San Carlos Vacation

We loved the house and the location right by the beach. It has a great view. The house was clean but it needs some work. Some of the lights didn't work. The entry metal door needs to be fixed. I had to close it hard in order to latch.Overall we were happy with our stay.

Place was very clean. Good location, easy walk to many places. House in general is in need of some TLC but in decent shape

Don’t get here early they do not make arrangements around you . Very inconvenient if you come with elder people as hiking sets of stairs is a daily mission , especially for your pregnant wife . Beautiful house but they don’t communicate or try to work with you if you happen to misread the information listed . 1/5 Stars I love verbo and if this happens to you really read the information listed and contact the company beforehand

Another Great Stay

This was our third or fourth time staying at this property. It is always clean and the beds are comfortable. Since we are SCUBA divers, the lower deck with a shower and hose is perfect for us for cleaning our gear. The view from the porch makes relaxing to moonrise over the water especially enjoyable.

Not fancy, but comfortable.

I fully understand the complications with and difficulty in maintaining a beachfront property, so I can't really complain as the minor imperfections are to be expected. The management company made check-in and check-out very easy, so that was definitely a plus. Probably the biggest negative, which I think could be addressed, was the lack of water pressure in the showers. I realize that the water is probably supplied from a well and pumped into a storage tank on the roof which then feeds the showers by gravity alone. A pump assist would certainly be useful to increase the water pressure, as sometimes the water literally trickled out of the upper bathroom shower. Overall, our stay was comfortable, the wi-fi was strong, and the beach was quite calm and made for great snorkeling.There is basically no television reception (one channel), but we didn't really mind not having tv for the weekend. I'm fairly likely to book the house again in the future. Rick

Great Location

This property appeared to be unused for some time and it was not prepared for guests. It was very dirty and many of the normal amenities like light fixtures and blinds didn't work. One of the best locations in San Carlos but not one of the best rental units.

Got electrocuted in the shower!

The neighborhood was in desperate need of street repairs. Construction right next door. Beer cans (a lot) on the beach. Those stairs from the hose that lead to beach are EXTREMELY steep and dangerous. the beach is all rocks, and a lot of them are sharp. Kitchen: no paper towels, no dish towels, no dish soap. NO PROPANE. So the kitchen was useless. Went to take a shower, turned both hot and cold on. when i got in, I reached to turn the cold off, and was electrocuted! Finished shower and reached for the hot knob. very strong electrocution! I had to get a towel to turn it off! That was it! I was done! Called mgmt, she got us a beautiful home in Costa del Mar (sandy beach). we moved in the morning. but we had already brought ALL of our stuff in. so back up those dreadful stairs Do not stay here, In fact, VRBO should refund the outrageous fee they charge!!

Construction next door and no water

Only stayed one night. The construction crew next door were walking on our roof to work on the house being built next door. We woke up the first morning to no water and they moved us to another home. Not sure why the water didn't work, but we were moved regardless by our house managers because of the noise and water issues.

Amazing view and location

The house was large and plenty of room for 8 of us. When we had issues with the ac in one room it was replaced within 2 hours with a brand new one. They made our stay easy and we will definitely be back. Perfect beach front home for family. They made us feel welcome. All that's missing are minor things like dish rags, kitchen towels, floor cleaner and cleaning basics but we brought our own. Beautiful home and the owner is very attentive to making your stay a great one . I highly recommend for your next vacation and I will be back for sure next year.

The view and location are perfect the house is ok.

The fact the this house is by the beach it's great. It is no a great beach for the kids to swim in, there is a lot of rocks and seaweed. The house lacks a lot of basics like cleaning and cooking supplies. The house is very rustic and beds are old. The AC and wifi work fine. My husband almost burned his feet trying to use the grill. As he put the charcoal and lit it up the bottom of the grill came down. Overall it was ok, we will just have to buy cleaning and cooking supplies, also make sure to get mosquito repellant.
