on one side, there is no barrier between the houses for privacy. We spent evenings on the back deck enjoying the sunsets- the loons are AMAZING to listen to every night!! The owner was 100% responsive and accommodating. Spooner is not far and a highly recommended vacation spot in WI. We also grabbed Friday Fish Fry at the nearby Twin Oaks Bar & Restaurant. The food was amazing and service was extremely friendly and welcoming. As the first renters to visit the cabin, I think the owners did a great job and I highly recommend it to others! The only reason this isn't 5-stars is that there was an apparent miscommunication between the owner/realtor and a realtor showed up and started entering the property while we were all inside, despite us being reassured that it wouldn't happen. I let the owner know what happened and he was very apologetic; it's not something I would worry about happening again. Overall, it was great for our group and I would highly recommend the Nut House for a fun, comfy getaway spot!

Family getaway

Cabin was very nice and very clean. We had a nice relaxing vacation before we take our daughter to college! Able to do bonfires, fish, and relax!

Northwoods Thanksgiving

Perfection! Amazing location for all seasons. The property owner was so laid back, welcoming, responsive and made our stay totally stress free. The layout of this house was perfect for our huge family and friends that came to visit us while we were in town. Kitchen was stocked well enough for me to pull off an amazing Thanksgiving dinner- had every gadget I needed. Really hoping to come back when it’s warm enough to take advantage of the beautiful lake the property is sitting on!
